Beautiful beach resort, Hidden gem! We spent 4D/3N at the Sai Vishram Beach Resort with the entire family. It is a beautiful place to spend quality time with your loved ones. The hospitality at the place is beyond words, the care and love shown to us was amazing. The food is excellent and prepared with lot of love. A very healthy lifestyle over the few days we stayed there. The private beach is calm and serene, allowing you to enjoy every moment in it without any fear. The water sport activities are also an added attraction. The spa is quiet and tidy with an excellent service! The AC tent we stayed at is really close to the beach and dining hall, allowing for minimal walking around in case you are travelling with members who cannot walk too much. Overall, my recommendation: 15/10. Definitely worth every buck. We will visit again to separate from the rat race of life.

This is my third visit here. We were 14 of us and 4 families this time and everything was beautifully managed by the team here. Food is functional and fresh, rooms are spacious and well thought thru and best part of the resort is its private beach and ability to enjoy the sea water/waves without any fear. We also got opportunity to witness live Yakshagana which added more color and excitement to the stay. I will probably keep going back here. Only reason I am cutting one star is because of the trouble caused by the resort appointed transport co-ordinator who caused unnecessary hassle for some local trip we planned and also drop and pickup from station. Other than that all of us remember this trip and stay for sometime to come.

The only popular resort which offers offer pure veg food with strict prohibition to Alcohol and smoking. Detail review The booking and enquiry was very smooth. Thanks Raghavendra for that. The resort team was on touch enquiring about the checkin time to keep the room and good ready. Supported with Jain food for one or two dishes like curreyor Chutney (if requested specifically) Food Variety: quite good. Typical buffet food with a mix of Roti, Dal, Rice and rasam. Ice cream and fresh fruits available. Breakfast will have two to three options like dosa, Idli, Poha etc. Rooms : neat and clean The rest rooms are very artistic in nature and build to look nature friendly. Beach services : the evening snacks is supplied at the beach . Water sports : they have good mix of sports like Jetskying , cruise drive, Banana ride etc. The beach is very clean and neat. Well maintained. Water safety : safety is of utmost importance, they will give you life jackets even to play on shore , always life guards are available for any support. The tents are the best accommodation for to choose. It is close to Dining hall and beach. Very safe for for family Staff : 7 star, very friendly helpful . They try to cater to the needs as much as possible. Cons 1. No WiFi or phone inside the rooms , they tell this before but I felt resort can consider to provide wifi connection as the mobile network is also very poor. This is needed to keep you connected especially any emergency. 2. Felt The cost is little expensive for the services (But still worth it if you want pure veg with such ambience which is safe for family). 4 star for cost.

We recently visited this place for our daughter's birthday and were mesmerised by its serenity. The beach is clean and beautiful, dotted with colourful pebbles. The place is vegetarian and alcohol free, we missed neither. Morning sunrise trek offers a stunning view. Since the management has planted a lot of trees within the property, the tents remain cool despite the location. Staff also went out of their way to make our kiddos birthday special by organising a small cake cutting session on the beach. Go for it... You'll love this place!

We traveled here for a family getaway and stayed here for a couple nights. Our stay here was great! The rooms were large and the beds were quite comfortable. The best part of the stay was the access to the beach. The beach is pristine and the access is pretty much private, so you basically have the beach to yourselves! The water is shallow for a good distance and is pretty safe for a swim. Life jackets are provided and the staff is always on the look out for guests safety. They also offer water sports activities as well. The food options were great too for all the meals. They have a pool table, carrom board, chess, and a table tennis table as well. They also conduct art classes and sand art to keep the kids occupied which is great too! The room prices are a bit on the higher side though, but then we did visit on the first week of the new year which probably is a peak season.

This was our second visit to Sai Vishram Beach Resort. If you are okay with their no-alcohol, pure-veg policy, this is a great stay. The beach is literally a private one. The premises are a mini forest. The staff is very friendly. The food is tasty, with a great spread. They are currently converting many of their tents to modern cottages, which is both good and bad! However, the rates are increasing year on year, and to an extent getting out of the "worth the extra money" range. Pay a visit before they move out of your budget :)

We visited Sai Vishram during the December school vacation season (25 - 28 Dec 2021). We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Many Good Things - Friendly Staff: always there for the guests, always put on a smile, always ready to help, Cleanliness: Clean Rooms, Very very well maintained Beach, Lifeguards at the Beach: They are always there for the guests, very helpful, the water sports at the Beach is also interesting. If you like South Indian Vegetarian Food and also the favours of South Canara, the food will not disappoint you. Summary - We enjoyed our stay, my Sons had a lot of fun and will not hesitate to visit again.

