Spectacular falls after a long walk..4 view points..Around a total of 400 steps until the last view point, has both steps & walk way..Worth the effort.. We were fortunate to view a Rainbow alongside the falls. Must visit and surely recommend this place to family and friends

A very nice place, many people call it KEPPA JOGA its actually True, the roaring sound of the falls is really amazing.. Visit on clear sunny day otherwise it would be difficult to see the falls because of the fog and water fog created by falls. Visitors have thrown the garbage in many places, please avoid such things, Forest department has kept Dustbin in many places use them and Try to keep this beautiful place clean so our next generation could enjoy as we have.. πŸ™πŸΌπŸ™‚

Morning 10am to 3:30pm trekking. You need to carry lunch, sufficient water for drinking to trek bottom of water falls. 45 minutes down word and 1:30 minutes to come back from the falls. While return from falls you need break and water. Apply pain killer to your legs night Otherwise you will suffer in morning. It hurts little. Be careful while playing in water. The river is full of big and small stones. You cannot find normal surface of earth.

Unchalli falls is yet another marvellous place! You need to travel for nearly 25+ kms from the main road to reach this place. As usual the roads are narrow and reaching falls would take at least an hour. Lots of deviations - be careful to follow the direction or use google offline maps. There is enough parking space. You need to walk at least 1 km from parking space to reach falls. But to have a clear and fantastic view, you need to climb down 300 steps that are very steep. There are couple of view points before reaching the final one. Once you reach the final view point, the view is amazing and you feel happy for the effort put in reaching the spot. Be in groups as the place is isolated. There is also a small shop just in case if you need water and other refreshments!

Marvellous and extremely dreadful 😍 I have not witnessed such a majestic waterfall from this close πŸ˜πŸ˜… Its insanly beautiful and at the same time gets chill down from the spine while witnessing this natures wonder sole alone. This falls is well connected by road and google map shows the correct direction - I had followed the route map from Chandragutti (Banavasi) and need to climb down or hike in off road about 700-800 mtrs till the view point. There are multiple view points , One at the immediately when steps ends and there are couple if you climb down little further about 200-300 steps again. Note: No shops were there when visited, so better carry your food and drinks. Also No restrooms or drinking water facility. Do not litter and keep nature clean and peaceful.

Wow.. Truly a hidden gem. Visited during monsoon and Aghanishini makes a thunderous jump and the mist creates a beautiful rainbow!! There are multiple viewing decks at various levels to enjoy the waterfall. The last viewing deck(and the best one to view the waterfall) is almost 250 steps down from the first viewing deck. It's worth going down for it. Though it was tiring to walk back up, the experience was great. A definite recommend to go down if one can. The first viewing deck is around 400 metres away from the entrance point. One can walk down the slope or take the adjoining stairs. Charges were very nominal. Entry fee 10 rs per person and 40 for car park. Visited on a Sunday afternoon and was quiet surprised that it was not crowded. There's a toilet near the first viewing deck but it was not in a usuable condition. Airtel doesn't work in the place. Only BSNL and Jio works.

Mesmerizing Waterfalls in Sirsi... Good amount of water was there even during the month of January. There are 3 viewpoints here to watch Unchalli Waterfalls. Many steps are there to reach the last viewpoint. 20-25 mins walking is required.

I've been to so many waterfalls but this one is kind of unique in it's own way. Water spreads out in an angle when falling from a height and looks amazing. There is almost a Km walk to this falls. There are 3 to4 view point before you reach the final view point. I talk to some of the locals. They said we can go to the bottom of the water fall by visiting around 8 in the morning as to cover 4km one side. We were late so we just saw the falls from the view. Entry fee is 10rs/person.

A surreal and awesome place to visit when in Sirsi. It has a decent amount of water even in peak summer. However the walk especially to the third view point is quite daunting right from the parking spot. Though it's worth it, you may have to rethink if you have infants, small kids, or elderly.

Best during the rainy season. It's best when u walk down the stairs rather than the top view point. It's just mesmerizing and beautiful. Need to walk for 1.5 km.There is an option of stairs also.

Very beautiful waterfalls. Have to trek around 1-1.5 km and after reaching you have to go down through steps for 100-200 meters for better view. Not recommended for old people since there is a lot of walking and going up and down the stairs involved. Other people enjoy.

One of the beautiful waterfalls. The area is very calm and you can spend some hours listening to the sound of waterfalls. You have to walk around 300-400 steps to reach the last view point. One small shop is available at the entrance near the vehicle parking lot. Better to carry drinking water with you.

This waterfall is a must visit when you are around sagara. From the entry point, you need to walk for 400 meters and the first view can be spotted. Then you need to climb down few steps to get close to the waterfall. The view is mind boggling and can spend some quality time looking at it. Please do not litter the place.

