If you are looking for a place to just chill and relax Mystic Sand is the place to go. My favorite part of mystic is the mornings and evenings, very beautiful sight. The staff are very friendly and understanding, services is good.

My experience at Mystic sands went FAR above and beyond what I was expecting. I was expecting a regular hotel experience, but it turned out to be far more. Mossy and her husband Maka are the caretakers for the hotel and they took care of us like family from the start. Maka is the driver for guests (including airport pickup/dropoff) and Mossy takes care of breakfast, activity/excursion bookings and pretty much everything else. The hotel has (I think) 5 regular rooms, plus a standalone large house with two king bedrooms. We booked a regular room but Mossy moved us into the standalone house since we were the only guests there. Throughout our stay, my friend and I interacted with Mossy/Maka many times. Mossy is like a mother and has an outpouring of love and kindness. TIP - If you are there on a Sunday - go to church with Mossy and Maka. The language is Tongan but the experience was spiritual and heartfelt... and the singing is fantastic. TIP - Remember Tonga is more about cultural experiences... There are not a lot of restaurants/bars/etc., so grab your own food at the market/store. Definitely make sure to have food/drinks purchased before Sunday, as stores are closed all day Sundays.

If your after a tropical holiday away from the crowds but have all the trimmings Mystic Sands is a must. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Location is great with lovely out look.

An Absolute Must 😍 loved the Staff and all the Natural Beauty Mystic Sands has to offer' use of paddle board and Kayaks and dive equipment' I definitely recommend 💯% And Mosi she's a Sweetheart who was very Welcoming and cooks the most Yummy Food......

We planned to stay one week at Mystic Sands. Luckily, the ferry was delayed, so we had 2 more nights to spend at this lovely place. We stayed at the villa with great views of the lagoon. Except one evening when staff cooked a great local meal for us, we cooked for ourselves in the well equipped kitchen. Our children loved the small seawater pool. We loved the snorkelling (day and night). We also used the Kajaks to go to the lonely island nearby. The staff took great care of us and was super helpful. We can highly recommend this place for those who self-cater and are looking for a quiet holiday.

10/10 would recommend. A scene that cannot be beat. They were very accommodating and the waterfront had kayaks and other things for us to use to explore the area.

We have just had an amazing 5 days at Mystic sands. It was a perfect trip, everything went to plan. Adriana and Kjell were so generous with helping us facilitate our trip. Highly recommend !

An absolutely fabulous experience! Mystic Sands management and staff clearly take pride in providing their guests with a friendly relaxing stay that you will repeat many times over. The atmosphere is quiet, the rooms and grounds clean and tidy, the beach excellent for views day and night, and wonderful swimming off the dock. The reef fish around the small coral heads off the beach offer hours of snorkeling enjoyment. And then there are the meals prepared to your order by the amazing Mosi, and served to you in your room, or on your deck, or on the dock. What could be better!

My husband and I spent a month in Vava'u, Tonga. We experienced several accommodations in town (Neiafu), and away from it. Mystic Sands was by far the best for friendliness, reliability, cleanness, and quality service. Super relaxing experience. Even though there was full occupancy when we were there, still felt like we had the place mostly to ourselves. It was nice to have high quality beds for both of our cranky backs!!! Extra nice staff. very accommodating to your needs. You'll love Kjell (owner), Mosi (the real boss :)), and her family. She is an amazing cook!!

I have stayed at Mystic Sands for many years over the whale swim seasons. Hands down one of the best places to stay. The rooms are comfortable, the staff is amazing, and the ease of access to water could not be more perfect! I took this picture on a clear night, showing the Milky Way!

While I've not stayed here, I've seen your location on a youtube channel, (Wynns) Looks great, and we all hope you and all your family on Tonga have made it through the Tsunami and Volcano eruption safely.

Very nice rooms and super friendly staff. Great if you want to get away from the crowds and are going whale swimming as the boats pick you up right at their private jetty.
