Good and clean hotel. They do money exchange. I would stay here again if I'm in Nouakchott. Staff sometimes disappeared.

Big rooms, comfortable bed and a high building with a view of entire city. Breakfast needs a bit work 😂

Terrible Service, Unreliable and Overcharging clients. They were supposed to come to the airport to pick me up but they didn't send an email or anything information and didn't show up. I was there all alone at 0130 hrs. I had to borrow a phone from a local to call them and instead of apologising they simply said no we are not picking up. I had terrible stress in a new African countries without speaking the language at such time of the night. I had to pay 52$ to get to the hotel. Then they asked me to pay for the nights when the bookings wire already fully paid in advance. No one was able to speak reasonable level of English. The breakfast was very basic. Room was comfortable. I would NOT recommend anyone to stay here after what I went through.

There is a cafe on the top floor of the building with the best views in Nouakchott. You can go up there and get a coffee and take in the views of the large Saudi mosque and the rest of the city. Really recommend going here, best time is earlier morning when it is quiet.

This review is primarily aimed at the guests of tour companies. I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while on a tour and at least 1 other company stayed in this hotel so it appears to be common for tours to stay here.. Bottom line, ask your tour company to choose a different hotel. Let me list the reasons. 1. The "restaurant" did not have 90% of the food on the menu. This is not due to shortages in Nouakchot as there is plenty in the stores. One meal they claimed only to have chicken and rice and chiken tacos of their 4 page menu. 2. When they do have food the quality is very erratic. Their "chicken taco", something they consistently had, appears to be any leftovers they have lying around, but it was primarily french fries in side a wrap with a little chicken on the edge when I had it. For breakfast you can order eggs to go with the basic other food they give you, but only how they want to make them. One day it was a plain omlet, the next it was a boiled egg. You had no choice in the matter 3. The food takes a long time. It took over 1 hour for lunch and we were the only table of 6 3. They charge western prices. Washing was $25USD for 3 t shirts and 1 travel pants and they managed to lose an item in the process and claimed I must have lost it and were not willing to reimburse me. 4. The rooms are very inconsistent. 1 of 3 rooms was actually decent while the other 2 were not great, terrible AC (blew hot air only), bad beds. So if you do stay here and there is an issue, complain. The shower was good in 1 of 3 rooms. All 3 rooms were decent size. 5. The location is terrible. It's in the middle of dozens of cell phone stores. Convenience stores and restaurants are not close by. and at least 15 min walk or taxi 6. They have the audacity to charge $15 for water in the room when a store costs < $1. On that matter the rooms are meant to come with 2 bottle of water, they never did you always had to go to reception and then they would send it to yoru room. Sometimes they gave 250ml bottles and other times 750ml, Again it was random. 6. The staff say they will do something and then promptly do nothing 7. While we were waiting for our food it appeared that a staff member was watching adult content on his phone (accidentally he had the sound on full volume when it started to stream). On the positive side. There was a gym that had good AC and you could get a work out, the view was interesting, walking around the area once you got past the cell phones was vibrant (but interesting for 1 night not 3) Now before you think this is Nouakchott give it a break, think again. A mere 2-3 Km away on the main road towards the airport there are lots of great looking restaurants and convienece stores with nearby hotels. If you are here to see and experience "Mauritania", trust me you will get that when you travel to the desert. This hotel is overpriced, under serviced and the last thing you need before or after your adventure to the desert. Ask your tour operator for a different hotel before you even arrive the price difference, if any, will be negliable when added to the totla tour price.

It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed until now .. I arrived at night from a long trip.. The receptionist left and assigned the work to an untrained employee.. took me more than an hour to check in.. because he needed to call another employee on the phone to ask how can make a check-in .. Finally I got a room.. without a window and without electricity.. It's not a joke... It's true I asked to change the room..and he took more than half an hour to find another room... After all this trouble.. I got a room..but the air conditioner was broken and the TV was not working I gave up.. I want to sleep In the morning, I asked to check out.. The receptionist asked for a different price because I wanted to stay one day my Instead, 2 days The truth is that it is a horrific experience. If you like misery, try this place..

The room is big enough and the airconditon is heaven..lol. the bed is so comfortable. They have lovely breakfast and some nice food on the rooftop. The staff are very HELPFUL. When we need a taxi(well, there is no taxi in Mauritania period), they will call someone they know and pick you up at the entrance. Also, they help us to find a photocopier. The price is reasonable, including breakfast. They have parking area in front of the hotel, but we managed to park our bike in the basement, but it was a total mess. But at least we managed to park our bike safely. They accept cash and cards here. We recommend this place.

Although I didn't stay here, I read that this is the place to go for the best views of the city, and the workers were kind enough to let me go up to to the rooftop given that I'd get something from the cafe. I enjoyed some coffee and took in what is surely the best views of Nouakchott you can find. The views are spectacular on every side, from observing the sprawl into the Sahel to the downtown core and nearby large mosque.
