I had a hip replacement at Nordorthopaedics clinic in July 2019. From my first inquiry to the surgery- everything went above and beyond my expectations. The clinic staff have a way of making a stressful process smooth and easy. My care was fantastic, and 3 years on...my hip is fantastic! (my hip was fantastic by Day 3...we had booked rehab but we decided to "rehab" in a hotel in Vilnius and go to all the great museums and restaurants. Walked 6,000 steps on day 5. :) I tell people about my experience all the time. My husband and I are both long-time nurses in the US- so we are realistic but we know the standards of care for these procedures. Post operative pain was no where near as bad as the pain I had going into the OR suite. So so pleased with everything. I'd be happy to outline the experience for anyone if they have questions- so find me on the socials.

Having faced a 4 year wait for my total knee replacement in the UK; I was recommended by someone locally who had just had a total hip replacement at Nord. Following my initial enquiry to Nord the process was super quick! I was offered a range of dates and from selecting a date within the space of 2 weeks I was booked and travelling to Lithuania. Responses to emailed questions were always prompt, and in many cases Justina and her team were providing information and solutions on prosthesis, process and post surgery rehab before I had even thought of them! Nothing was too much trouble and I found the whole process very personalised and tailored to my own needs. On arrival in Lithuania Nord I I was met by a driver from the exemplary logistics team, their role to transport, and communicate on each step. Pre surgery tests, x rays, paperwork, all completed timely. I chose accommodation in the newly refurbished self catering apartments, I really recommend this, apartment is laid out well, and spacious, and post surgery was very comfortable The surgery involved 2 nights in the clinic, very well cared for, wonderful food, and my surgeon was able to retain my ACL and PCL giving me the best outcome possible for a young and active person facing this surgery. Post surgery I had opted for physio at the Nord Clinic daily, although there is also the option of staying in the UPA spa. The physio for me was the best option and I really recommend it; led by Porofessor Siupsinskas. Individually tailored, progressive, and a great foundation for recovery back into my active life. I had travelled alone to Lithuania so the wrap around support that I got from Logistics (the drivers), the accommodation team and my Physio gave me total confidence to face all the challenges. I am left with abiding memories of a beautiful city, proud citizens, and a very motivated and caring workforce at Nord, and of course a brand new knee! So a massive thank you to all of you!

My GP was very sceptical when I told him that I was considering going to Lithuania to solve my knee problem. He immediately put me in touch with university friend who orthopedic surgeon. After a one to one consultation with him it became clear that private medical surgery in the UK (more specifically Scotland) was going to be very expensive with a minimal rehabilitation plan. I then contacted Nord through the "contact us" form on their website. Emilija phoned me the next day offering to answer any questions that I had. From then on, the process just seemed to happen. There was no hard sell or problems, just solutions! The medical team were very thorough about medical history, as they do not want anything to go wrong! I confirmed with Emilija, my date for surgery. My wife and I then booked the flight from Edinburgh and self-catering accommodation. One of Nord's drivers picked up us from Kaunas airport and took us to our apartment. From then on all transport was communicated by WhatsApp. We were collected for the pre-op check at the clinic. The X-Rays, blood tests etc were carried out incredibly efficiently with no waiting around. I was asked then to fill in all the forms and pay! On the morning of the operation, I was collected and taken to the clinic. I was shown to my room. I was to share with another gentleman who had had his partial knee replacement the previous day. I was prepared for the operation in a very professional way that I didn't even have a feeling of trepidation! The next thing I knew I awoke in the bed, with the sedation having worn off but not the epidural - very strange not to be able to feel anything below the waist! The first and second nights were fairly painful. The nursing team expect to be called whenever they are needed - they don't tend to check up unless prescribing meds or bringing food. The physio came round the day after the op for walking lessons on a pair of crutches, including down and up stairs. On day 2, another X-Ray and follow-up consultation with the surgeon confirmed my discharge; I was taken back to my apartment. I was able to walk to have some lunch on Liberty Avenue (the main street). For the next 15 days, I was picked up for physio, which included dressing changes and pain meds top-up if required. After 5 days, i was told to leave one crutch at home! within 7 days I was walking unaided, but did overdo it when my step counter logged that I had walked over 7km. The physio sessions are imperative for a smooth recovery. Mostly they are gentle and controlled, but can be brutal! The exercises are combined with cryotherapy, homework exercises and the use of icepacks. I would recommend at least 12 days physio. The journey home on the plane was less painful than the outbound one! 20 days post op, I am doing the exercises religiously. It is still sore at times, but certainly better than knee I left Scotland with less than 3 weeks ago. I drove my car on day 19! If you have any doubts, just look at the reviews and join the Facebook page! Good luck (although you shouldn't need it!)!

I had been troubled with my arthritic knee for years, it's condition deteriorating to the point where my life was being seriously affected. After going through all the hoops, including being told that at 65 years old I was too young to have a knee replacement I was eventually put onto the waiting list for a total knee replacement. To cut a long story short, I eventually was told that it would be late 2023 or 2024 before I would have a chance of having the operation. With all the NHS strikes , now and planned, it seemed likely that this was likely to result in an even longer wait. I therefore started looking overseas for treatment and I investigated 4 clinics in Poland and Nord Orthopaedics in Lithuania. Because of the professionalism displayed by Nord in our initial email correspondence, the comprehensive package offered and the competitive cost, it was really a no-brainer to select Nord. I have now had the operation and am back in UK and steadily improving. Many people are nervous of having such operations abroad, but its now a very small world and the whole process was completely stress-free, the surgeon and all the staff were superb, so my advice is, if you're hesitating, go for it!

My hip replacement at Nordorthopaedics took place just over two weeks ago and has been an unqualified success. The booking and administrative processes were seamless and the surgery and acute care at the clinic were top-notch. I opted for in-patient rehab at the UPA Medical spa for nine days afterwards, and when the clinic transport dropped me at the airport to return to Canada, I was able to return my crutches. Well done to Nordorthopaedics and UPA, and highly recommended!

