I think you need to love this kind of place, if not you will be dissapointed by the food. The food is ok but for this price you will find better food with ease in Stockholm. The Breakfast was like any scandic Hotel. So, i do not recommend staying here if food is your main reason.

Beautiful surroundings, perfectly set up conference rooms, great food and confutable and nice rooms. All in all a well spent 24 hours. I will be back for sure.

Great day here. Beautiful scenery and also to the art exhibition on display here untill 16th Aug. The exhibition has art from various artists with paintings on display inside the cafe building and many sculptures situated around the grounds. Was very peaceful and intriguing walk through the castle grounds.

For a company conference with colleagues based in the city? It’s really far away, like: really. Driving to Rånäs during winter will take you almost twice the time you think it will (ok, maybe just like 30 minutes longer, but still!). The food was great and the staff knowledgeable! Rooms are small and pretty old (but it’s a frickin’ castle, what did you expect?). The sauna is fantastic, multiple hot tubs and ice bathing in the winter!

This is a must stay if you want to get away from the city. A lovely bus trip to Rimbo and you arrive at the most stunning location of Ranus Castle. Words fail me to describe this piece of paradise. Food was out of this world. Service impeccable. Not stuffy, quite informal but lovely. The spa jacuzzi by the lake was just stunning and peaceful. The rooms, all decorated individually were all lovely. Attention to detail of this hotel is outstanding from beautifully lit romantic candles everywhere. The ambiance was just perfect from the moment you arrive. You have to go all out at dinner and try their own champagne. To that end...the breakfast of kings..suberb choice and truly delicious. The Castle as been in the family for many years and hosts a fabulous art display along with many historic artefacts.A MUST STAY.

Nice old castle, excellent service, high class cuisine, great bar with free pool table, nice surroundings incl. rooms for seminars, wellness/spa, etc. Can only recommend!

Very nice outdoor hot tubs by the lake with changing rooms and a mini bar and sauna just nearby. The rooms in their annex had quite thin walls, but I'd guess the rooms in the castle are better and more soundproof. The dinner service was excellent and very professional. The food was super, and the wine selections a trip around the world.

Two day conference. Amazing castle, wonderful service and lovely environment. Most definitely worth the trip and not too far off the airport.
