Modern design museum. The museum aims to inform future generations about what happened on Jul., 15 through digital methods. Through video installations, photos and the personal belongings of coup victims, the museum tells the stories of the coup attempt, which was the work of military infiltrators.

(Translated by Google) The museum, which was built on 1500 square meters in two floors, has the words "Don't Forget" on the wall at the ground entrance and the names of the 15 July martyrs and white doves hanging from the ceiling to represent them. July 15 videos and documentaries are shown on the giant screen at the entrance of the museum. The items used by our citizens who became martyrs and became veterans on the night of July 15 are also exhibited here. Among the exhibited items; The beret and dagger of Petty Officer Ömer Halisdemir, who changed the course of the coup by shooting the putschist brigadier Semih Terzi, the mobile phone belonging to Hande Fırat, on which President Erdoğan made a call to the nation on television, the motorcycle helmet of Gazi Bilal Özyıldırım, which was hit by a bullet, Gazi Abdullah Çay There are bulletproof keys belonging to . The section that attracted my attention and impressed me the most in the museum was the section where information about the coups in our country and the world and the history of colonialism were included. Sergilenen eşyalar arasında; darbeci tuğgeneral Semih Terzi’yi vurarak darbenin seyrini değiştiren Astsubay Ömer Halisdemir’in beresi ve kaması, Cumhurbaşkanı Erdoğan’ın televizyonda millete çağrı yaptığı Hande Fırat’a ait cep telefonu, Gazi Bilal Özyıldırım’a ait kurşun isabet etmiş motosiklet kaskı, Gazi Abdullah Çay’a ait kurşun isabet etmiş anahtar, Şehit Necmi Bahadır’a ait kurşun isabet etmiş cüzdan ve fotoğraf, Gazi İdris Akdoğan’a ait kurşun isabet etmiş telefon, darbecilerin kullandığı tankın ezdiği otomobil ve üst katta zarar gören motosiklet ve şehitlerin ayakkabıları yer alıyor. Müze’de en çok dikkatimi çeken ve beni en çok etkileyen bölüm ülkemizde ve dünyada yapılan darbeler ve sömürgecilik tarihine dair bilgilerin yer aldığı bölüm oldu

May God never let us experience those days again. It would be enough to go and visit, remember our 253 martyrs and have the opportunity to recite Fatiha. It is a museum enriched with simulations, videos and cinevision shows. The belongings of our martyrs and veterans of that day are exhibited. Closed on Mondays. It is open to visitors on other days. Entry is free. There is parking but it can be busy on weekends. You can easily reach the metrobus by getting off at the 15 July Martyrs Bridge stop.

15 JULY MUSEUM A place engraved in memories A very impressive museum displaying what the Coup Attempt cost our Nation. It was built in memory of our official and civil cities, but it has also become a very important museum place from which we should draw a lesson. Wonderful Impressive visuals touch people's souls. Our national feelings are rising. We are such a nation, a heroic nation that stands against the enemies and stands as a shield without thinking about our lives for the sake of our homeland, flag and land under all circumstances. Heaven is the place of our martyrs, and I wish patience and strength to those who remain. May the soul of our Hero Soldier Ömer Halisdemir rest in peace. How happy is the one who says I am a Turk!.

Very nicely designed and brings the story across very closely. Unfortunately, the videos are not in English, there are no subtitles in English and most of the posters are not in English either. Very unfortunate. So please translate the texts into other languages!

The July 15 Memory Museum was built as a symbol of Turkey's epic struggle against the July 15, 2016 coup attempt. The museum opened its doors to visitors in 2019 and remains a symbol of democracy in Türkiye. The museum is located at the end of Anatolia on the July 15 Martyrs Bridge in Istanbul. There are many exhibition halls, which contain art and cinematic exhibitions, as well as visual and material memories that enhance the memory of the martyrs and criminalize coups.
