It
wasn't
until
the
day
we
checked
out
that
I
realized
who
are
giving
this
property
a
4
or
5
rating.
The
Manager
of
the
cottage
insists
the
guests
give
him
five
stars
as
a
result. It's
not
surprising,
people
do
it
to
get
him
off
their
backs.
The
same
thing
happened
to
us.
In
spite
of
this,
I
was
determined
to
write
the
review
after
I
returned
home,
thought
over
the
whole
experience
and
gave
an
unbiased opinion.
Every
review
contributes
to
someone
choosing
the
place
and
not
getting
value
for
money
is
disheartening.
Background
-
A
group
of
10
adults
wanted
a
good
peaceful place.
The
main
reason
we
chose
cottage
stay
was
to
enjoy
a
leisurely
time
without
being
constrained
by
restrictions.
The
entire
Seclude
Tara
Dale
cottage
was
booked
except
one
room,
from
6th
Jun
to
10th
June
I
have
categorized
my
reviews
and
experience
- Approach
-
They
will
share
the
location
with
you
prior
to
your
arrival. However,
to
find
out
where
exactly
it
is,
you
will
have
to
contact
the
Manager.
Dedicated
parking
is
available
for
guests
of
the
cottages.
Afterwards,
the
hike
descends
steeply.
It
takes
about
20
minutes.
Having
trekked
before
makes
it
a
cake
walk,
and
if
you've
done
the
trek
a
few
times,
you
will
be
able
to
handle
it.
However,
elderly
people
should
avoid
it.
The
trek
trail
is
very
narrow,
with
no
road,
only
a
stony
path.
Ambience
-
Surrounded
by
mountains,
the
cottage
has
a
beautiful
view.
The
porch
is
big
enough
to
host
a
party
or
simply
to
soak
up
the
sun.
An
adjacent
terrace
has
a
gazebo.
They've
planted
a
few
plants,
which
are
doing
well
on
their
own.
The
area
has
plenty
of
sitting
areas
to
enjoy
the
weather
and
valley
views.
The
outdoor
furniture
consists
of
iron
chairs
without
cushions.
So
you
gotta
watch
your
bum.
Rooms
-
We
had
five
rooms
to
ourselves. The
interiors
are
retro
style.
But
retro
wasn't
just
sufficient.
Generally
no
AC's
at
such
places,
but
either
the
weather
supports
it
or
the
fan.
Unfortunately,
we
weren't
supported
by
either.
The
fan
runs
at
the
highest
speed
of
2.
The
housekeeping
provided
a
pedestal fan.
The
beds
are
scary,
they
creek
in
the night.
If
one
moves
on
the
beds
the
other
one
has
to
wake
up.
The
pillows
will
give
you
a
cervical
and
backache. The
rooms
are
cleaned
to
the
bare
minimum.
The
staff
won't
change
anything
-
used
glasses,
towels,
etc.
until
you
have
made
an
effort
to
tell
them
daily.
The
dirt
and
the
flirt
is
swept
away
as
much
as
the
cleaning
boy
wants
to
do.
I
won't
be
nagging
for
cleaning
on
a
holiday.
Washrooms
-
They
are
clean.
No
shower,
one
bucket
and
one
mug.
Latchets
are
only
for
people
above 5'10
ft.,
towels
are
sandpaper.
The
interesting
part
was,
when
one
day,
the
WC
tank
exploded
in
the
washroom
of
one
of
our
rooms
in
the
middle
of
the
night.
Food
-
Food
is
average.
The
chef
there
can
cook
a
few
things
very
well, like
one
can
pin
point
out,
they
are
delicious.
Others
are
just
manageable.
The
breakfast was
good
for
only
two
days.
The
crockery
and
food
are
placed
on
a
separate
table,
and
you
are
asked
to
serve
yourself,
as
if
it
were
a
buffet.
While
they
don't
mention
it
anywhere
that
all
meals
will
be
buffet,
they
make
it
explicit
right
on
the
time
they
serve
you
first
meal.
Staff
-
They
are
always
eager
to
feed
you
and
move
on.
Oh
my!
How
lovely
isn't
it? But
they
made
it
like
an
albatross
around
our
neck.
The
flexibility
is
namesake.
The
staff
there
is
pushy
to
serve
and
leave.
I
felt
like
we
were
living
in
a
hostel,
where
the
warden
would
come
with
a
cane
if
we
didn't
follow
the
timings. The
entire
idea
of
staying
in
the
cottage
was
flexibility.
We
all
understand
we
can't
all
our
way,
we
were
mindful
of
the
timings,
but
man
seriously!
They
wanted
us
to
finish
dinner
by
9pm
and
breakfast
by
10am.
Overall
experience -
Never
going
back
to
this
place
ever
again,
neither
recommending
it
to
anyone.
Complete
waste
of
money,
time
&
experience.
