Visited Jungle Safari at Statue of Unity. One of the best Zoom or you can call it a Jungle because they have given each animal huge space and they are not kept in any cage. It is a proper area specially designed for each animal. You will find number of species of birds, and land animal here. They even have a special section for birds where there is a huge cage build and we need to go in the cage and all the birds are free there to fly. The most special part they have a very good electric bus which carry you from one point in Jungle Safari to another point. It is so so so so huge. And not to forget special zone or section for African and Australian animals and birds. In all the best Zoo in India till now. Must visit place.

Though called a safari, it’s basically a zoo but you would be ferried around in golf cart. It has lots of wild animals like white tiger, lion and they are provided a huge enclosure which is really good, almost like their natural habitat. The bird house is really awesome where the birds are kept in a huge enclosure and they are flying all around you, it’s as if you are in a jungle - similar to what you see in Ramoji Film City. This zoo also has various kinds of deers and they are kept without any cage or enclosure. It’s as if you are spotting them in their natural habitat. Defiantly worth visiting this place.

Very beautiful zoo. Please carry your water as you hardly get lucky to have cold water in hot weather due to visitor's rush. Please make sure not to litter. Zoo is clean and well managed. They provide electric cars and traveller's to show you around the zoo. The shops there stop serving food and water post 6 o'clock in evening. Washrooms are not clean. You can buy tickets online to avoid ticket lines and wait.

Decent trip, even though it was hot in Feb. While it's a little sad to see animals caged up in small area, it is still quite a trip. The park is planned well, facilities like washrooms, water, food are decent. They have buggies for transport, it's quite big inside. It's still not fully ready with all the animals including a snake park. Should still be worth half a day here though.

Simply wonderful. What a concept..to be able to see so many bird species not in cages but in huge enclosed spaces where they can live as close as is possible to natural surroundings, no wings are clipped. the birds can be seen flying all over the place just as would do otherwise...... Over a period even these exotic birds have become friendly and happily pose for shutterbugs.i simply loved the place

Zoological park at SOU is nice place to visit. Many rare animals, birds, snakes are available. Very good collection. It's situated in very large area. Electric vehicles are available for movement from one zone to another. Electric vehicle Drivers need training how to behave with guests. Their attitude is of another level. Over all very good experience if it's of your interest. Need about 3 hours , if you want to cover all zones.

A beautiful zoo to visit to all people especially kids.Sardar Patel Zoological Park covers 375 acres at seven different levels ranging from an altitude or elevation of 29 m to 180 m on the right bank of the Narmada River. The park is home to more than 186 species of fauna, covering various biogeographic regions of the world including Africa, Australia, Asia, and America. The main focus of the park is to provide education on the rich biodiversity of our planet, as well as a recreational place for all. One can spot India's endangered species, which includes the magnificent big cats such as Asiatic Lion, Royal Bengal Tiger, Black Panther, and Leopard here. The zoo is also home to 12 species of deer, antelopes, giraffes, zebras, rhinos, bison, wildebeest, onyx, as well as other exotic animals including alpacas, llamas, a wallaby, and a baby hippo!

If you are having kids and stamina to walk you should definitely see this. Total time maximum 2-3Hours. Ticket to be booked or collected from counter before 5pm.

The plays are good only for child and mostly you won't be able to see tigers Jaguar and cheetah maybe they r hiding and the best thing is there is travel available within ur ticket for free. But it's still a lot to walk best to be prepared with water. N never book tickets in advanced.

The Sardar Patel Zoological Park, is a sprawling beautifully designed park, on the banks of the river Narmada. The terrain is hilly & the area of the park is quite large, about 300 acres according to someone I spoke to. The enclosures are well designed, and spread around 7 levels. The park has carnivores and herbivores, & beautiful Aviary.

  • 3/5 chirag h. 5 months ago on Google
You can skip this if you are staying a day extra . No need for that. It's spread across a huge area. Only best thing it has its aviary. You can see birds, swans and many more moving above or nearby you. Rest is all normal

Visited this place during our visit of Statue Of Unity. This attraction is created like other attractions around so that people can spend a day there. This park takes around 2nhrs to complete the visit. Busses are there inside the park to take us from 9ne place to another. It was my first experience seeing Giraffe, Alpaca, Llama. Which I never saw in Raj8v Gandhi National Park, Pune. Please see the weather forecast before paying a visit. In the month of Oct 2023, when I visit. Temperature was 34 degrees and sunny. It feels like 42 degrees 😩 and makes it very difficult to roam around due to hot and humid environment.

One of the best attractions at the Statue of Unity. A very nice planning has been done for developing this Jungle Safari Zoological park. Lots of types of animals, birds can be seen here which are kept in a very spacious comfortable environment. One can very easily observe the animal. Electric vehicles are provided for transit. Food mall is also available in the area.

Nice place but better to visit in winters. You can have the carnivores out of their den to have a glimpse easily. Works are still going on. Golf carts are available but before boarding it, have a look at the reptile section as the carts do not stop there. The aviary is good with lot of birds in close proximity.

Fantastic destination for nature enthusiasts. Unlike city zoos, here the enclosures are very large for wild animals. The park as such is still in development so some exhibits are currently empty.