Property is completely in isolation and beautiful location. Prices you will be paying is for location not for room as rooms are of 3 star category. You will get inhouse activities which makes you to spend quality time with your family. Don't expect 5 star facilities seeing the prices but staff will give their heart out to ensure they service you to the best. Worth to stay for 1 day and enjoy as many activities as possible. Kids friendly resort too. For elders it might be bit cumbersome due to frequent climbing to get to rooms from dining. No TV in room.

Sai Vishram stands out for many reasons, the obvious ones being a pure vegetarian, non alcoholic property... But once we enter there, what stands out is the exceptional service provided by the staff there... From excellent food to impeccable effort to make the stay as comfortable as possible and unlimited meaningful conversations and a never ending smile on their faces while serving the guests... The property feels a little secluded on a rainy night if the choice of room is a deluxe suite but no other complains whatsoever. The presence of lifeguards is a plus point... They are always present to take us on rides or simply hold her hands while we experience the sea in its depth ❤

A great resort. Pet friendly. We stayed in the cottage and it was so spacious and clean. We enjoyed their pure vegetarian home style meals. The beach is very well maintained and the path to the beach is so beautiful. Surrounded by coconut trees and other greenery, it is definitely a place to be with children and older people too. The staff are very courteous and polite. A special mention to Raghavendra and his team.

Clean beach, good food and most of all amazing hospitality! All the staff were friendly, cheerful and extremely helpful. My kid fell sick for a night and the staff brought medicines for her from the nearby town. She recovered quickly and enjoyed during the rest of the stay. There were drawing classes and sand art classes to keep the guests engaged. We also tried jet ski and water sports. The lifeguards were friendly and accompanied my daughter for a dip in the water. Evening tea is served at the beach while we watched the sunset, which was amazing! Rooms closer to the beach are a must have. The deluxe rooms are far away and is inconvenient for the elderly and couples with kids. Overall a great place to unwind and be close to nature!

Highly recommend to the families who prefer a perfect quiet beach getaway...

A repeat visit by us to Sai Vishram, and I can say it continues to be one of the best beach resorts in the country. Pristine almost private beach, close to a hillock on the other side and plenty of nearby attractions. The food is amazing with good varieties every day. If you happen to visit post monsoon, like we did you can also enjoy amazing water-sports activities under the supervision of their well-trained lifeguards. All in all, if you are looking for a wholesome vacation with family, friends and kids, this is an ideal place to go.

If you are looking for a quiet time with family, then this is a fantastic place for you.. Located in an idyllic place flanked by woods on one side and the sea on the other, this place is surely going to lift up your spirits.. The rooms offer an amazing view of the sea. The staff is friendly, courteous and quick in service. The food spread was amazing with a variety of dishes for breakfast lunch and dinner.. Jain option is also available. We enjoyed our stay immensely. The beach is clean and since it is a private one, felt good not to have seen any empty bottles of liquor. Good for families looking for a tranquil time..

This one will be in my top recommendation if one is looking for pure veg family oriented resorts. Just back from a day’s vacation, we were group of 10 packs and it has been a memorable experience with them. Top notch staff with top quality food. I have seen few mentioned about less options in food. But IMO, for the veg , varieties offered are extensive and they taste excellent. Cottages were well cleaned and quite spacious. Water sports activities are slightly expensive but crew manning this are good. Overall even though it is slightly pricey but for what they had to offer is well worth the money they charge.