After getting word from my local NHS board that my waiting time for a replacement knee would be 3 years, yes THREE years. I stumbled on Nordorthopaedics in Kaunas, after reading positive reviews I contacted them and within 3 weeks I had flights and accommodation arranged. The operation took place on the Monday, out on Wednesday and decided to have 7 sessions of rehab. I can't praise the doctors, nurses and physio staff enough for their professionalism. Thanks to Emilija for arranging accommodation and supplying all the necessary information I required and to all the drivers who transported myself and others to/from clinic, apartment and airport. This was a great experience and would highly recommend to anyone who can't wait for treatment. You won't regret it, I certainly didn't!

Hi, I am Lorraine from Newark Nottinghamshire and have just returned from Nord after having my second hip replacement. My first one was in July. I researched Nord clinic for about six months before I finally made the decision to go. I had spoken with my gp and consultant in England about it and as they gave me their full support offering to do all of my after care on my return, it gave me the confidence to go ahead. The Facebook page was a great help with people giving one another advice and sharing their experiences….a great idea! Justina was my mediator throughout and her e mails were always such a pleasure to receive, warm, friendly, polite, informative and even when i asked lots of questions nothing was too much trouble for her. Justina was excellent at her job snd she gave me the assurance I needed. The clinic was everything it claims to be. It worked like a well oiled machine. From my arrival at the airport I knew I was in good hands. I don’t remember feeling afraid at all because I just had great faith in the clinic, surgeons, nurses, physios ( after doing research and seeing it for myself). I have been looked after both times exceptionally well, first class in fact and I am happy to recommend it to anyone and encourage anyone in doubt to go ahead! Now I just have to recover and look forward to dancing the night away at my sons wedding in March! Thank you to all at Nord, you are amazing and thank you to the people I have met on my journey

Someone indicated the Nordorthopaedics website on 20 Aug 23. I checked reviews. A doctor friend had not heard of the clinic but gave it the go-ahead. On 3 Oct 23, I had my right knee replacement operation and had 11 rehab physio sessions. I flew home in the UK on 15 Oct 23, hardly needing the crutches. I can highly recommend this very professional clinic, all details were though off, excellent treatment. My clinic room mate had his hip done and is also very satisfied.

Sadly, our UK NHS is unable to keep up with the demands on it's services. In desperation to regain pain free movement and the ability to walk again with ease, I did much research and reading. I chose Nordorthopaedics Clinic to carry out my Total Hip Replacement. My experience has been 100% positive, from the first communication to the advice for continuing rehabilitation at home. Now, in the 12th day of post op recovery, I would highly recommend Nordorthopaedics Clinic to anyone requiring joint surgery.

My wife was in need of an urgent hip replacement a few weeks before Christmas. The health system in Britain is in such a state that we felt we had no option but to look elsewhere, and we are so grateful that we did. From the moment we started making contact with Nord clinic everything went extremely smoothly and quickly. She had a very successful operation on 2 January, followed by superb physiotherapy, such that her clips were removed before we flew home on 14 January. The care and attention throughout was second to none. We have already recommended the clinic to one person we know who is also in need of urgent attention, and we would have no hesitation in recommending the clinic to anyone else. Your accolade as a centre of excellence is justified and well deserved. Thank you.

We traveled from Alberta, Canada, in October 2022 to have my husband's right hip replaced. The clinic made the process from start to finish easy and they were so helpful the whole time. They were quick to respond and took care of every detail. Our customer service representative answered every question quickly and thoroughly which made us feel comfortable and confident in our decision. The clinic lived up to everything it promised. Every person we were in contact with (surgeon, physiotherapists, nurses, drivers, customer service representatives, etc) were extremely professional and competent, and we always felt that mg husband was in the best care possible. The stellar reviews that you read about Nordorthopaedics may seem too good to be true, but from our experience they are completely accurate and honest. We are so happy with the experience that we will be returning for his second hip in the future.

Having been told by that NHS I would have to wait at least 4 years for a hip replacement I decided to have it done privately. I was very apprehensive about having the operation abroad but after speaking to a friend who had her hip replaced at Nord and reading all the positive reviews I decided to go for it! The whole process could not have been easier, I made an enquiry via email and Ruta a customer service representative replied with all the information I needed. The only thing I had to do was book the flights, which were refunded by Nord, Ruta gave me a list of hotels and booked the reservation on my behalf. The logistics team were waiting at the airport to take me to the hotel and then they picked me up and took me to appointments when needed, I would receive text messages from the logistics team the night before an appointment letting me know what time they would be collecting me. As for the clinic it well run and very clean, all staff were friendly and made me feel at ease, nothing was too much trouble for them, I had the operation on a Thursday and I was released from the clinic on the Saturday, I had 4 sessions of rehab in the clinic which was outstanding! The staff done an excellent job, I cannot praise them enough. If you are in a position to pay for surgery then I highly recommend Nord, I paid less than half the price I would have done in the UK. I am now pain free in my hip and I am looking forward to getting my life back on track. Thank you Nord Orthopaedics.

My hip had deteriorated very quickly. A 5 year wait for the Welsh NHS to deal with it wasn't an option. I looked into a private operation locally but the cost for a 2 day stay in hospital with no aftercare was extortionate. So I did a search on the internet and came across Nord. I also quickly found the Facebook support group. I was delighted to find that there were quite a few people locally who had had procedures at Nord . I contacted a few and met and had telephone conversations. I was convinced. Like others have found, I was met with incredulity from family and friends not least from my husband. Everyone thought I was stark staring mad. I'd made my mind up though. My husband agreed to come with me. All we had to do was book flights, the lovely Justina saw to everything else. We stayed at the Kaunas Hotel for 2 days before I went into the clinic for my operation. Honestly, I cannot fault Nord: the staff were all wonderful and I cannot praise the skill of Professor Tarasevicius enough. In addition, he is a thoroughly nice man. I had decided to do the 10 days rehab at UPA medical spa in Druskininkai rather than stay for physio in Kaunas and I was glad I did because the cryotherapy, polarised light treatment and daily physio were wonderful. The recommended 10 days is good because I had my staples removed before leaving: I wasn't looking forward to trying to get it done at home. I am now home and 13 days post op. The bruising has almost gone and the scar is very neat. I can walk around the house without a crutch although I am using just the one when I go out. I have already persuaded a cousin and a friend to take the plunge and go to Nord. I hope many others will benefit from it too. They won't regret it.

