Very cute Swedish town that’s ideal for a day trip for those visiting from Stockholm or abroad. We had a pleasant lunch here on the outdoor patio which had ample seating as well as inside. We placed and paid for our orders inside and the servers brought our hamburger, halloumi burger and croque monsieur (all came with fries) to us, to enjoy as we people watched.

Awesome food and very friendly staff. The Burger was one of the best I‘ve had in years.

Swedish meatballs are tasty. You have to order at the counter and the staff will bring it to your table. Bouillabesse (fish soup) was too hot and spicy. However, the cakes were delicious when consumed with black hot tea 🍵. Recommended.

Fantastic lunch spot in Sigtuna! The restaurant offered well-spaced dining tables inside as well as outdoor seating on two sides of the restaurant. And the staff members were a delight; giving recommendations on the menu when learning of a dietary allergy and checking up on us after we had started our meal.

Great lunch place in the heart of Sigtuna. Big portions including coffee and dessert.

Nice bistro on the main street with good service and food! (-1 star for a hair in my dish)

We had the meatballs with potato puree and a caeser salad and it was absolutely exquisite, I genuinely don't think it could've been any better. One of the nicest meals we have ever had. 10/10. Our server spoke good English and was very friendly.

A great place! Cozy interior and very nice staff! We had the two options of plat du jour and it was really good!

Total rip off / tourist trap. No prices on anything and then everything is so much more expensive than you’d think possible. My friend was charged 279 kr for a tea and a sandwich. Luckily she has no issues standing up for herself and questioned it, after which she returned the sandwich. They still tried to charge her 97kr for the tea, which she asked a refund for as well, after which they charged her the still unreasonable 47kr. All the food looks delicious but it’s really a bit of a trap. I could see so many people being shocked at the prices (swedes too) when getting to the till, so this is not normal.

We had a great experience with Andre. He instantly could tell we were American and helped us pick the best meal that was the most authentic to the Swedish culture. He made sure to check on us after delivering our meal, to see if everything was up to par. It was an incredible place to start our trip, and we will for sure be back.

I ate here as part of an excursion from the cruise ship. They had everything ready. Nice little salad, pasta salad, and bread which was good. Then the swedish meatballs and then some cake after. It had a good atmosphere and the food was very good. Nice location, and inside it looks neat i think it's an old bank or something. Wait staff was helpful.

I have been eating food in many countries and cousin’s. Here in sigtuna was everything highest class and excellent service and the flavours were well balanced by a true chef of heart. Thank you for this experience!

Cosmopolitan feel in this coffee and cake cafe. We'll situated in the old town and easy for the ferries

This cafe was jam packed with people and tables, we could barely walk through to get to our table. The door was left open, so we were freezing the entire lunch. I waited 25 minutes to use the bathroom, and then when we were done eating, the waiter asked if we could leave as they needed our table for new customers. The vegetarian burger was really good, but the overall vibe and waiting for the restroom was just horrible. I will never go there again!

Great service! Not a lot of vegetarian options - but the vegetarian burger is excellent

Nice place with friendly staff. The food is really good. We tried meat ball and spaghetti with shrimps. Meat ball was delicious, especially the sauces. It was our best meat ball in Sweden . Spaghetti with shrimps is tasty but not special. The staff was very kind and treated us nicely. In General it was a nice experience to visit Sigtuna (oldest town in Sweden?) and enjoyed our dinner at a small location.

Nice restaurant, looks clean. It’s suitable for families with small kids too. We tried the burger and salad from the salad bar. The burger was very good, but the salad was not good, I don’t recommend it!

Visiting Sigtuna for the day, was a bit worried about finding a vegan option. Messaged Cafe Valvet the day before and they offered to put together a special vegan burger for us (as well as access to the salad bar) and it was absolutely delicious. Staff were incredibly thorough in letting us know what was the in the burger and how they had cooked it. So appreciative of their thoughtfulness and would definitely recommend other vegans or those with dietary requirements come here!

Excellent ‘Toast Skagen’, an elegant combination of prawns and other ingredients on a small piece of sautéed bread. They didn’t have it on the menu, but on request, served us with one of the best versions I’ve eaten. Thank you!

Nice cafe located on Sigtuna’s historic main street. Good coffee and outdoor dining options make this a great spot for a fika. Be warned, though, there are a lot of flies about in summer so you may wish to sit inside!

Tried 4 dishes of homemade pasta. The pasta are very elasticity but a bit salty for me.

Good service & child friendly. The waiter found out it was my bday and gave us free ice cream!

We visited Valvet for Mother's Day dinner. In addition to being so lucky with the weather, we were greeted by a very nice waitress, who gave us an outside table, where we could enjoy nice drinks, very tasty food and one of the first beautiful summer days. All in all it turned out to be a very good choice of restaurant to celebrate my wonderful wife and mother to our equally wonderful daughters. I can recommend this place!

Tasty and good food, nice ambience. A cozy place to have lunch or just sit having fika

(had a lunch here) The staff is very friendly and ready to help you. The menus are in both English and Swedish, and quite extended. The Swedish meatballs (Kötbullar) were decent but sadly not as great as we hoped for. The prices are what you could expect for a semi-touristic place.

Simply a perfect lunch! Classic meatballs (for the whole family) with salad, coffee and dessert included. Lovely atmosphere and caring staff.
