👍👍 This place is historic. I used to come here over 20yrs ago with my mum after school for a warm chocolate. Taste is still there. There's usually a line and you need to wait to be seated but it's worth it. People often mention chocolate, service, time, order, minutes, staff, waited, nice, drinks, good,

After waiting more than 40 minutes, the waitress (that doesn’t know how to smile apparently) forgot half of the polish breakfast (the pastrami and pickles). We noticed her once and waited 15 another minutes to get the complete meal The meal was composed of 2 small slices of bread, we asked for more and the waitress told us that she needs to ask to the kitchen. Another 10 minutes waiting, we asked a second time and this time told us it’s a supplement ! 20 minutes later, 6 pieces of bread arrived so we could, finally, end our breakfast What a surprise when the bill arrived : 24 zloties (6euros) for the 6 pieces of bread. I was shocked to be charged that much for such small pieces of bread Such a bad experience, unskilled and unfriendly waitresses

I had some filled crepes and some boozy chocolate drink here and I truly enjoyed it very much, since I was looking to shock my body with some sugar. Everything tastes nice here, but the service could be a bit better. Some of the staff just stood hanging around instead of actually doing some work when it was clear that some tables needed their attention. If you love chocolate this is a place for you.

It's very sad that a 3rd generation icon such as this fails simply because of terrible management. We arrived and waited 45 minutes for a waiter to come to us, in spite of asking staff 3 times for help. When he did come, he told us not to order food as that would take another 45 minutes. So we ordered drinks only. After waiting again more than 20 minutes we made our apologies and left. The staff were all trying really hard, but they clearly didn't know what to do and had no-one to guide them and problem solve. As we left we were told that they were all new! All of them? That's a concern. Now reading the reviews, every single customer both here and at the Freta branch, has made the same comment in the last few weeks. I'm still disappointed to have missed the Wedel experience.

Came for a chocolate experience and it didn't disappoint. Hot chocolate was recommended, so that's what I ordered. I actually went for the taster which was 3 smaller servings of bitter chocolate, white chocolate and semi sweet chocolate. Great experience! The marscapone and cherry crepe was the perfect compliment. We were warned service if often times slow, but not for us. In and out in about 45 mins. Yum!

Waited for 45 minutes for a fresh apple juice to get a juice mixed with water which tasted more like water with a bit of juice in it. When I asked the waitress how much time I need to wait, she said she had no clue - which is neither professional no client -oriented. I didn't enjoy my lunch, though the place itself is gorgeous. Can only recommend it for those people, who have enough spare time to wait before their order arrives.

The place is heavily understaffed to the point that one section of the cafe is not available at all. In the section that is being served there are significant delays. To be clear, this is in no way the fault of the staff that works very hard and efficient, but of the employer who fails to properly plan staffing.

I don't know why people complaining, waiter came right after we sat and took our order in like 5mins and there were a lot of people. We waited in general like 15minutes max. Old look and tasty chocolate cake. All was great ! ✌️

One of the best chocolates I’ve ever had, friendly staff and good interiors.

Horrible service…Even though there are 5-6 empty tables at the time and a queue of 50 people waiting for a table, you will see the waitresses looking at your face, ignoring you and keep doing whatever they want at the pace of a turtle All food and drinks came quite late. Desserts came earlier than drinks. The sernik I tried was just mediocre.

Nice place, but the service was incredibly slow. We waited 40 mins to be given our order, then again a lot of time to pay. The lunch portion was jokingly small. The hot chocolate was great, but overall I am not impressed.

Nice atmosphere, and HUGE menu. This s good and bad because it's hard to choose from and service (I guess because of this) takes ages. Usually, expect to wait 30+ minutes after the order is accepted. A lot of chocolate options obviously, and you can always buy something as a souvenir.

We ordered black spicy chocolate and a chocolate with cream and spirit. Both were delicious! The place is cozy and the staff were kind and professional.

Fast service: 3/5 Friendly service: 4/5 Tasty food: 5/5 Value for money: 5/5 The interior makes you feel you've been transported in time. The menu is extensive from breakfast options (sweet, salty), through various drinks (alcoholic, and non-alcoholic), and dessert.