Sai Vishram is a beach resort situated near Kundapur. It is a magnificent property. It is a vegetarian resort and alcohol is not allowed. The staffs are courteous. Rooms: We had stayed in a villa facing the beach. The rooms were average. The concerned for us was that there were too many giant lizards in the toilets in both the rooms. For some urban travellers, the lizards are scary and impossible to share the space with them. Food: Homely vegetarian food was served. We loved the evening coffee and snacks served near the beach. Beach: Beautiful, clean beach. Life guard will be there. There are water sports for the groups who loves water sports. The pet in the resort is well trained lovely pet. We also spotted some peacocks near the breakfast area.

Very nice beach resort for families and couples. It's 40 minutes drive to Murudeshwar Temple and also Mookambika temple. Food: They serve only vegetarian food but it was good. For breakfast they serve 6-7 items. Lunch and dinner was good. They serve tea/coffee and snacks at the beach in the evening time. Rooms: Tents are near the beach and dining area. Other cottages are little far(350 m) but if you have a vehicle, you can park car near your cottage and can come to the beach and dining area by car. Activities: They have watersports activities but it depends on weather conditions, if the sea is rough they wouldn't operate. And morning nature walks uphill (100 steps). Beautiful view point of beach from top. Overall a very nice place to stay for families and couples. Definitely recommended. Visited: June, 2023

Very rarely does one get a family resort without alcohol and pure vegetarian on the coastline. This resort is a gem. Amazing location, cordial staff and great food. Please note that one must be ready to walk with some elevation in case you opt for any non-tent accommodations. The beach was rough but in the peak season, it would be better I guess. They also organise painting sessions for the guests, nature walk to Ottinene view point and water sports during the right seasons. We were here for two days and the food was great in each and every meal. There was ice cream served as well. The highlight to me was the dosas for breakfast, subzi for lunch and dinner and their rasam. The rooms are spacious and are air conditioned. Very clean and comfortable.

One of the best holidays in recent times. This was an unplanned trip and i was lucky to get a booking in the peak holiday/year end season, considering my booking was 1 day before i reached there. Booking experience was wonderful. This is 'THE" place for people looking for a no-alcohol & pure veg property on the beach. Sai Vishram is a premium property and price might seem to be on the high side, but in my opinion it is completely worth as the guests are treated so well. The staff across all departments like restaurant/kitchen, housekeeping, life-guards are very courteous and make the stay memorable. My only regret is that our stay was for 1 night only and I look forward to being there soon. A place like Sai Vishram needs no review :-), would surely recommend this to anyone looking for a pureveg&no-alcohol beach stay.

Amazing staff, very warm. peaceful location , lovely greenery , decent food . The best part for me was No Nonveg/smoking and alcohol. Hats off for this. Bathroom needs an overhaul. Tight taps, toilet bidets and showers r struggling to send water , no way looks luxurious or fresh (I am fussy about cleanliness , if u r not , it's fine , and I am comparing with Country inn bathrooms ) , the glass wall has full of water stains (not dirty though, it's just that it's a 20 yr old property and looks like they haven't thought of investing for bathroom !), AC noise can be thought about. no juice /anything cold to drink during meals, just few local bottled drinks option solves it (walk for 200 mts and u find a small shop with it ) Beach view is clean and peaceful . Water sports (paid) r good. Great choice for a family. Recommen, the rating is based on the price and the experience u get for the it.

Enjoyed our peaceful stay at Sai Vishram Beach Resort. The hospitality of each staff is superb ( very humble and polite) and they really take care of you. The fact that there were no restrictions for our furry family member, made this place memorable for us. Food is simple but good, our favorite meal was breakfast which had good variety including delicious crisp dosas. Tea and snacks at clean private beach was a good experience. Rooms and bathrooms are big and spacious. Our room was around 400 mts from the beach and dining area, which could be challenging if you have elderly family members esp as they dont have room service. They are building new cottages next to dining area, so that would be good addition for the resort. Mr Raghavendra - thank you for smooth process of booking the stay and taking care of us during our stay. Also big thank you to kitchen staff for always serving food with a smile on their face. They really took care of our food requirements.