Enjoyed the wild life and bird watching. The birds are free inside the big cage you can see them very closely some times they came and sit on your palm also. When we visited the white tiger and some more animals were not there, they mentioned to be coming soon. Children enjoyed it and overall it was nice experience. Everyone loved the birds area.

Sardar Patel Zoological Park is very close to the statue of Unity, and has a Pet Zone right opposite of it. After viewing the statue, take a bus for Gate Number 4 and you will reach the zoological park. It is a small zoo with an aviary and reptile zoo. The animal spotting is very easy, and they also provide complementary safari in Battery cars which drop you from one spot to another. At most a time of 2-hour is sufficient to cover the whole park. I would recommend visiting given the low price of the ticket. (200rs)

If you have enough time to kill after visiting SOU then you can visit the zoo which offers you a wide range of animals and birds. The entry ticket is 200₹ and to explore the Zoo you must have strong legs as most of the parts you have to cover on feet. The battery vehicle is available for some of the parts. I went to the zoo especially to see a giraffe but he died two days before that day. Many animals like Tiger, white tiger, leopard, lion, black panther, hippopotamus, etc are in the zoo.

Jungle safari tour (₹200) at the Sardar Zoological Park is a must do activity at the complex. They accept only card payments though. DSLR cam is charged extra. The queue for the golf cart is quite long but fast moving. It takes you to spots which are a little too far to walk. The Exotic birds’ enclosure is the attraction to look out for. The entire tour around the park can take close to 2 hrs. The park is a zoo but gives the impression of being a safari. Tip: It can get quite sunny. So make sure you have enough protection.

Astonishing open view jungle safari park. You can enjoy the company of various animals freely. There are number of pick up and drop points inside the park. You can easily commute from one point to another with help of electric buses. Black jaguar and white bengal tiger are the cherry on pie. Also drinking water facility is available at every point so no need to carry extra baggage.

  • 4/5 RAVI T. 2 years ago on Google
Be very sure to book tickets online before going. You might end up going and finding out tickets sold out for activities. A bit crowded. The safari is a good place for kids. Although you need to walk a lot. There are bus services that take you for a safari round trip but it there's a big queue for that. Its a bit different than actual safari. More like zoo not safari. You need to park your car far and then the buses take you to each activities.

Zoological park is like an extended version of zoo. It is managed properly and lots of wild animals can be seen. It's a good visit for couple of hours. People can either explore the place by bus, electric van or on foot. Some areas are still under development which will expand the area once ready.

It is best to cover the 'Jungle Safari ' activity of SoU during morning hours (if you visiting in summers). It definitely worthwhile. There are many species here, and the wildlife is very rich. You might get exhausted if you visit the Zoo after 11 am, as it really starts to get hot, and becomes unbearable.

One can Plan a visit either early morning between 08:00 to 10:00 or after 4:30pm. Bus service is good and frequent. Bird dome is main attraction. Wear shoes all time, as one one to walk a lot. Carry sufficient water. Use sun creme to protect from getting tan.

  • 4/5 Simply S. 2 years ago on Google
Please don't visit in the noon as the sun was so scorching.. Also Old age people may find it bit difficult as there is bit walk involved.. The Birds section is simply amazing..

Name: this is a zoo and not a Safari Location: the layout makes it very inconvenient to cover on foot but they have electric cars to make up for it. The enclosures are spacious. There is a good variety of animals

The place has recently developed Very near to Statue of Unity. Very nice experience with this. All types of animals are there in zoo. Due to new glass door cage you can see all wild animals from very close. Its amazing experience. Try to visit the place early in the morning as that time all animals are active & refreshed... After sometime they gets bored & went to the corner. So its better to visit early.

  • 5/5 Paresh J. 2 years ago on Google
Best place to visit. Tourist spots in Gujarat getting international standard. People are requested that most of the zoological park is to be explored by walking, they should take proper precautions from Sun heat. Children should be properly hydrated. Try to book early morning or late evening timing slots. Children will love the place.

A well developed place, really amazing animals kept here are also wonderful. Un fortunately As all people came here to see the white tiger, and lion but was not able to see due to the very hot temperature they were in their home hiding. Zoo is very big so they provide golf cars to travel which is really good. This place is must visit place but only once.

Kevadia zoological park is situated near statue of unity. It was structured in such a way that it attracts every one. You have to give one whole day to visit all places nearby. It is one of the world heritage site. Best time to visit is November as it is too hot to visit in summer.

  • 5/5 SARTHAK S. 1 year ago on Google
The photos I've shared are just a glimpse of what is to be seen. This is an amazing place. The best to see is Indian Aviary if you can walk get down from bus and watch the Aviary it's a must watch.

  • 4/5 Suneer a. 9 months ago on Google
Site is good, you have number of places inside to visit. Except statue of unity, you may get exhausted by roaming around. Not that much animals in jungle safari and cost is high per head 750, in this package you will get the chance to visit the dam, statue of unity and jungle park. For other spots have to pay extra amount each. Many people are visiting here, the govt can recover the total amount they invested within 10 years with profit.
