This is a gorgeous monestery, which also marks the beginning of a few hiking trails in the region. You can make a great tour of Kosmaj starting here, then breaking a little sweat to reach the big monument.

Old monastery that has been renewed several times throughout the history. Very peaceful and welcoming. Surrounded with lovely forest, for those that like hiking and nature, highly recommend.

In my opinion the true attraction is the old church from the XIII century. It is a true beauty and the surrounding nature is stunning.

Extraordinary... there is really a tough history background. Monastery has been damaged through ages and almost wiped from the face of the earth. Finally it was rebuild in late 20th century. Remarkable location and peaceful surroundings. Must visit.

This has to be one of the most beautiful churches I have ever been to! It is just amazing! It's history can also be read there, which is one of multiple "rebirths". Inside are not fully painted still, but it is half way done and the finished part is great.