Superb Resort with private beach. Beach is very well maintained with trained staff for water sports. I liked the concept of Pure vegetarian & Non-Alcoholic but Pet Friendly. We visited this little piece of heaven during the last week of December. Excellent hospitality by Mr.Raghavendra and his staff. Wide variety of vegetarian food spread. Kids had a great time with all the outdoor activities. Really like the fact that every small detail in making the guest feel good is thought of - 1. Making the guests wear life jackets while getting into the open waters( life jackets were very well maintained, they even had toddler sizes unlike many other upscale places) 2. Beach side refreshments like fresh fruit juice at 11am once the guests get out of the waters 3. interesting activities like sand art, painting classes, along with the outdoor activities 4. Unlimited icecreams which was an icing on the cake for both kids and adults 5. Housekeeping voluntered to clean our car before checking out which was such a great gesture from them Many many more such big and small things made us feel safe and special.. Only negative thing that I found personally here were the lizards and frogs in the bathroom ( we stayed in the AC tent which had open bathroom).. If only you could control that in some way 😅 Definitely coming back here again with kids and parents..Keep up the excellent work.

Excellent hospitality. Private beach is awesome with excellent life guards always nearby to help you out. Most importantly, pet friendly. Severe drawback, no internet/mobile network except in the Reception Office Room. Pure vegetarian, no alcohol and smoking. Awesome food. Visited for the fourth time.

The stay was bliss. Location is the protagonist here. Hospitality by the staff is marvelous. Food is scrumptious. However, felt the price is little towards the higher side. May be my expectation was rocket high. Nevertheless, if you are ok with the price; Location, Hospitality and the Food shall take you to a serene experience.

3rd time visiting it. Great experience as usual. But compared to last 2 times, the cultural programmes in the evening was less. So giving 1 star lower. Also, would like to have some vegan options for desserts moving forward. The water sport options were fun but could also be expanded a bit more once covid is past. Overall great experience.

Well maintained beautiful beach resort. Its very spacious and calm place. Only issue I found was a guard or staff member near the beach was rude. Except that everything was great in our stay. Our little girl also enjoyed a lot as there were so many different animals and birds.

Place has run down in last several years and affect of Covid 19 on the business is evident. Needs some maintenance. Yet, the staff is hospitable, polite and helpful. Food is strictly vegetarian and reasonably good. Beach sports facilities are passable. Efficient staff. Manager Raghavendra is very friendly and helpful.

4.7* rating for a reason. Amazing location, its a private beach resort, with pure vegetarian food and no alcohol served here. Hospitality, impressive! Good service, friendly staff, tasty and good quality food. Its a 30 acer property with multiple stay options, from basic standard stay to laxury stay options. Food menu options r not too big but the quality and taste of food is really good.!! Thats what i expect!

A lot of people have already given detailed reviews about everything, me writing something will not add anything new. So i am going to say somethings that I want to highlight. - people saying bad things about the place, grow up. Do some search before booking a place. Their website specifically mentioned what to expect and what not to expect. - one thing that will stand out is their hospitality. All of them were on their toes to make our stay as good as possible. This should happen by default for hospitality industry but more often then not we dont see it. This was something I super liked about this place: it's people. - Food. I am a hard core non-vegeterian guy, and yet I have no regret is saying that their vegetarian food was extremely delicious. I couldn't nitpick even one food item, everything was so good. - i removed one star for the tent that we stayed in. May be it could be modernized a bit. But i believe thats what the charm is. I felt a telephone to at least talk to front desk would have made my stay more comfortable. It didn't have to make outside calls. - the tents are closest to beach and closest to dinning area. The website mentions "panoramic view of sea" which is not exactly what it it. Great location non the less. I didn't get to experience all outdoor activities as it was raining cats and dogs during our stay. I will definitely be back to experience it even better. Final remarks: I can't recommend this resort enough.

  • 5/5 Rakhi R. 1 year ago on Google
Pros: Amazing location, very rustic, completely away from city. I loved the cottage we stayed in, it was very clean, serene, full of greenery and amidst thick jungle! They have private beach which is very neatly maintained, there is staff around assisting kids who are playing in the sand. Cons: Food was above average. I expected local udupi cuisine, healthier and satvic spread. Prices can be reduced a bit so we could've extended the stay. Overall a great place for relaxing holiday.

I loved the Sai Vishram Resort. Lush greens and a soothing ambiance was just right for me. The staff was very friendly, attentive and prompt. When I told them my preferences, they served everything with a smile & adjusted accordingly too. The beach is very clean and with no public interference