I am writing this review 2 weeks on from my successful hip replacement & would like to reassure anyone travelling to Lithuania for surgery that it is the best choice I could have mede. Like many people, i did my research & also was helped in this by son in law who is a physiotherapist & we both came to the conclusion this was certainly the place to come. Travelling from Scotland was easy, as we travelled Ryanair from Edinburgh, Nordorthopaedics pick us up from the airport, took us to our hotel. My wife stayed 5 nights & i was there 3 due to the fact I would be 2 nights in the clinic for the operation. I was obviously apprehensive about surgery, however, once i got the injection in my spine & the "whisky" as she called it, in my arm, I never felt a thing & the next thing I remember is waking up in my bed. The surgeon & staff could not have been more attentive & after 5 days we were taken to the Spa Hotel for rehabilitation where we spent 9 nights. At the Spa it is only then you realise how many people travel from all round the world to this place, there were certainly plenty from UK. I realise it is a big step to travel abroad, however, I would have no hesitation recommending Nordorthopaedics & with the added benefit of surgery costing half the price i would have paid in Scotland, never mind the wait (43 weeks just to see an Orthopaedic Consultant & then put on the waiting list !!) which would easily be 3/4 years & by that time my hip would be in a worst state !!

I had a Total Knee Replacement. My experience of the clinic, surgeon and aftercare was positive. I felt very safe and know I got excellent medical care. The only part of the experience I would have liked to have been different was the transport to and from the UPA Medical Spa for rehabilitation. The drivers were excellent but I had difficulty bending my knee and was in agony in the car because there was not room to straighten my leg. Also, beware of using the supplied crutches outside in wet weather as they have no grip and slip easily! Twelve weeks on and I am pain free and walking normally! I am delighted with the result.

After being on "the list" for a year for a total hip replacement, and then to be told it could be another couple of years. I decided to take control and look at options for going private. When I chose Nordorthopaedics in Lithuania people thought I was mad. I am now 3 weeks post surgery and absolutely delighted that I made the decision to go with Nord. Every ran like clockwork from booking the hotel in Kaunas and UPA, the transfers through the Nord logistics team and of course the surgery. I chose to have 13 nights in UPA as my rehabilitation and would definitely recommend this facility. My contact through this process was the lovely Neringa who was quick and courteous to reply to my numerous questions. 10/10 well done guys and thanks. Regards James

The decision to travel abroad for medical treatment is not an easy one to take, you wonder how you will manage the stresses involved in such a momentous situation. I can reassure you that you could not do better than travelling to the beautiful country that is Lithuania, and in particular to Kaunas and the Nordorthopaedics Clinic! I had some doubts, and friends and family warned me of the possible dangers, but my experience could not have been improved upon. Neringa from Nordorthopaedics figuratively held my hand for the whole of my journey, from first enquiry through to returning home at the end of my treatment. Professor Tarasevicius is without doubt extremely talented and highly knowledgeable in his field, I cannot believe that I would have found better treatment anywhere in the world! All the support staff and all the medical staff and nurses were caring and friendly, all speaking excellent English. Following my treatment in the clinic I opted for the outpatient rehabilitation program, this was again an example of how these things should be done. I had nine days of rehab with one to one physio specially geared to my need and physical ability, at the end of which I felt confident and capable enough to be walking without crutches. I have today visited my own doctor at home to have the staples removed, and they could not credit the fact that only two weeks to the day after my total hip replacement I walked into the surgery without any support. I will say that I am not so young anymore at almost 71 years of age, which just shows how good my experience was. I can’t overstate how good the whole process has been, from beginning to end. If you are considering having treatment with Nordorthopaedics and are uncertain as to whether you should try it or not, then take my word, the only thing you will regret is not doing it sooner!

Posted on behalf of my Mum. I went to Lithuania during the pandemic in July 2020 for a full HIP replacement using the NHS EU Directive. I was lucky enough to have this facility pre-Brexit and probably one of the last patients. The NHS were inundated with back logs so we took this amazing opportunity to go private in another country. The NHS funded the entire process. I cannot praise the clinic and the rehabilitation hotel enough. The efficiency of the clinic was excellent. My husband came with as my chaperone. I had assisted travel with Ryan air which is so worth it and again on arrival into Kaunas. The staff at the local airport were also excellent and were there waiting at the arrivals to assist. They picked us up in a private minibus and took us to a hotel in the town – we had to be at there 2 days prior. The next day I was picked up from the hotel and taken to the clinic for pre op tests and a COVID 19 test. Then taken back to the hotel. The day of the operation I was picked up from the hotel and taken to my private room, hear I had a conversation with the Surgeon with regards to the process etc. He spoke excellent English so communication was very easy. All the staff spoke very good English. I spent 2 days at the clinic post op and then taken to the Rehabilitation Clinic called UPA Medical Hotel. The UPA centre is a place where people recover after operations. There is a Spa facility, pool and all the facilities you need for post op care. 24/7 doctor or Nurse on call, physio, numerous therapies. I saw a doctor twice but he said to contact him anytime. The food was buffet style, very tasty, lots of choices too. It’s a great place to meet other people in your position also, as it could be quite daunting if you are alone and in a strange place. Couldn’t fault the entire process – and would defiantly do it all again. Thank you to all the staff at Nordorthopaedics and to Aurelija who was my case worker, she was simply the best during a difficult and challenging time.

I asked for an X-ray in the UK and got one on the 13th of July. referral to Ortho was put in and the letter came back "If you don't hear from us by 9th Sept. call back" I looked on Google and Facebook and found lots of good reviews for Nord. I contacted them and the process was so clear. I flew from Stanstead to Kaunas on 28th August had the operation stayed in the beautiful apartments, had a nurse on call for pain management(not needed) and dressing, and flew home on 6th Sept. I cannot praise them enough, they're so professional and caring. The pricing is clear and all-inclusive even the surgical shoe and crutch included.

