My partner and I stumbled onto this gem on our way up to the Plaka Castle to watch the sunset. We walked in because they had amazing music playing and had all kinds of yummy drinks displayed for carry-out, which we bought and took up to enjoy the sunset. The Oryhio team was so nice and welcoming that we went right back there after the sunset because on our way up the team helped us choose the best local beers and during that we met the owner Panagiotis (a true musical artist and composer extraordinaire), his brother (the star bartender) Nikolas, and their two right hand peeps Panagiotis (the same name, yes, and the philosophical soul), and Katerina (the sweetest angel). They have black and white photographs displayed of some the of most influential people in the world throughout history and had us guessing the names, and told us if we got them right we'd get a free shot... well, we didn't but they still gave us the shots! While they have an amazing extensive cocktail menu, we let Katerina know that we wanted whatever Nikolas wanted to make us... and we were NEVER disappointed. We showed up with some German friends we'd just met at dinner beforehand and enjoyed a full night of amazing music, cocktails, and the occasional local shots that Panagiotis would bring over. We loved this place and the people so much that we went back to Oryhio (phonetically: Oreeheeo, and it means "Mine" as Milos has a history in mining, read about it!) every single night that we were in Milos Island because we were lucky enough to be staying right in Plaka and it was very easy to walk home. We had countless nights of amazing conversations with the Oryhio team, talking about life, travel, politics, and all kinds of philosophical topics. I can happily say that we made lifelong friends in each of these magical people and we hope to be back. I could not recommend Oryhio more to anyone else whether for breakfast, dinner or simply drinks! Don't miss this spot on your trip to Plaka in Milos, you will be blown away by the heart and soul of Panagiotis #1, #2, Katerina, and Nikolas, along with the fabulous playlist that fills the days and nights and the drinks that make the perfect cherry on top.

Excellent place for a refreshing cocktail! You can sit in the beautiful garden bar area or take it to go up to the castle to watch the sunset. Good prices and very delicious cocktails. Highly recommend and hope to go back when I return to Milo in the future!

We had amazing cocktails here! The owner was awesome as the atmosphere is fun. We loved the vibes in the middle ok Plaka down a cute cobblestone street!

The place feels like a heaven. Food is good . He collects beautiful rocks. What a wonderful hobby, right? Not a commercial place but I feel his real passion there.

We came to the mine bar twice in the same night because everything was so good about it. The ambiance is so nice, great music playlist, the place is beautiful, the service is fast and the waitresses are so nice!! They had great recommandations on cocktails and we shared a big tapas plate with amazing cheese (and I’m French, cheese is very important to me). I forgot to mention that it was not crowded, and the prices were really affordable. I recommend this place with eyes closed!

We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be returning on our next trip to this beautiful island. Highly recommended!

Excellent place to enjoy your drink in the yard in the center of Plaka. The stuff is friendly and the toilets are clean (although they do not lock from the inside). The only music you'll listen is classic rock which gets a little boring after a while. I would prefer more genres. One the other hand, the prices are quite high. They don't have draft beers and the each beer bottle costs €6. I would visit it again because it's nice and it's the only option if you want an alternative place to enjoy your drink (or your brunch).
