👍👍 I rarely rate free tours this highly, but Martin really made an impression back in October 2018. Not only did he show us the big sites around Athens and explain the history as well as the current significance (when applicable), but he also showed us places to eat and drink, and discussed the culture... I rarely rate free tours this highly, but Martin really made an impression back in October 2018. Not only did he show us the big sites around Athens and explain the history as well as the current significance (when applicable), but he also showed us places to eat and drink, and discussed the culture of Athens and Greece such that we could get a better understanding of how everything fit together. Sitting up near the speaker's rock in the breeze staring at the Acropolis and trying to connect multiple pieces of information was a great chance to stretch the mind. After the (extended) tour ended, he noted all his recommendations of places to eat/drink on a map so that everyone could take a photo. Then he spent 15 more minutes answering questions about visiting locations in and outside of Athens. Thank you, Martin.

Even if there are some strict rules because of the virus, this great Team worked on to make our Athens visit possible. So we had George on the side, and he showed us the ancient city. His stories, his route and recommendations just made us clear, how important is to have a guide with you. We got a complete introduction and a super walk around ancient Athens, we loved it all! Thanks a lot!

We planned to do this walking tour very early in our week-long stay in Athens as a way to get oriented to the Acropolis. What a great tour it turned out to be. Our guide, George, was very well informed and the route chosen was perfect for us. We met up, easily finding our group from the directions given, and started out. The tour goes away from the busy tourist area and you soon find yourself gazing at sites you wouldn’t have thought to explore. George combined explanations of mythology, history, archaeology, and modern culture in ways that helped us understand the importance of the ancient Greeks. When the tour concludes back at the starting point you will be ready to venture out on your own. I recommend you take this tour and give the guide a good tip

Had a fantastic walking tour around Athens with George. He was very friendly and knew so much about Athens. George was very passionate and took the time to answer questions in detail. He took us to many places I'd never have found on my own. I couldn't have asked for a better tour or guide. Couldn't recommend this tour group more. PS. The admin team were also lovely and got back to me so quickly. It was very appreciated.

I came across this service a day before I arrived and decided it best to take this tour as it might provide the necessary on the ground information I may need to make decisions about my time in Athens. And was I right. Oh yes. Our guide Ariane, is a gem. She is knowledgeable and such a strong story-teller. She brought the sights alive and with surround sound. She provided the tools I needed to plan my tour productively. As a result of this encounter, my experience of Athens was greatly heightened and immeasurably enjoyed. Every city needs this service.

I had an tour with Eva on 3.07.19 what a fantastic walking tour. I don't normally rate anything or recommend anything online but Eva was an awesome guide. She is very knowledgeable and taught our group many things about the history of Athens. She also took us to some places that were off the tourist path and I never would have seen those without her help. She shared so many recommendations that I could then use in my next few days in Athens to make the most of my time. She was also very thoughtful and ensured our group had plenty of shade, opportunities to refill our water etc on very hot day. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Athens.

This morning we took the free Athens walking tour with Eva. Eva was a wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable on the one hand and amusing and informative on the other hand. The tour lasted 2 hours and a half and gave us a very good overview of the center of Athens including the modern and ancient city. Aside from the sightseeing aspect Eva gave us valuable historic and cultural anecdotes. She is fluent in English and is a very charming woman. We recommend her and the tour to every first time visitor in Athens.

Went with my partner and had a really good tour! The 3 hour tour passed like a breeze, the information was fun, and of course Andrew was a very knowledgeable tour guide. Andrew is a very welcoming individual and was a really nice person to talk to. The tips and tricks at the end of the tour were really helpful and helped us have an amazing stay in Athens. Thank you Andrew!

I have been on dozens of walking tours in my life, but the one taken by george was definitely one of the most fascinating. George is an archaeologist, originally from Athens, with an enormous enthusiasm for telling the stories of this city. The tour lasted a little longer than the average walking tour (just under 3 hours), but my friends and I could have stayed and listened to him for more and more. He also gave us many tips on where to eat like real locals at cheap prices. Thank you very much for the experience!

We were lucky enough to have Maria as our guide, she was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the city and its history and such a funny, interesting and wonderful personality. She offered so many recommendations and was able to answer any question we had! I highly recommend this tour, easy to book on to, well organised and if you have Maria I am sure you will have as amazing a time as we did! Efcharisto!

We enjoyed an amazing tour with Andrew! His knowledge was impressive and he covered such diverse topics ...history, mythology, food, culture, .... He showed us interesting places away from the tourist mainstream and we got to know another side of Athens. Thanks so much!

10/10 tour, no complaints, only warm fuzzy feelings. Andrew the Aussie-Greek was knowledgable, entertaining, and paced the tour really well for all of us (different ages, endurance and first languages). I would definitely recommend. We booked this at 8am on a whim, for the 10am tour the same day. Thanks to the admin team for responding so quickly too!

Jonathan gave is a fantastic tour! We got to hear about and see ancient Greek history, and present culture as well! He encouraged us to explore the many faces of Athens through its many neighborhoods. We got lots of recommendations for places to eat and where to explore. So glad we did this tour!

This is such an awesome offering! You'll get a crash course in the history of Athens from very knowledgeable people. Michael was our tour guide and spent 3 hours walking us all over the city. Well worth your time! Do this walking tour before you visit any of the monuments and you'll have awesome context for what you're looking at. I especially loved learning about the Tower of the Winds and that the Antikythera device is most likely stolen from there!

We had a tour with Eleni. She was ok, can be more engaging. The restaurant she recommended though (Trattoria) was absolutely horrendous! There are way way better restaurants around the area, don’t fall into the trap.

I was travelling with a friend and we were both positive to unveil some secrets of this mystic city so we thought it was a good idea to give it a go. To be honest I wasn't expecting much but it turned out to be one of the highlights in Athens. George is such an excellent orator capable of making arise enthusiasm to anybody and with his knowledge of the Greek society no doubt you will discover something new and surprising after signing up in one of his tours. Be aware it lasts roughly a couple of hours and although you re not running a marathon I would encourage you to wear comfy shoes, your feet will thank you later! Enjoy