Before reviewing Nord Clinic, I wanted to finish at least 10 weeks of post-surgery rehab to see how I was doing after my total hip replacement in mid-September. I am walking much better, including stairs. The previous pain and problems are gone. I am back at the gym, and now planning without fear a hiking and mountain biking trip in New Zealand. My experience with Nord Clinic was vastly positive, with only a few very minor glitches. They lived up to their reputation on Facebook and elsewhere. Should I have family members or friends in need of the services which Nord Clinic offers, I would 100% recommend Nord Clinic. Now that I have recovered my mobility, I am realizing that the surgery is turning out to be one of the best decisions I have made in quite some time. As a final note, my stay for Rehab was at the Radisson Hotel -- which I can also recommend as a solid choice.

Exceptional care from start to finish. The inital communications explaining the process (and the clinical workup required before surgery could be approved) was comprehensive and very patiently carried out by the co-ordinator, Karolina. The actual care in the clinic was amazing - the surgeon and anaesthetist explained everything clearly and the nurse team looking after us were very responsive and kind. The rehab after the operation was fantastic (the more you have the better the recovery - I had 7 days but will book 10-14 days if I ever need the other knee replaced, and I WILL be going back to the Nord Clinic for any future orthopaedic issue). There is always a worry about going abroad for care, but the work-up gave me confidence and I was not disappointed when I got there. Brilliant place - I feel so lucky to have found it and gone there. Huge thanks to everyone there.

I was very scared of traveling overseas for major surgery, but my research led me to believe that Nordorthopaedics was the best choice for me for a total hip replacement. After discussing my decision with some people who had previously gone to Nord, and being encouraged by my family to please do something to find relief from pain, I made the move - scheduled a surgery date, bought airline tickets and booked accommodation. I am very glad to have made that decision. I am now not quite 3 weeks post surgery, back home in Canada and pretty much pain free. I am able to walk without walking aids and I feel like I have been set free. I'm not sure that I realized how debilitating the pre-surgery pain was until I was better. I highly recommend Nordorthopaedics. They looked after me from the moment I landed in Vilnius until the moment I was delivered, pain free and happy, back to a hotel in Vilnius the night before my flight home. If concern about travelling to a foreign country is stopping you, I can assure you that my trip to Lithuania turned out to be a very positive, rich personal and cultural experience, with excellent care provided each and every day. I would go back.

Making the decision to have a hip replacement abroad, in Lithuania, with the Nordorthopaedics clinic, was the best decision I made! The clinic came highly recommended by others who have been treated there, through similar reviews. But I am also fortunate enough to have a personal Lithuanian friend who also carried out his independent research on the clinic, he too, highly recommended the Nordorthaedic clinic for my hip replacement surgery, and post op, physiotherapy which I would also highly recommend! The clinic co-coordinators (Emilija in my case) done a wonderful job of putting the entire package together for me, including the pricing, which was very clear, Emilija arranged all the pre/post op, and physiotherapy transportation for my entire two week stay in Lithuania. Pickup on arrival in Lithuania, to drop off at the airport on my final departure, all outpatient pick-ups, and drop off's which included travel to and from the post Op recovery SPA, which is located in a beautiful part of the country. Emilija (Nord clinic co-Ordinator) arranged all the hotel and SPA accommodation, including post op physiotherapy, at the Nord clinic, with the very professional and friendly physiotherapy team, led by, by Laimonas and Juste, who were inspirational to all of the post op patients. The Post Op physiotherapy treatment at the UPA Spa, was also very, very useful and essential, again I highly recommend a patient spends a minimum of a week there to get them back on the road after hip/knee replacement. A couple of things that could be improved post-surgery, in my humble opinion, and based on my experience. 1. Stronger pain killers than the standard Paracetamol, or Ibuprofen. 2. The cryotherapy and heat treatment should be abit longer than 10 minutes, maybe 20 minutes per session 3. As the majority of the patients are English speaking, I would recommend the staff have extra lessons in English to improve communications. 4. The SPA rooms could be improved a little bit, some rooms had showers with a support handle, some don't, but these are needed post-surgery. 5. I would also suggest that maybe the SPA have a bbq or entertainment evening once a week, this would certainly, lift the spirits and moral of the patients. But overall, the staff were very helpful, professional, and attentive, the doctors, nurses, and the general SPA staff were fantastic, as well as the physiotherapists, and masseurs/masseuses. The overall cost for the surgery and post op treatment, including transportation, is worth the £7.5k GBP, or 8.5k Euros charged, which is phenomenally better than the £14k to £20k (GBP) UK costs for the same private treatment which does not include post op physiotherapy, so this makes the surgery more affordable from a private treatment perspective. The quality of the Hip/Knee implants, the Op procedures, and the experience of the Surgeons, are as good as the UK, and other parts of the EU, or Western world. The implants are and standards of the implants are all based on the same implant supplier/vendors. Nordorthopaedic clinic surgeons provide the patients with a list of implant options and advice on which implants would work best for them, based on their age, activeness, and other factors, which most of the UK NHS, or private clinics do not! This makes a patient feel more involved in the decision process, this stands out as a very positive factor, in my personal opinion. Lastly, there are no long waiting lists to have the required surgery, this also makes Nordorthopaedic clinic unique, and attractive, especially for those patients that have been seeking hip/knee replacement treatment for a very long time on the NHS, or other parts of the world. I needed a TKR and emailed my MRI to Nord. The reply was immediate and every help was given to me from booking me in to a hotel, to surgery and my rehab at UPA. I was picked up and delivered wherever I needed to go. Everyone was very professional and friendly. I am really pleased with my surgery and would like to thank you to everyone who helped me along the way.

Hi, after being told by the NHS that the waiting list was 1 to 5 years for a hip replacement I started to look at options for private surgery. A friend of mine recommended Nordopedics. I looked at their reviews, and decided to contact them. From then on everything was handled very fast, smooth and professionally. From the pick up at Kaunas airport, to the clinic, hotel, Spa, every step of the process was very efficient. I highly recommend Nordopedics!

