The tour of the Acropolis and the museum in Athens was a great experience. Our tour guide, Anne, was wonderful and really made the tour special. One thing that we didn't know beforehand was that there was a non-museum option, which was helpful for those of us who either really enjoyed or did not enjoy the museum portion. The tour itself was quite long, and for someone who isn't used to being on their feet for extended periods of time or who needs breaks to rest, it might be a bit challenging. It was a lovely day when we visited in November, but the museum itself was quite hot in certain areas. I can imagine that it would get even more uncomfortable in the summer. Despite these challenges, Anne had a great rhythm and was able to keep the group together and entertained. She had a very interactive and engaging style, and her stories really kept us involved and captivated. Overall, if you're up for a full tour, I would definitely recommend this one and Anne as a guide. It was a truly memorable experience.

We did the morning Acropolis tour (2 hour), our guide Anastasia was absolutely fantastic. She knew all the shady spots to stop and tell the stories of the Acropolis, the various buildings and areas. She was very knowledgeable and engaging every step of the way, explaining every detail and in many cases linking the history of Athens and the Acropolis to the modern day. The group headsets were so handy, there were many other groups without them and the guides could not be heard very well because of the crowds. Great communication from the company as well, we received an email the afternoon before our tour to tell us that there were a large number of cruise ships in Athens so the Acropolis was expected to be busier than usual so the tour was going to be 30 minutes earlier to try and avoid the crowds. This meant an early alarm call as we were staying in Monastiraki but turned out to be worth it. I would definitely use the company again for any future tours and hope that Anastasia is the guide.

We did the gourmet food tour with Irene (Eirini). First of all I must say what a terrific guide/host. Irene was so engaging with everyone in the group, providing some really interesting background to the food, and some of the sights as we wandered around the city. She certainly has a brilliant ability to connect with people - Thank you Irene, you made the tour a piece of perfection. The tour itself was very well arranged, touching on some delectable Greek foods, in places where you'd never expect to find them. A good variety from savoury to sweet, coffee to wine, and olive oils to vinegars. There's some there for everyone. Really well worth the time and money. Top rated experience!

Used Athens Walks Tour Company for our Private Gourmet Food walking tour. We were the only couple on this so we got personal attention from our guide who was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the area and all of the hidden places that we visited off of the typical tourist stops. We were able to try all of the authentic foods, wine, and different spices. The tour of the meat market and fish market was educational. Worth every dollar spent.

Kimone was an incredible storyteller for our tour for Acropolis and the museum! In the 4 hours of the tour, he managed to keep us engaged and enlightening through his sense of humor, introspective questions, thoughtful instructions and of course his knowledge on the history of Acropolis. My friend and I had such a great time learning about Acropolis in ways that we probably wouldn’t have if we were to just visit the sights on our own. Thank you for value adding to our experience in Acroplis and Athens! You have left a memorable mark on our first trip to Athens!

We had a WONDERFUL time on our tour with Anabelia! She shared a lot of great information along the tour, even more than what was unexpected. She has a great story for each location and makes you feel welcome right from the get go. We were also happy that there was enough of options of foods and were able to accommodate our palettes. If you have a chance to work with this company, make sure you do, and REQUEST Anabelia, you won’t be disappointed ☺️

We used Athens by bike found at this location for a 3 hour ebike tour of the city I'd highly recommend. Mostly in non or low traffic areas. Teens liked it too.

Very efficient setup. We only had to wait a short while before the tour began. They give you a receiver and earphone so you can hear the guied at all times. Our guied was funny and very knowledgeable. She gave us plenty of breaks, so the hike up the Acropolis hill wasn't so bad

Our guide Dimos with Athens Walks was amazing. Very knowledgeable on our tour of the Acropolis site. He even added humor to the wealth of information provided. He went at a perfect pace for the group and gave everyone a chance to sit and listen as he described the history. Highly recommend this tour. We did the tour without the Acropolis museum but it was the perfect length of time.

