Scam bar. I met on the street by a "friendly man" who "loved Americans," invited to a bar, and ended up paying 60 Euro just to leave after I decided it was no a bar I wanted to be in. The girls asked me to buy them drinks that are at least triple priced for them and they offered me "company" before I left.

Alexandros the owner met me on the street to offer me a business card for his restaurant. What a lovely guy! Next thing I know I am locked in the bar and get asked to pay 40 euros for a beer. Scumbags. Stay away from these ripoff artists!

Scammers bar. If you're reading this, it's probably too late like it is for me. Got lead to the bar by a friendly man who offered me a beer. Then the girls started chatting me up and casually asked if they could have a drink with me. Of course, the drinks were 30 euros and went on my bill. The door is probably lockable and the bouncer outside would not let anyone escape.

This people are dishonest and liar The supposed owner, an old man stopped me in the street asking me for the time. Then he asked me where I was from and here start his lies telling me that his brother has a greek restaurant close where I live and then he said wanted to give me a list of the typical food I shouldn't miss during my trip. He pushed me into a ugly bar with the pretext that he was going to have greek music concert. As soon as we entered I saw it was not a such bar cafe he was saying. He said that he was coming back because he was looking for a pen and immediately his workers, two girls came and start asking me to buy them a drink. I ran away straight away but not before to being charged for a drink a didn't request but they brought me. It is a SCAM and it should be checked by the authorities for catching "customers" with such lies It was disgusting

Seriously avoid this place as a tourist. Were stopped on the streets and then quite forcibly encouraged to go inside, which we did out of politeness and ignorance. Immediately noticed something was very wrong once we got in and walked out as quick as we could. Not sure exactly what goes in there, but left feeling dirty and grateful to have come to our senses. PS. place has recently rebranded. Used to be called Reina - reading the google reviews is pretty self-explanatory. Definitely a scam. Avoid.

So I take it I'm not the first guy to meet the old man with a limp and his thirsty coworkers. Update: like many, the scam focuses on us Americans and the idea they are inviting you in for free drinks. I at least got my drink free because I said the old man brought me in for a drink so they can collect it from him as I technically agreed to paying for 1st round for the girls. After they gulped it down and asked for another, I realized I'd been scammed. I randomly had the chance to speak to some cops as I was touring more of the city and they stopped at the same gazebo I was at. I told them the story and they said asked if I met the old man. They know this place but can't do anything about it seemingly. Even if they closed it down, the old man will just set up somewhere else.

PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE OR TALK TO ANY OLD MAN WHO SEEMS SWEET!!!! It's unfortunate that most people are unaware of this place until after it's too late! I don't usually write reviews but this experience was so bad I felt like I had to share. We met a seemingly friendly old man with a cane who invited us to his bar and nothing seemed out of the ordinary until we got there. We ordered some drinks and then that's where the trouble started. We had a couple of very old ladies come up who also asked that we buy them drinks and we try to decline. This is also when my friend and I started feeling dizzy and realized that the drinks might have been spiked. The women were getting agressive and started calling us "cheap indians". We felt uncomfortable and that's when we decided to run. Luckily we made it out without any further issues but I'm hoping anyone else visiting Athens doesn't fall for this scam!

Avoid at all costs... all the stories are true... A friendly guy will meet you and say come and i will give you my card and see the place..and then they will scam you ..thank god i only paid 10 euros and refused any thing else

It's a scam. They have a network of people that go around looking for tourists and they bring them in pressing us to spend money by buying a random girl a drink. Avoid this place at all costs.

An old guy with a cane approached us and told us stories. What a nice guy. He told us he owned a bar and would like to give us a few beers. How nice. The bar looked shady from the get go. Then he introduced us to two "cute" girls(women). They wanted us to buy them drinks, then it dawned on me: Ah yes the good old scam. I just told them fair play for tricking and scamming me on the way out. Cost us 105eu for 2 drinks. 0/5 stars.

Listen, if you go to this bar, you will leave with a story. Whether that story is good or bad depends on how much money you're okay with spending. If you buy the girls a drink you better have a generous 401k to fall back on because you will need it. Was it expensive? Yes. Would I do it again? Yes. Read other reviews and make your own decision. But if you want a drink at 4am, don't care about money and you're staying a few doors down, then Darlings may be the story you've yet to tell.

I will give a zero star if I could. Please AVOID AT ALL COST if you're a tourist. Same story as the other travellers - a friendly old man will approach and befriend you then invite you to the bar for drinks. Got scammed 300 euros. Police report had been filed.

Where's the 0 Star option? And of course, sorry to tell you, but it really is too late if you're reading this. Hopefully you didn't get scammed for too much money. Not sure how this place manages to not get shut down, but I guess if no one complains to the authorities then nothing will get done about it. Not that I think anything would really get done about it. But, if you're the lucky one to read a review BEFORE going in then, you're welcome.

SCAM ALERT- Same story as others, luckily I heard about this and once I realized what was happening I left before they could get more out of me. I still lost 10 euros, I tried to leave but security stopped me. Reported to police. Dear owner go to hell. This place is ruining Athens.

We were taken advantage of, disrespected, and violated. My friend and I stopped for 30 minutes for a beer (I had 2, he had 1). They charged us €570! They charged for 18 additional drinks at €30 each! We tried to contest it to no avail. This place and the people who work here do not represent the people of Greece. We spent 2 weeks in Greece and this was the only violation of Greek hospitality that we experienced. Please don't go to this place. Hopefully they will be closed for good very soon and no more people will get scammed.

