We did a one-day hike up Mount Olympus and really enjoyed it. In the morning, we started from the Prionia parking lot and made our way up to Skala peak. The trail is really beautiful and the view from the top absolutely stunning. We passed the refuge A at 2100m altitude and enjoyed some delicious soup there. In terms of planning I would not recommend doing ascent and descent on the same day (as we did). Even though I would describe myself as relatively fit (I run multiple times per week), I perceived the 20km round trip with 1,800m difference in altitude as somewhat challenging. Especially the top section near Skala is nasty. After finally reaching the top, you will still need a lot of energy for the descent. Most of the hikers we met spent a night at refuge A, which I would recommend if I were to do it again. They offer various food items and drinks. I believe for an overnight stay a reservation is required. The trail itself is in good condition, however has some more challenging gravel and snow sections (at least in May). You should definitely bring sufficient water and food. We burned more than >5k calories that day and drank >4l each. And most importantly, bring proper hiking shoes.

From Prionia to Litochoro. The scenery is breathtaking. However, despite what the locals said, coming down from Prionia to Litochoro is NOT an easy thing to do. PLEASE, be prepared for a long and difficult path. You will need good hiking shoes and a good water supply, as there is no place where you can resupply. The final 5km of the path, right after Spring Kastania, the path becomes even more demanding and challenging. I would not recommend it for kids, or anyone who doesn't have good physical condition and strong legs/feet. We also read that there were signs everywhere. In this particular path there aren't. We felt many times that we were lost or we took the wrong path. We kept meeting people that were looking for the waterfalls or the pools which are not even on this section of the path. There should be more signs for the entirety of the route and for both directions.

The world famous Mountain of Ancient Greek Gods is today an excellent destination to enjoy hiking, climbing and trail in general activities. Beautiful landscapes which you must respect and don’t risk your safety!

We did the E4 route from Priona to Litochoro, pretty cool views, the water is pristine and drinkable, it took us like 6 hours taking a time to have some lunch and take pictures, great place.

Great place to check out different sites. Bath of Zeus, old and new monasteries, different spots along the way, and Preonia at the top. Beautiful flowers everywhere! It's great for those who want to hike or just drive up leisurely for some great pictures and sites.

Really beautiful area. Amazing waterfall just a few minutes down the trail. It is ice cold but the clearest water I've ever seen! They also have a pipe that spits out water like a sprinkler. My kids and I loved it!

Beatiful place! Enjoyed every second I was there. Water is mostly clean so you can swim nearly everywhere and if you find yourself high enough you can even drink it. The paths that I took were clean and easy to follow. Would highly recommend visiting if you find yourself near the area.

My favourite place so far the park itself is beautiful at the base there is a praking lot and a restaurant and if you want you can visit the waterfall nearby it's beautiful. I started from there and went all the way to the peak it was a long trip but it was worth it I saw the great scenery I've seen some animals and rare flora. The "shop" at 2100m is great try the frappe there it's better than at the beach from there I have stopped time to time to take pictures and regain my stamina. I've seen so many paths to take but I was heading to top so I didn't take them there were hard parts and ones where you were supposed to have safety equipment but I didn't have any...

Not many hiking trails for causal hikers. For a causal full day trip, I would recommend Býthos for the nice small waterfall and canyon, visiting the informational centre which has a free museum, stopping by the New Holy Monastery of Saint Dionysios of Olympus, hiking the ~80mins round trip Sacred Cave of Saint Dionysios of Olympus, and short 5mins walk to Enipeas waterfall from the parking area. The roads nearing the end was horrible so drive slowly. We saw a fox on our way back to Litochoro. There are also a couple of viewpoints of Litochoro and the coastal cities along the Aegean sea along the road. .

Es muss einmal ein prächtiges Kloster gewesen sein... Zerstört von den Deutschen... Leider ist noch nicht allzuviel davon wieder aufgebaut. Sehr eindrucksvoll 🚐🔔🔔🔔

Climbing mount Olympus is truly a once in a lifetime experience. These photos are from my first climb to "Οροπέδιο των Μουσών" with my friends. We are still discussing about the amazing fun and andventures we had.

Such cool history here on Mt. Olympus... Okay all you Greek Mythology fans out there. What can you tell me about Mount Olympus?! Would have been a five star, but the roads leading there are horrible. One of the worst i have ever been on.

This is one of my most favorite places all over the planet! Walking on the trails or just bathing in the seaside of Litochoron and looking at this mountain makes my heart dance :) . If you ever visit Greece, it is a must place to visit.

Mount Olympus has to offer everything a hiker needs. There are trails for all hike levels, short distance or long distance. Its location is unique cause you only need 10 minutes by car from the seafront to the first trails on the mountain. Also, the total of 12 mountain cabins/refugees have to offer decent warm food or drinks and a bed to lay over at night. You get to meet people from all around the world ascending or descending the mountain with a smile and a warm "hello" which makes the whole experience even better. I recommend a visit on the mountain to everyone!

An amazing area, unfortunately for me it was a bit raining and we weren't well equipped to reach the top as it's a bit snowy and having good equipment for it is needed. The first part is not difficult tho if you are in good condition but the climbing can be harsh for some