Zeta was a great guide. Covered a wide range of perspectives: history, mythology, architecture, art and politics. Navigated us through the crowds and out of the sun - made the whole journey a tour to remember.

My wife and I try to do a walking food tour when we visit a new place, a wonderful way to experience the food, meet a local and get to know the city and the culture. This trip did not disappoint!! From the moment we met her, Dorela was lively, funny and above all informative. We sampled at least 6 different foods, including traditional Greek pies, loukoumades, souvlaki, different cheeses and salads, coffee made the original Greek way, meat samplers and toured the fish market, meat market and a vegetable ( farmers) market. A great time where we learned a lot. Highly recommended walk and if you can get her Dorela is a gem

Tour of Acropolis. Tour guide was great & very knowledgeable. 5.30pm your wasn’t to busy on an overcast day. Be prepared for a lot of walking and stairs, but definitely worth it. Great history lesson by the tour guide, and many photo opportunities along the tour.

This walk was fantastic. So much fun very interesting. Our group was small so we could hear everything being said by Persephone (our guide). The route was great and I really learnt a lot about Athens, historically and currently. Persephone, who had taken a year off, was due to start working as a doctor soon. She is a local so knows Athens very well.

We participated in the Greek cooking class in Athens. This was the first planned activity my wife and I did on our honeymoon. It was truly a great way to start our vacation! Our chef, Stam, was incredibly knowledgeable about Greek culture and cuisine. He was also very friendly and sociable, involving every single person attending. The activity was well organized and together we created an absolutely amazing dinner. We all laughed, drank wine, and made traditional Greek courses. I could not recommend this activity enough, especially with Stam as the chef!

Hands down one of the best travel experiences and a great way to learn about a new culture. I took the Athens Greek Cooking Class. I am not the best cook in the world and Chef Stam made it easy for me to learn. This class is very interactive, fun, lots of dad jokes, and the food was delicious. We made Tzatziki, Aegean Salad, Spinach pie with homemade phyllo, Moussaka, and Galatopita (dessert). Great location and the dinner overlooked Acropolis.

The feeling of being overwhelmed at the Acropolis (Parthenon) is surely something that can take a person away from experiencing this magical tourist destination. Do yourself a favour and sign up for a tour with Athens Walks Tour Company. Our tour guide, Artemis, did a fantastic job leading our group during a 4 hour tour which included the Acropolis (Parthenon) and the Acropolis Museum. 4 hours seems like a lot, but trust me when I say it goes by very fast. Artemis was very knowledgeable and did a great job at ensuring we got the most of our time together. She was very thoughtful of everyone in the group and explained the rich history and culture clearly and passionately. We learned so much at the Acropolis, Parthenon, and the museum. Thank you Artemis for making our experience a memorable one. 10/10 would recommend!

Great views to enjoy the feast you will prepare. Chefs do an excellent job of explaining process, providing tips/hints, and keeping the class fun. Company is extremely helpful. I accidentally selected wrong date and didn't realize it until the day before we arrived in Athens. They worked with me on rescheduling even though the other classes were full.

This is a great tour company! We did two tours with Athens Walks and they were both great! We did the Acropolis/Museum tour with Kostas and the food tour with Dorela and they were both great! We also were able to get some great recommendations for other restaurants from Dorela after the food tour. I had a ton of fun and learned a lot on both tours. I HIGHLY recommend this company for any of your Athens tours

Very well run tours; we had a great guide on our very informative tour of the Acropolis. We came away with so much context for what we were looking at, a great sense of history, myths and legends and an understanding of the justifyable pride of the Greeks in their rich heritage. Our guide was a qualified Greek tour guide called Vicky, who has a huge personal interest in the culture, as well as great communication skills. This was a highlight of our holiday!

Dorina was so much more than a guide for my wife and I. She explained the small and subtle connections between historical areas of the Acropolis and why the sites became important and how sites in other areas of Greece were connected to the Acropolis complex. She took beautiful pictures of us, shared her personal experiences with us, explained how the ancient world around us functioned and how it formed the foundation of the modern world. I will alway request her. She was my favorite guide of the 5 guides I had in Greece.

