Not well maintained & over crowded beach . People were littering the nearby area carelessly & no authorities were there to control. Suvali is far better beach than Dandi. Need much more awareness in people for cleanliness in public places .

One of the Best and Clean Beach 🏖️ near to Surat, Navsari. Early morning is the best place for relaxation. Very neat and clean Beach 🏖️. Well maintained by government of Dandi. There is also a very beautiful nature of road 🛣️ between Navsari to Dandi Beach. You can must visit once in your life. There are some Tea and Coffee stalls, Makai bhel, Meggie and Coconut 🥥 Water stalls available here.

Nice place where it will be fun to visit if you reach early in the morning. And there is also a famous place for the Salt Satyagraha of Mahatma Gandhi, so you can also see the museum related to Gandhiji here. Along with this, you can also visit the Samarpan Ashram here, which will be found between Dandi Beach and Museum. One special thing here is that you will get entry only in full Indian dress, otherwise you may have to stay outside. thanks

Dandi beach is historical location, famous for dandi March by none other than the great Mahatma Gandhi The Salt Satyagraha against tax on salt was initiated by Gandhi ji from dandi Historical moments are captured in a musium, place has beautiful lake and equally beautiful solar panels Also statues of 80 satyagrahis, chosen by Gandhi ji himself are added attraction Dandi beach is added attraction, beach is neat and clean, with facility like byke riding People from nearby places throng this place, especially on public holidays and weekends

Although the sand is black, the beach and the surroundings are very clean. The water is also quite clean, so one can definitely go for a swim here. There is not much of a slope, so you can venture a long way inside the water. The sunset is quite nice. Quite a few policemen are around and a there is watch tower near the beach entrance used by the police for surveillance. There is a small garden near the beach, but it is in shambles, no point going there. Ample Parking area is available and there are many small shops selling tea, coffee, and some local snacks. Toilets are available but are extremely dirty as is the case with most tourist places in India

Absolute awesome and delightful experience I had here. The waves of sea and cold wind blowing was just making feel happy and joyful. This is the best place to hangout with kids and family. We also can bath in the sea but have to be very careful about the sea waves and also biking can be done camel ride is available here, horse riding is available here. Very nice place really.

Dandi Beach is one of the prominent beaches located in Dandi village, Gujarat. Dandi beach is one of the cleanest beaches in the Arabian Sea. Dandi Beach is historically prominent as Mahatma Gandhi led the salt sathyagraha from Sabarmati Ashram (Ahmedabad) to Dandi. This is the beach where Mahatma Gandhi broke the salt tax law of the British after the Salt March.

Dandi Beach is usually quite on weekdays and busy over weekends so if you’re looking for quite time must visit around weekdays, there are some quad bike riding , house riding available during summer & winter period, Dandi beach is not safe to swim & surfing. Normally there are life guards around . If you want a sunset view or lay down on beach its a spot !

Historical place, Dandi smarak very creatively planed and you feel you Dandi March live, route map, audio, vidio, statue and lights your history revive, Solar panels are nice designed and eco friendly system most of electricity generates here. Very highlight this small place by this smarak. Tourist attraction also for beach , water quality poor but you enjoy here. Gujarati's favorite breakfast you find here.

Dandi Beach, located in Navsari, Gujarat, is a historical and scenic spot that offers a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural significance1. The beach is known for its connection to India’s freedom struggle, as it was here that Mahatma Gandhi led the iconic Dandi March in 1930. Today, visitors can explore the well-maintained museum and the old Saifi Bungalow where Gandhiji stayed, offering a glimpse into the past. In terms of natural allure, Dandi Beach is a pleasant place to spend a day with family or friends1. While the water may not be as blue (due to black soil) as the beaches in Southern India, it’s still a decent place to relax and enjoy the coastal views1. The beach is also conveniently close to Navsari town, making it easily accessible for locals and tourists alike. However, it’s worth noting that the beach might not meet everyone’s expectations. Some visitors have compared it unfavorably to Dumas Beach in Surat1. Despite this, Dandi Beach’s historical significance and tranquil setting make it a must-visit destination in Gujarat. Overall, it’s an excellent place to remember India’s freedom fight and enjoy a peaceful day by the sea.

It is good place... maintained well with proper security.... good place to spend time.... but the saddest part is: it is full of Dirt... unclean water... waves are not so fresh.... it brings out the dirty mud... sand on the shore is of black in color.... don't know the reason behind it.... is it 'coz of humans brainless activity or is the nature??? Whom to blame??? ??? Seriously the freshness is missing....

Been coming here since I was 3yrs old. I/we always come back here when visiting India. A heritage site which had certainly been cleaned up. The new Ghandhi memorial is well worth a visit. Perfect place for a switch off. We walked for miles without seeing a single person. The only downside. The water is not clear and quite polluted. Would not recommend a bathe/swim. Washrooms are non existent/limited at the beach.

Considering Gujarat & it's beaches the Dandi beach is clean one of them, it's safe. Yes the sea water is not so clean. Also there is no other facilities or enjoyment like boating, riding, paragliding, rest chairs. But there is no extra cost except 10 Rs. cleaning charge for each vehicle & your vehicle's parking charge.

A nice place to be on weekends. Can enjoy the beach with family. The beach is comparatively clean compared to others. There is a facility of proper restrooms and changing rooms. Local cuisines and soft drinks are available at the beach site. There is a shaded place, where you can sit with your group and enjoy the nature. That's a good place to have lunch or rest in srcoching heat! The place also has memorials of Gandhi ji and other memories.

visited Dandi last Month. This has got to be one of the best improvement to help people to remember the importance of the country's history. The whole area has been completely made and the old museum restored. I was also impressed by the great use of solar pamels and the environmental consciousness of the project. Well worth a visit. p.s. we did not have any trouble with ticket office. The people were very friendly and informative. Dandi Beach in India is a serene coastal stretch located in the state of Gujarat. With its expansive shoreline along the Arabian Sea, the beach offers black & brown sands against the backdrop of a tranquil sea. Dandi holds historical significance as the site where Mahatma Gandhi led the Salt March in 1930, a pivotal moment in India's fight for independence. Visitors can appreciate the scenic beauty, engage in water activities, and explore the memorial dedicated to the Salt March, all while enjoying the sun & waves and sea water on this historically rich beach. The bustling scene encompasses a plethora of recreational options, including Trampoline for kids, horse & camel excursions, and bike/buggy rides. However, the introduction of horse and camel riding businesses on the beach has resulted in an undesirable accumulation of dung and filth along the shore.