I was told 18 months ago that I needed a hip replacement. 10 months ago I was told that it was going be to 2-3 years on the NHS waiting list before I could get an operation. So with this information I decided to look elsewhere. We considered getting the procedure done here in the U.K. privately, even looked into it. We were quoted anywhere between £15,500 to £16,000 without rehabilitation. My husband mentioned it to a work colleague who said ‘Have you heard of The Nord Clinic?’ This was the first we had heard the name. So armed with the name we began our research. It turned out to be the best thing we could’ve done. From first email contact with Neringa it took 5 weeks to get me to the clinic in Kaunas, Lithuania. The service, support and professionalism are, in my opinion, second to none! We stayed for 16 days. My surgery was performed on the second full day I was there by the wonderful surgeon Dr. Sarūnas Taraseičius who meets with you, explains everything that is going to happen before, during and after. The nurses and staff at the clinic couldn’t be more helpful. The logistics team that meet you at the airport and pick you every day for rehab were also brilliant. I opted to have an hour long rehab every day for 13 days with the amazing physiotherapist Prof. Laimonas Šiupšinskas, who happens to be the national basketball’s team physiotherapist. I can’t fault Nord Clinic! If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. I highly recommend them. If in the future I’m in need of any orthopaedic surgery it’s the only place I will consider. From start to finish, even the hotel they recommended, the Hotel Kaunas, they were so so helpful. Thank you Nordorthopaedic you’ve given me my life back.

Travelling from Canada to Nordorthopaedics is not without a degree of apprehension however it was completely unfounded. Their entire process is almost flawless and completely professional. The cost is a fraction of that in Canada and allows the opportunity to bypass waiting. Highly recommended!

Dallas Robinson (Hip Replacement) My journey started in July 2023. I had been suffering with hip pain for the last 18 months and the waiting list was around 3 years. I decided to look at private treatment and I looked at Nordorthopeadic clinic, I made my first enquiry in July right from the start the information provided by Karolina was excellent. I decided to go ahead and investigate further. Throughout the whole process Karolina was there to help, support and keep me updated with all the information I required, very very professional. My date for the operation was set for 19th October 2023. I arrived at the clinic the day before and had my bloods, ECG and a Xray to check everything was correct before the operation. On the day of the operation my surgeon Prof Sarunas Tarasevicius came to see me before the operation, he reassured me and explain the operation process. I was in the clinic for 2 days where I was looked after by the qualified staff throughout my stay. I had also booked 7 days physio after the operation, ( this is something I would highly recommend). On my discharge from the clinic I received my first physio session with Prof Laimonas Siupsinskas, the sessions lasted for 1 hour and Laimonas was fantastic. The service provided by the clinic was second to none, even down to the pick up and drop off service provided by the clinic. My quality of life has changed for the better and I thank, Karolina, Prof Sarunas Tarasevicius, Prof Laimonas Siupsinskas Nursing staff and the driving team. If you are having hip, knee or other medical problems get yourself out to Nordorthopaedics like I did, you won't regret it. I would thoroughly recommend Nordorthopeadic clinic for their dedication, attention to detail, professionalism and their down to earth care of all patients.

Hi everyone, just thought I'd share my experiences of the Nord Clinic journey. I was introduced to the Nord group by my good friend Martin Kelly. We have a shared love of running and sport. I applied for surgery on 29th of May, hoping to get sorted during the summer months. I worked with Ieva Malikėnaitė, customer support rep, who did a great job. Two factors prevented me from going immediately, I have MS (quite mild, thank god), so they needed my latest neurologist MRI report. I also presented with a low heart rate, 48 BPM resting. Nord required a second ECG and Cardiologist report. The first ECG and bloods were completed by my GP. The second ECG was carried out by Randox for £90 and included the cardiologist report. A local private hospital Kingsbridge Medical, charged me £282 for a 20 minute meeting with an orthopaedic surgeon to confirm I needed a new hip. They then wanted to charge £500-£880 for ECG and Cardiologist report. Thank god for Randox. The low heart rate was down to me being quite fit and the second ECG was accepted by Nord. Rather than complaining about all the tests, I have to applaud Nord on their thoroughness. Please get tests completed beforehand folks because it makes you feel more at ease. My journey to Nord eventually took place on October 22nd, with the THR on Tuesday 24th October. We booked the Radisson, mainly because Martin had said it was a super hotel. It certainly proved to be that. My wife accompanied me and she was able to go shopping in the old town and the acropolis shopping centre. Plenty for her to do and see. The sorest part of my operation was the insertion of the cannula for drugs administration. It wasn't that bad. Paulina the anaesthetist was very clear in explaining the procedure before surgery. Surgery was at 9am and I was back in bed at 10.30am. Take all the meds because you will be sore. Thursday 26th Physio began with Leimonous. The physio is intense but very well guided. He knew each day how to push me individually and also when to ease up. The fun and banter in the class was amazing and there was a natural bond of friendship because of the surgeries we had been through. I met Carol Lloyd, Barry Davies, John from Banbridge, William McGuinness, Aaron from Texas, Nigel, Alison, Margaret, Martin from Manchester to name but a few. After 7 days of intense physio and plenty of relaxing in between. (Do take the rest, when your body tells you), my wife and I returned home to Dublin airport, Ireland. Assistance had been booked for both airports on the return journey and it worked amazingly well. I think John from Banbridge wished he had booked the assistance also, unfortunately he had to join long queues which meant a lot of standing about on crutches. I am back home now, starting the mental and physical rehab here. I had a great experience and if anyone needs to ask any questions, please do so. The highlight of the journey was working with Leimonous, an outstanding coach but also an outstanding human being.

Just thouhgt I would say a big thanks to all the boys & girls at Nord Orthorpedics . Yes you can read the glowing reports of peoples time in Kaunas , but you may get a ' can it be that good ' ? thought . Let me tell you am home and had my operation 14 days ago and it was better than I ever imagined and it has changed my life . After 4 years of being messed around by the Welsh NHS in YG Bangor I am now pain free , quick example , if I had not gone to Nord 16 days ago I would have taken 64 co-codemol tablets to allow me some kind of normal life. In the last 16 days have taken 2 oh and one Tramadol the effects I posted and still remember the cobwebs forming on the bottom of my bed and coming up my legs !!! Everything was run like clockwork and even when the Taxi Van broke down and was leaking diesel, 8 mins Later and 2 SKoda Estates came and of we went arriving only a few mins late for Physio. The fellow people you meet from all over the world at Nord is amazing and a big thank you to you all who will stay friends for a long time . Got to mention the physio Laimanus who is the physio for the National basket ball team and having been involved in sport at World class level he is simply the best L have ever met . So if your are thinking of going nothing to worry about, the only problem there seems to be is the return from Kaunes which seems somtimes good and other times bad as reported on my previous post and agreed by lots of other people which is nothing to do with Nord and hopefully will be sorted out ??

