Dr. V. Kurien's Museum was inaugurated on 26th November 2000 to mark the 80th birthday of Dr Verghese Kurien, the man who revolutionised the concept for milk producers all throughout India. He is also known as ‘Father of the White Revolution’ and ‘Milkman of India’. His birthday, 26th November, is celebrated as Milk Day in India. He initiated ‘Operation Flood’ on 13th January 1970, which made India the largest producer of milk in the world.

A tribute to the great man who made White revolution possible and in my opinion the key force over decades to catapult India to the number one spot in the world for milk production. There are displays and there is a conducted tour by well informed employees of Amul. Then we have a conducted tour of the dairy. I was disappointed with this. A tour through a facility such as this one can be made a transformative and immersive experience for young and old, informed and keen to learn. Dedicated galleries with a more clearer view of the distinct process and a feel of the activity happening is essential to creat an imprint. This was missing. Given the importance assigned to Customer as an equal stake holder by Amul, I expect that they do the tour differently to make the experience remain long in the minds of the visitors.

I used to go there in my childhood. I don't know anything about automation. On that time this is only place for me to see everything automatic.. It is very exiting for us to visit this place and we used to visit with also our guests. Well things are changed now but this place has so many memories which never let anyone forget. Visit once in a life You also will explore a great experience.
