I found Kalmatia when looking for places for rejuvenation in the Himalayas. I booked my stay for 7 days in the cooling November weather. Check in: I reached very late in the evening but even then, I was greeted by a welcoming team that had stayed late to ensure I was appropriately checked in without wasting any time at all. Room: The room was beautiful. It was clean, cozy and warm with the fireplace set up to ensure I was immediately comfortable. In the morning, I was greeted to fantastic views of the Himalayas with all the prominent snow-covered peaks visible even from my bed. The sit out was fantastic for a cup of herbal tea with a view of the mountains. The stay was perfect. Treatment: After discussions with the doctor before arrival itself, I was asked to undergo the Panchkarma treatment that included a pre-treatment, the main virechana treatment and a post treatment regime over the 7 days. Everything was immaculate and arranged timely. The treatment included a morning dincharya treatment, followed by yoga in the beautiful solarium before the main day’s treatment programs were undertaken. The doctors were extremely proficient and ensured they educated you on every treatment that was being undertaken so one felt totally immersed in the process. Staff: The staff both at the rooms and the treatment center were exceptional. Professional and extremely courteous, they made one feel at home and every request was taken care of immediately. Pooja, the general manager requires special mention. From organizing my travel to the resort, following up daily to ensure I remained comfortable. The Kasar devi is walking distance from Kalmatia and Pooja even guided me through an excellent scenic walk up to the temple which was fantastic. Always with a smile, she took care of everything with extreme proficiency. Food: Sattvik and tasty, the food was exceptional. From Ragi rotis, ragi cookies, red wild rice, and tasty green vegetables, the abundant but scrumptious food did not disappoint. Overall: Superlatives don’t do the place justice. An absolute gem in the Himalayas where quiet, beauty, comfort and professionalism in equal measure provide for an unforgettable stay. Whether you are looking just for some quiet, peace and rejuvenation, or a more formal treatment for extended periods, the place takes your breath away on every count and I cannot recommend this place enough. There is no doubt I will go back again and again.

I came to this centre first time and it is a beautiful resort cum ayurvedic wellness retreat centre. Oil massage and therapy are very relaxing and after treatment I really felt rejuvenated and relaxed. Cottages were very nice, comfortable and spacious. The snow peaked himalayan view from our cottage was really amazing and breathtaking. Staff is very polite and cooperative. Food is also very delicious and outstanding. Overall it was superb stay and could surely recommend that this is a right place for relaxing and rejuvenation. MUST VISIT.

This is a great place for rejuvenating your mind and body. The staff is extremely hospitable. Doctors give you ample time and answer all your questions. Yoga teacher, the therapists, support staff, all were really nice. And a really peaceful place, so close to nature. An absolutely calming 8 days.

Neselted in the mighty Himalayas with surreal flora and fauna, Kalmatia AyurVAID Hospital is treat for the body, mind and soul! All treatments and medicines are administered in the most authentic ayurvedic traditional way. The entire staff and doctors took utmost care just like family, there warmth and sincerity to their work made the whole experience even more wonderful. The food was freshly cooked with mild spices just apt for the treatment. Our 10 day treatment at Kalmatia was very amazing. This place has a healing energy.

We had an absolutely amazing experience at Ayurvaid. The rooms were spacious and spotless, with great décor and crisp bed sheets. The meals were delicious, considering our BCA by the doctor ! The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. The treatment part was flawless and absolutely releaving. All the therapies delivered were as per the guidelines and a significant outcome was seen during the discharge . We would be definitely visiting the centre again with our families . The resort is a visionary experiment, providing luxurious rejuvenation to city weary people like us. I experienced a 2 kg weight drop in just two days, while my wife had a much healthier knee as a result of our stay there. The staff is professional and helpful. I have a suggestion to bring more clarity to communication regarding the services and prices of those. As such an investment in terms of time and money becomes less satisfactory, when such issues crop up during the stay, as also get maximum benefits out of the stay there. Overall, a big thumbs up.