I, like many other Canadians are sick of waiting to get hip replacement surgery, so, I started my search for help. When I google hip replacement in Canada, oddly enough, Nord came up. I had already looked into going to Mexico, Cuba, USA as well as Canada for the procedure. So, when Nord came up with significant savings, I was skeptical. How can they offer the same procedure for 1/2 the price? So I contacted them many many times, asked a Gazzilion questions, checked internet and even got my chiropractor to look into their clinic. All things came up good. The more I communicated with the Logistics crew at Nord, the more confident I was. So, I took the plunge, bought my plane tickets, set a procedure date and Nord did the rest of scheduling etc. I am happy to say that things are going very good. I am now 10 days from operation and am walking with one crutch and feeling better every day. I have full confidence that good things are coming. Nord is a very professional organisation that truly does put the patient first. I felt I was in good hands from start to finish. Thank you Nord!!!!

My right hip joint was causing mobility limitations and discomfort due to pain since 2018. On the advice of my family doctor, I lost weight and undertook a program of regular exercise. That bought me some time but by April 2023 I was using a cane to walk and my X-rays were showing that the hip joint was at "end state" due to osteoarthritis. The only solution for relief was joint replacement surgery. Our wait times within the public health care system for this elective procedure in Alberta, Canada are estimated to be about 2 years after getting an appointment with a surgeon. When I hadn't yet been able to meet with a Canadian surgeon by the end of August, 2023 I explored my options outside the Canadian public health care system. After speaking with two Albertans who'd recently chosen Nordorthopaedics Clinic, I decided to contact the Clinic. It had an excellent reputation for quality medical care and value. From my very first contact, the Clinic's communication was timely and transparent. Every question I had was answered. I was impressed with the responsive and complete information provided to me. I understood the Clinic's approach to surgery and patient care, and I knew exactly what its full-service orthopaedic procedure included. My surgery date was set for Oct 31, 2023. I returned home from the surgery and eight days of rehab/physio at the Clinic and am following a ten-week at-home personalized exercise plan provided by the Clinic's physiotherapist. My rating reflects my complete satisfaction with the integrity of the Clinic's exceptional medical (surgical, patient care and rehab/physio) teams. I also acknowledge its excellent logistical coordination and administration. I am totally satisfied with how my total hip joint replacement surgery and my subsequent outpatient recovery care were handled. All said, I consider that Nordorthopaedics Clinic gave me the absolute best value. I recommend it without hesitation.

Excellent professional service! My hip replacement surgery at Nordorthopaedics Clinic went smooth from arrival at Kaunas airport, surgery, rehabilitation sessions, hotel stay, logistics, ... Special thanks go to Prof. Tarasevicius, anesthetist Paulina, the nurses, and Prof Siupsinskas from rehabilitation. I am now 4 weeks into rehab and make good progress every day. The local physiotherapist was surprised how well I was doing and well ahead of the game. Excellent motion range already and no pain throughout the recovery. Took my first steps without crutches this week. Great feeling.

Our last night after two separate trips to Kaunas to have mine and Aileen’s respective hips replaced. Cannot speak highly enough of Nord Clinic/Physio/Logistics/Admin Also all the staff at Kaunas Hotel. So helpful, friendly and accommodating down to handing out the O so good ice packs. To anyone in pain and have been let down by the NHS I can only speak for myself and my wife, if you are able do so do not hesitate to come here. Thank you Nord Orthopaedics and Kaunas Hotel. ❤️❤️

I first became aware of Nordorthopaedics Clinic after having my left knee privately assessed in the UK. The price I was quoted by the UK hospital was over £14,000 pounds & not really a realistic option. I was faced with a predictably long waiting list to have my surgery through the NHS, so decided to look for other options & found Nordorthopaedics. If I'm honest, having the surgery done in another country was a bit daunting to start with but the more I looked into the Clinic through it's website & reading all the patient reviews online, I became more & more convinced that this was the option for me. I made an enquiry online & received a reply from a customer service representative called Justina who handled my process from start to finish with a series of emails & 1 phone call. All my questions were answered quickly & clearly, meaning that after making my first enquiry (28th Oct) I had a surgery date for Monday 27th November. I booked direct flights from Edinburgh leaving Sunday 26th November & returned back to Edinburgh on Friday 8th December after opting for a good period of rehab while staying at the Clinics self-catering apartments which are 1st class. I would recommend to anyone to opt for the longer period of rehab as it prepares you better for the journey home. A very professional & efficient experience by the whole team at the clinic & anyone having any doubts about going abroad for their surgery needn't worry but go for it.

It's 14 days today since I had the surgery to replace my right hip joint.I have just been to have the staples removed at my GP.The practice nurse was very impressed with the healing of the wound and the fact I am walking without crutches. I cannot praise Nordclinic highly enough.A friend had recommended it to me having had both his hips replaced there. His description of the meticulous care and attention was not exaggerated. I felt totally cared for by all the staff I encountered without exception, and the surgeon Prof Sarunas Tarasevicius gave me a feeling of such confidence. Thank you Mazena Daveiko,my case manager, for answering all my questions prior to my trip to Lithuania, and the logistics you arranged worked seamlessly. It really put me at ease.I'm sorry we did not get to meet.Maybe next time-my knees are quite painful!!!

