The monument is located in Żoliborz, near Grunwaldzki Square, on the square on the other side of Popiełuszki Street, between the one-way roads of Aleja Wojska Polskiego. It is also called the "Hallerczycy Monument". It commemorates the Polish American community's participation in Poland regaining its independence, i.e. the provision of 20,000 volunteers from the US and Canada to General Haller's Blue Army. After the fighting ended, approximately 14,500 soldiers returned overseas. The monument was unveiled on August 14, 1998, i.e. on the eve of the 78th anniversary of the "Miracle on the Vistula" and also the Polish Army Day. The authors of the monument were: design - M.Eng. Architect Baltazar Brukalski, executed by Andrzej Pityński from New York

The monument is interesting in its form of a pyramid topped with silhouettes of soldiers of General Haller's army. They can be easily recognized by their characteristic blue uniforms (they were called the "Blue Army") Access is easy, and the monument itself is located next to a park where there are several commemorations of Poles

Perhaps a bit kitschy (supposedly the only colorful monument in the capital), but who didn't play with toy soldiers as a child? This is due to the blue uniforms, which in this case accurately reflect the memory of Haller's "Blue Army" and others. My great-grandfather also returned from across the Great Water when Poland returned to the maps. In the evening it takes on additional charm thanks to well-thought-out backlighting. My son's favorite monument - it also captures the imagination of older people

The monument made a great impression on me, with a different arrangement and dynamics of the figures on each side. The boards contain interesting information about the founders and contractors of the monument.

(Translated by Google) A beautiful monument in a worthy place. It seems as if he is constantly on the move. It is worth stopping by for a moment. (Original) Piękny pomnik w godnym miejscu. Wydaje się jakby był w nieustannym ruchu. Warto się chwile przy nim zatrzymać.

(Translated by Google) Monument donated to the Polish nation by the Association of Veterans of the Polish Army in America and the Polish American community as a thanksgiving for their contribution to the work of regaining independence after 123 years of captivity A pedestal set on a pyramid with soldiers in battle on it. One on horseback, the second with a rifle, and the third with a battle banner symbolize the struggle of a Polish soldier to regain independence. The monument was unveiled in 1998 and then handed over to the city authorities. Soldiers from the states joined General Haller's Army and thus contributed to regaining independence. Six thousand soldiers died in combat, the rest returned to the USA in 1921. The whole is an interesting composition, and there is a convenient square in front of the monument and around it for the celebration of the Polish diaspora. 6 tyś żołnierzy poległo w walce, pozostali wrócili do USA w 1921 r. Całość jest ciekawą kompozycją, a przed pomnikiem i wokół znajduje się dogodny plac do odbywania uroczystości polonijnych.