We did the gourmet walking tour and it was amazing. Anabelia was an excellent guide - friendly, insightful and really knowledgeable. Everywhere we went felt very authentic and we visited places we would never have found on our own. All of the food and drink was tasty and very varied. The tour was excellent value for money. My only recommendation would be not to eat before your tour, there was more than enough food and you definitely won't finish the tour hungry! Would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Athens, it was an absolute pleasure to spend the afternoon with Anabelia and easily one of the best things to do in the city.

One of the best cooking experiences I’ve had , and it was located in the beautiful city of Athens, Greece. The chef was excellent in his explaining of the dishes and the execution. Our dishes that we created with him , were delicious!!!! We enjoyed our culinary delights, overlooking the sunset and the acropolis as our backdrop. Don’t miss this experience.

Anastasia P. Our tour guide was excellent! We had a 4 hour tour of the acropolis and the museum and she was ver informative, engaging and personable. Athens Walks was recommended by our friends who had visited Athens a week before us a s we were not disappointed. There were plenty of time to take breaks / use the toilets etc. Our price included tickets to the Acropolis and the museum and we were able to go in rather quickly as our meeting time was at 9 am. The meeting point was about a two minute walk from the Acropolis metro stop and easy to find.

I have had the best experience with Anna, our tour guide, on the 2-hour morning Acropolis Tour. She is patient, passionate, kind, knowledgeable, and very accommodating to everyone's needs. She is the greatest asset to your company and I have no hesitation to rate her and the tour satisfaction 12 out of 10. She is above and beyond. Her knowledge about the Acropolis and the Ancient World is second to none. A big applause and a BIG thank you to Anna for her excellent tour guide. My husband, and I truly appreciate it. 👍👍

We had a terrible tour guide for a half day tour of the Acropolis and the museum. Her voice was monotonous. She repeated the fact that yellow stones were original and white stones were new, at least 7-8 times. Never showed us great spots to take pictures. We were there on a very busy day. This company may have other good guides, but ours wasn't good.

Upon arriving in Athens, I wanted to get a good experience with the Acropolis. For this, I decided to choose Athens Walks. Our tour consisted of only 7 people and was conducted in German by Stelios. It was a real pleasure to have him as our tour guide. I really enjoyed the time and he was personal, entertaining, and funny. All in all, a very warm recommendation! Especially for young EU citicens, who can get the tour for half of the price :)

We had a wonderful time with Stamatis and Fotis during our rooftop cooking class. They had a plethora of knowledge on the history of the dishes and also gave great recommendations for the rest of our trip. We did the combined Acropolis and museum tour. For us this was too long and too much information. The guide was very knowledgeable but the barrage of information about Greek mythology was somewhat overwhelming. I would do it again, but split the tour. In fact the museum could almost be DYI with a self guided listening tour. Overall great, but be prepared for big crowds especially as the season gathers pace. It will be very hot in August

We did a walking tour with Ana of the Acropolis. Ana was so enthusiastic and made the tour fun. She provided valuable information about the history, but communicated this in a clear and engaging way. She went above and beyond to ensure everyone was comfortable, helped take (really good) photos and got to know the individuals within the group. It was clear that Ana is very passionate about what she does, because of this the tour was absolutely the highlight of our Athens trip. We recommend going to the Acropolis Museum before doing the walk, and we did the evening walk which had less crowds and was much cooler in the hot summer. Thank you so much Ana!

Excellent tour, the guide moved us along at moderate pace while filling in the history of each site. Maybe would have preferred more history of the actual sites than generally of ancient Greece.

Did an acropolis afternoon tour. The guide was very nice, but I admit I have had much better tours in other places. The Rick Steves audio guide tour of the acropolis is free and includes almost everything mentioned on this tour as well. Did I enjoy it? Sure. Was it worth 30€. Absolutely not.