I can’t recommend Nordorthopaedics clinic highly enough. The whole process from my first enquiry, through to surgery and recovery was made effortless, with Justina my contact arranging everything and being efficient and helpful. All of the staff were so kind and helpful, the clinic was clean and professional. If I ever needed surgery I would not hesitate to go back. My gratitude to all at the clinic for making my surgery and recovery a brilliant experience. Rita Everton

I just recieved a THR at Nord 11 days ago. When I first found their website I was very skeptical that a clinic in Lithuania could offer a major surgical procedure at the price they were advertising. Having researched other options, Nord was a significant outlier on price and comparable to places in the world where I wouldn't consider recieving clinical services. More research lead me to reviews on this platform and facebook that were overwhelmingly positive and painted a picture of a very professional and efficient opperation. The reviews were so positive that I was suspicious there was some kind of scam being operated to relieve me of my money. I checked to see if the people writing the reviews were real and lo and behold they were! From the point of confirming Nords legitimacy, it was a very easy process of contacting the clinic and being walked through all the necessary steps to book a surgery date along with all the other logistics of flights and accomodations. My support person, Marija, was responsive and supportive throughout the process, which included the complications of COVID and entry /exit requirements. So here I am, back in Canada walking without assistance and making plans to have the surgical staples removed. Everything appears to be healing perfectly. Perhaps the best testament is that I have already booked my second surgery to replace the other hip with Nord in spring.

I had a hip arthroscopy at Nord, with excess bone being removed and joint capsule repair etc. What can I say? I work myself as a specialist in musculoskeletal medicine privately in the U.K. and can say that the service I received from all the team was brilliant. I was initially concerned about going abroad, but it didn’t take long until Justina emailing me regularly, answering all my questions calmed me down. Then meeting all the team, from drivers to reception staff and the consultants was just so reassuring. Everyone was just amazing. I would thoroughly recommend them and if I ever needed them in the future I would not hesitate.

I found myself struggling with knee arthritis and faced with an unknown wait before even seeing a consultant. Faced with a high bill to go private and with no physio I went in search of an alternative. The Clinic looked too good to be true. However the numerous testimonials convinced me and my experience exceeded every expectation. It was easy to deal with the clinic from home and from the moment of arrival I was taken care of and safely delivered to hotel, theatre and rehab. The op was very successful and I will definitely go back if my other knee requires it.

Everything was brilliant from the first enquiry to the surgery and rehabilitation. The whole process is really well integrated and 12 days after my ACL repair I have started to cycle on the indoor bike. All the staff I met from the drivers to the receptionists were wonderful. All the clinic staff were both professional and caring and all contributed to a great outcome. I can't thank you enough. Best decision ever.

I had a meniscopy on my right knee and the service was more than I could have hoped for. I was a bit apprehensive about going overseas for surgery to a place I knew little about, but can say every detail surpassed my expectations. The whole experience was excellent and for a fraction of the UK price. (1500 euros instead of 5000 euros equivalent in the UK) I agreed a date for surgery 3 weeks beforehand so no long drawn out process. Everything was perfect from airport transfer (despite my 2 hour flight delay) to the food in the clinic, to the exactness of daily pick-ups / drop-offs from and to the physio sessions (which were great and led by a great physio). The surgeon engaged and kept us informed before and after. Great communication throughout. The people are fantastic and in the main speak English, the city is clean and orderly. It was just a very very positive experience. Most importantly, soon after the surgery my knee is doing great so far. I suppose the acid test is whether I would recommend Nord Clinic to a close friend or relative, and I ABSOLUTELY would - 100% Exceptional quality service. Exceptional value for money. A 'no brainer' if you are in pain and want a fast, efficient and cost effective solution.

From start to finish I have been very impressed with the whole process. You wait for years on the NHS or if you're fortunate to be able to, you get in touch with Nordorthopaedics and arrange your hip replacement as soon as is feasibly possible. I would recommend getting the extra rehab at the UPA Health Spa if one can afford it. It seems that with this hip I have healed twice as fast as my previous one that was done privately here in the UK. The extra rehab is worth 4-6 weeks of you doing your own stretching etc at home, which is the standard with anything done in the UK. The customer service I received from start to finish was refreshingly good, always answering the telephone and replying to emails, queries etc swiftly. The surgeon was very professional and alleviated and trepidation one might have had prior to the operation. The staff at the hospital all spoke English and there were no issues at all when there. All in all I cannot recommend them enough, just sad one has to go abroad to get this operation done to get back to work and a better quality of life

I had a wonderful experience with Nord from start to finish. My customer service representative (Justina) responded with the all the info I needed immediately and helped me with sorting my accommodation and transfers from Vilnius. On arrival at the clinic every thing was perfect and the care I received after my surgery (Big toe joint fusion) was excellent. I recommend to anyone struggling to get surgery done in the UK to go here! Thank you Nord 😊

I had total knee replacement surgery 3 weeks ago and it was mostly a very good experience. The organisation beforehand was excellent with very prompt and clear guidance from my contact, Mazena. From there everything worked accoding to plan. My only problem was with Codeine pain killers as I seem to be allergic but it got sorted. My knee is responding well and I anticipate a complete recovery.

After much research regarding full hip replacement in the UK and subsequent consultations with private surgeons I decided to look at options abroad. The likely wait of 3+ years with the NHS just wasn't an option for me. Nordorthopaedics clinic stood out with excellent reviews, a great website including facebook access and testimonials from past patients. My contact at the clinic was Neringa, who remained with me throughout the whole journey. I will be forever greatful to her for all the help, advice, and support she provided. Everything is exceptionally well organised, with all the transfers, the surgical procedure, to re-hab at UPA spa clinic. The standard of treatment and after care is second to none including the quality of implants provided. Without doubt the best decision I could have made as I am more advanced with my recovery now than I would have been in the UK. Many thanks to all involved at Nordorthopaedic clinic for the excellent professional service you provide. I will happily recommend you to anyone in the future. In essence the procedure and subsequent rehabilitation care exceeded our expectations.

I chose to have my hip replaced at Nordorthopaedics, when to my dismay I was informed there was a six month wait just for a consultation with the NHS, let alone actual surgery. Just three weeks later I was recovering in their hospital. There are not words to properly describe my experience with them, so truly fantastic from start to finish will need to do!! Don't hesitate just go there. Regards Tillman Kribbs

My experience at the Nordorthopaedics Clinic was, as seems universal, excellent. While it was a long and arduous trip to get to Lithuania from Mexico, it was well worth it. I'm three weeks out from a hip replacement now and I'm doing very well, thanks to the quality of care I received both at the Clinic and for two weeks thereafter at UPA. As an active person, regaining my mobility was important to me and I wanted the very best of care. I had 100 percent confidence in the surgeon, the clinic, and the rehabilitation spa and would highly recommend Nord to anyone who needs a joint replacement. This clinic is truly a first class operation. I'm sure I'll be returning at some point for hip #2.