This bar and that **** of an old man puts a stain on greek hospitality and people. A heavy lesson learned that one should always put suspicion on human nature. A pure scam house being run here with the worst type of human beings. If you are reading this while you are there then just make a run for it and give them a good ol' middle finger right before you leave

It's Nov. 2023 and me and my dad got lured into this bar by a friendly older man a couple blocks away, hanging near a pita joint. He was very friendly and chatty and offered us a drink at "his" bar. We walked in an he introduced us to a few women who asked us for drinks. My dad was pretty sketched out and wanted to bail. For 4 drinks, they charged us $110 euros!! Insane, and they wanted cash because the credit card machine was broken, of course. This place is for unsuspecting travelers who get suckered into burning through cash.

We desperately needed a bathroom after a whole day of touring and this bar was the closest place, we decided to go in since someone in the group wanted to drink. As we were in there, there was a couple arguing with the bartender. The couple didn’t want to pay as they said they were being charged way too much. The bartender was yelling with them too. We paid no mind to them but we should’ve. As the check came, it was over $150 for a couple of beers. We were a group of 5 wanted everyone to pay their part. We asked the bartender for a copy of the receipt so we can do this. She seemed defensive but gave it to us after. The receipt wasn’t even detailed, it just said “A1 - $10” for everything. We were trying to figure out who had what. The bartender was talking to her co-worker and noticed we were trying to figure out the bill. In order to distract us, she gave us all free shots (which worked) When paying, the bartender, made a copy of the front of the credit card and receipt and had the cardholder sign. There was too much happening personally with the group that the cardholder signed without questioning and we left. After we all came to our senses, we realized we messed up by letting them take the extra payment and also why did the make a copy of the card and the cardholder sign? It was too sketchy and we unfortunately didn’t realize this sooner. We came to read reviews and yup it was too late. As a precaution, the card was cancelled with the bank. DO NOT GO TO THIS BAR!!!!!!

Well this was quite the establishment. We didn’t read the reviews until after we went but oh man we were laughing! This old man saw us waiting for our Uber and told us to come in for a drink. Chatted with us feeling welcome. We walked in and the place the dead. The music was great but the three female bartenders were just twirling their thumbs. We stayed for a single drink each and man, they were the most expensive drinks in Greece so far on our trip!

Place is a scam! My friend got his phone stolen there and they refused to give it back. On top of that they scam you for drinks 15 euro minium for ouzo and then the women try to course you into buying them 30 euro wine. Stay away from this place at all cost!

If you are reading this it might be too late. This place is a scam. You'll overpay for a drink for yourself and the bartender. Buyer beware. Would be a big 0 if that was an option.

A scam in every way, if you read these reviews you'll at least know what you're getting into. Good news, if you call them out on they're price gouging they at least drop the "tax" which I'm pretty sure is just a tip that they say is tax so tourists don't question it.

Not a place we would voluntarily go in especially not realising initially what sort of establishment it was but the staff/girls gave us immediately a menu so we realised what we were paying for & at least the beer was cold. And it gave us a good laugh

just like every other comment, yes this is a scam place. An old man partially blind, tricked me into going inside, and ordered a beer for me. When the bill came it was 20 euros for a local lager bottle. Lol if you're reading its too late, or dont go in.

Walking down the street, some guy came up to us and asked us for the time, then asking us where we’re from and inviting us to his “cafe,” to get his business card. Then, as we were walking down he was telling us how the drinks were “free” since he loved Americans and wanted to talk to us. When going in the bartender just gave us the drinks and the “nice guy” left. Girls then started coming up to us, having a small conversation and then asking to buy them a drink, then leaving after we said nah. Then she said when are you guys going to pay. So we we’re all confused because the guy told us it was free. After some arguing we decided to pay the price and get scammed. This Place needs to get taken down and do not fall for there stupid scams.

Its a scam, dont ever go there. A guy would talk to you very nicely and lure you into the bar than 2 women on the bar would offer you drinks and ask you to buy them few as well. Also the drinks are way too expensive. I got a bill of 270 euro for 4 drinks.

Innocent looking old man with a cane yells saying “Are you Indian” which me and my brother being nice replied yes and he asked us if we grew up in America judging by our accent. He told us he just moved back to Athens from Denver and told us to come to his bar so he could give us his business card. Short story short basically we go in the “bar” through this sketchy looking door and right away there are these two older European blonde women, to the right there’s this balding old guy and ahead of us is this unattractive women with some skinny dude sitting next to her. As soon as me and my brother sit down we told the bartender we don’t drink cuz something felt off. In which they gave us two coca cola’s(which we were charged 25 Euros for)! Then the two blonde European girls approach me and my brother, the one talking to me was very touchy and only cared abt me staying in the bar. I had a flight or fight instinct in which my brother felt the same. As soon as we felt that we said goodbye to the two older women in which their smiles turnt into a face of anger. Everyone was looking at us including the “old innocent guy” not saying a word. Seriously I don’t know what these people were thinking the women were unattractive and looked lifeless. If your gonna get younger guys in your bar atleast get younger better looking women if your gonna rob and scam us lmao. Old man if you see this, work on living the rest of your days as a better person.