We came there and waited for a long time to the waiters, and then waited for our drinks too much time (and the restaurant was almost empty so it shouldn’t take time to make us the drinks) the milkshake was nice but not more than that…

disgusting service. our omelet and deserts was cooked for an hour. they forgot about one from the orders. Chocolate is delicious, that's all. I do not recommend visiting unless you have an extra couple of hours.

Stumbled across this original venue by accident. I'd been to another E.Wedel cafe on my visit and the croissant was good there. So food and drink should be consistent. Lovely historical building.

We needed to wait in line for about 30mins, then for our order we waited another 30mins and to pay we also had to wait couple mins because there was only one waitress present in the room. Hot chocolate and white chocolate with alcohol were amazing. A really intense flavour of cocoa. The cheesecake was okay, pancakes were good but nothing special. If i were to visit this place once again, I would order just hot chocolate to go. It's not worth to wait more than 1hr to sit inside even tho the interior is beautiful and vintage.

Nice place to visit in Warsaw! Interesting antique interior, very nice range of (tasty) products, attentious staff. I'm certainly visiting again! They could expand the vegan options though, and give more info on ingredients. Also, I think there could be more people serving the tables (we could have waited less). And the bathroom could be kept cleaner.

There is definitely lack of staff here. On a busy Sunday there is only one girl taking care of +10 large tables. The owner is definitely still on Covid mode apparently, cutting on staff and service. Otherwise the building itself is very nice.

A tourist trap. Terrible service. Shame to the Lonely Planet to recommend it. To anyone who appreciates good service, for a descent price and the overall quality, I would avoid this place like plaque.

Amazing menu full of choices! There is everything you could ask for, hot and cold drinks, desserts and the pralines are just the best! This is the oldest and most famous chocolate manufacturer in the country so I would absolutely recommend a visit if you like sweets!

I had the pleasure of visiting this cafe, which is housed in a beautiful historical building, and it was a delightful experience. The combination of rich, decadent chocolate and the charming ambiance of the historical setting made for a truly memorable visit. The cafe's interior was tastefully designed, showcasing the perfect blend of old-world charm and modern comfort.

First of all I like the place very much. I like the style of decoration and tables and chairs. I love chocolate and I appreciate the possibility to try not big amount of 3 different kinds of chocolate dark - light bitter, milk chocolate and white. Personally I like the milk the best and the bitter one if accompanied with sweet dessert. White one is too sweet for me. My son loved waffles with cream and Carmel sauce. I had meringue and it was too dry so for sure I won't order it next time. Service was good. Sure I'll be back there to try another food from their menu.

A good place for Chocolate lovers, variety of truffles, pralines, salads, Hot and Cold Beverages. Waiting time is around 30-40mins after placing order.

If you hope to feel the traditional authentic atmosphere of the “Café culture in Warsaw”, I recommend the main shop of E.Wedel. Situated in the centre of the city, this shop and café of the top brand of Polish chocolate is maintaining the ambiance of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. There are many menus; I often order breakfast croissants in the morning, naleśniki (Polish crêpe) and hot chocolate in the afternoon. I highly recommend to purchase delicious and exquisite pralines in the shop as well, for the souvenir of Warsaw!

Great chocolate (coming from a Belgian), iconic interior and actually maybe the best americano I had in Warsaw. The service to me didn't match up to the quality of their products though. Felt a bit like everyone was working there for their first month if I may be so direct (went twice). Nevertheless a must do when visiting Warsaw

Delicious chocolate products, nice, stylish, cosy place. One minus point for slow service - we waited for the waitress and later for our order for a very long time (probably because there were more people, but still the place wasn't full). I appreciate hot chocolate made with soya milk (due to my lactose intolerance). Ice chocolate with coconut flavour was our top choice. Plus they make the best krówkas in the city. Highly recommended!

Lovely café, old world decor... with a chocolate store within the premises. It was crowded when we visited. Hot chocolate was delish! The only complaint I have is that the chairs are proportionately to big fit the size of the tables. They do not fit under them making it very crowded around the tables. Also there are no coat hooks anywhere... so you end up having to hold your jackets on your lap... adding to the discomfort!