Have been putting off a hip replacement for over a year. A friend recommended the Nordothopedic clinic in Lithuania and after extensive research, I finally made the decision to have it done. It was absolutely the best decision I have ever made. From the first point of contact via email where consultation with the medical team was flawless, through to the travel arrangements, accomodatipn and quality of care, everything exceeded my expectations. The surgery and aftercare was excellent and the rehabilition at the UPA medical spa was brilliant. I had 5 days there but if I go again as my other hip may require me to, I will stay for at least 10 days at the rehab centre. My thanks goes out to all the staff at the clinic and at the UPA.

I have contacted the clinic as I was looking to have a correction surgery on my right foot. I had the fist contact with clients coordinator though email which they guided me through all the process with their prompt and supportive reply. The surgery was booked very quick and the tests and checks were done prior and after the surgery. The surgeon, the nurses and anesthesiologists were amazing and professional they made me feel comfortable, and I could feel I was in good hands from the beginning. Thank you very much :)

I couldn't recommend Nordorthopaedics highly enough. First contact to hip replacement surgery in Kaunas took less than a month, with reassuring full information and first rate care at every step. A big 'thank you' to Justina, who made the preliminaries and the planning of the trip very straightforward, to the friendly and helpful Nord logistics team who ferried us around and last, but certainly not least, to Professor Tarasevicius and his medical team at the clinic. I would also highly recommend the subsequent rehab stay at the UPA Medical Spa. I am looking forward to returning to Lithuania as a tourist, now with two good legs!

Everything was perfect I put my trust in this clinic for my ankle surgery and was not disappointed. The surgeon I had was Dr Kynitis who was very professional and will only make the right decisions and will not be rushed. I had to extend my stay by an extra week because the surgeon identified another issue with my ankle. The surgery was a success so thank you Dr Kimitys. The logistic team were perfect , they transported you between the Airport the clinic and your place of residence in a clean safe vehicle and not forgetting the nurses who were kind caring and efficient. Finally the office team especially Emelijia who again was efficient honest and couldn’t have done any more. I would 100% recommend this Clinic who are based in Kaunas. If anyone wants anything verifying or if you have any questions on this clinic I’m happy to help just message me.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH NORD ORTHOPEDIC CLINIC Following extensive internet investigation and contact with people who have undertaken medical procedures overseas, Plus multiple positive references. One particular name seemed to reappear time and time again, and that was Nord Orthopaedic Clinic. So I decided to look Closer Into Nord, and contacted them directly. Following some questions that were answered professionally and promptly, I decided that Nord showed every sign of being the one for me. After extensive communication with Nord, I arranged a date for my surgery for April 26th. and we arrived in Kaunas a couple of days prior to surgery on a direct flight from Bristol. We had decided that we would stay at the Radisson Hotel for the duration of our stay, which was all arranged by Nord. As it turned out this was the best choice for us, with everyone at the hotel and Nord being more than helpful. Everything regarding the surgery and my stay at the clinic was done in a very professional manner with everybody being so helpful. After discharge I had booked 10 day physiotherapy. Which in my opinion was carried out, so professionally by Laimonas Siupsinakas and his staff .Which culminated in Mr Siupsinakas removing my Staples prior to my departure. Which was a good thing as since my return I have heard that some have had problems with getting them removed in the UK.. Our return journey went well and now 2 months since my surgery, my recuperation is going better than I expected with me walking without any aids and driving again. I know that I still have a way to go to full recovery but feel that without all the help and advise given at Nord I would not be where I am today. I would like to thank also all the staff in the Nord transportation department for their assistance during our stay in Kaunas. Best Regards to All at Nord Rod Francis

Coming from Germany, I found the accessibility of Nordorthopaedics through several non-stop flights to Kaunas to be very convenient. Additionally, based on my previous experiences with hospital stays in Germany, Nordorthopaedics truly demonstrated what excellent comprehensive care looks like. Their attention to every detail of the patient's journey, from the medical procedure itself to the supportive environment created for recovery, was far beyond my previous experiences. So to recap, my positive experience includes: * Highly competent hip surgeon (Sarunas) * FANTASTIC physiotherapist (Laimonas) with excellent practice equipment * Exceptional comprehensive care, superior to my previous hospital stays in Germany * Very good medical care during the time on site * Good shuttle service (for physiotherapy + to/from the airport) * Well-located apartment with nursing support * Last but certainly not least, the excellent communication with Emilija both before arriving and for any inquiries during the stay. I would highly recommend Nordorthopaedics to anyone considering a hip replacement procedure. The level of care, expertise, and service I received was truly exceptional.

I chose to have hip replacement abroad after x-rays showed major deterioration and Canadian wait times excessive. I selected Nordorthopaedics based on the excellent physio offered post-surgery with the cost less than 1/2 of a private Canadian option. Once a surgery date was booked (immediate availability) the Nord staff took care of booking accommodation, transportation, setting up physio etc. Everything very efficient. The clinic was very modern and the hospital staff were very attentive and professional. Physio after surgery was exceptional as anticipated and I was able to walk without crutches 5 days after surgery. I had 6 physio sessions and stayed 8 days post-surgery prior to flying home. I am virtually back to normal (and pain free!) 2 weeks post surgery. The whole experience was wonderful and I would absolutely recommend Nordorthopaedics!

From my initial contact with customer services, everything just flowed smoothly. From entering reception, having the tests and X-Rays, having the operation on my knee, recovering, and being taken to my apartment, then going through the rehab program. Everything has been worked out to run as smoothly as possible. The cars are there to meet you at the airport. They come every day and take you to the clinic and back to your place of stay. The drivers are all polite with lots of patience. I cannot praise Nordorthopaedics highly eneough. Wonderful service from all involved.