Unchalli Falls is a popular destination for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts alike. What makes this waterfall truly special is the way River Aghanashini gracefully drops 116 meters, creating a magnificent cascade of water that is simply breathtaking. There are two ways to experience the magic of Unchalli Falls. You can either admire it from the viewing deck, where you can take in the panoramic view and capture some stunning photographs. But if you're feeling a bit more adventurous, you can also hike down the steps and get up close and personal with the foot of the waterfalls. Trust me, the feeling of standing so close to the majestic force of nature is absolutely exhilarating! If you're planning a visit, I highly recommend going after the monsoon season. This is when Unchalli Falls is at its most spectacular, with the water gushing down with immense power and creating a mesmerizing display of nature's might. It's truly a sight that will make your heart skip a beat!

Amazing viewpoint and a mesmerizing huge waterfalls. It needs to trek down for around 1 kilometres. Monsoon and post monsoon times are ideal time to visit. Beware of leeches if you are visiting during monsoon time.

We went in a time when there was cyclone going on, so the climate was amazing. There was fog, mist and just drizzles and everything around us was lush green. During the time we went to the falls there was literally no tourists apart from our family. From the entrance gate ,till first view point you have to walk through jungle , it actually gave me feeling of walking through deep jungles of western ghats. When we reached the first view point, we couldn't see anything because of the mist, so we had to wait for some time for the mist to clear up. But from first view point only little sight of falls could be seen. So we decided to go further down to 2nd view point, again because of the mist we were happy whenever the falls would show even a little bit. Later on after nearly climbing down for 500-700 steps , we came to the final view point where you could see the falls clearly. We were wonderstruck by how huge the falls was and the sound of falls itself is a little scary as you can hear nothing and no one is around with mists and fog covering up everything. No wonder they say as beautiful as it seems western ghats is actually mysterious in its own way. Few tips -- 1) Visit the falls with more people for safety purposes 2) elderly people should avoid going down the falls as the walk is more than 1km back and forth ,and the sounds of falls can be a bit scary 3) carry waterbottles, snacks , energy drinks with u. 4) Be careful of leeches That's all , happy trekking:)

In monsoon, the views are breathtaking. Though nothing is visible due to heavy fall creating mist/fog but you get little glimpse of waterfall that is mesmerising. Be aware of leeches.

Its a feast to nature lovers. The waterfall is a splendour and great to watch. We have to walk for about a mile to reach the view point. There is no way to reach the base of waterfall as it is too deep. Coming back to the parking place is really crazy here. Those who are having health issues are not advised to go down as they may have difficulties in climbing back

Its one of the beautiful waterfalls. To see the breathtaking view of the falls, we have to walk for 15m. It's advisable to visit on non-rainy days.

One of the beauty I have ever seen in my life, falls are so big and mesmerizing.. and the trek in the jungle is awesome. Find some time to visit Unchalli falls. We have planned for jog falls from Banglore, from talaguppa we hired a car and went to see unchalli falls and it's worth it.

Hidden gem in uttar kannada. It's a natural wonder this waterfall. We visited in October, it had plenty of water. Has 3 viewpoints. A bit remote, aound 15 km from main road, but worth the detour. Must visit if you are around Sirsi.

Visit during monsoon season, this falls is massive and beautiful. Water droplets of the falls will drizzle on you at the viewing point. Only problem is, for elderly people it will be difficult to reach the viewing point as you will have to walk for 1-2 kms from parking area and the pathway leading to it is kinda steep. You will feel little out of breath.

One of the best waterfall in karnataka. Need to walk a little bit to reach the view spot. Rainy season is best to visit this place and little slippery steps do check out for them.

Found this way better than Jog falls, TBH! But unfortunately we went when there was a lot of fog. But the flow was very strong. And just standing there felt really really good! There's a little bit of trekking about 500mts, takes like 5-10 minutes at max. Can take kids too, there's a stage like structure built at 3 levels as you keep going lower. The lowest one down not have a covering, the other two do, that's good to know when it's raining.

A very beautiful experience that I can never forget. A must see place for all the Waterfall lovers. A place that can be visited during any season providing a unique experience across different seasons. Need to walk around 1km and there are many scenic places for photography. You can explore the entire 1km and can capture many photos on the way to waterfall. There are 3 different view points at different elevations and I would recommend to visit all the view points for the best experience. Journey from Sirsi to Unchali is also a beautiful experience with some good landscapes.

  • 5/5 CA Ankita M. 2 years ago on Google
Much better than Jog falls I would say. There are 3 layers of viewpoint to this falls. I would suggest going to the 3rd level (last one). The view is breathtaking and you actually feel the drops of water coming on your face.

This is a good tourist spot for viewing the unchalli waterfalls. Entrance fees and parking for two wheelers is 30rs in total. They have steps to climb down and up, just like viewing jog falls. 300 to 400 steps. Easily covered in an hour. There is a nearby shop at the entrance for snacks, cold drinks etc.

Powerful and wonderful waterfalls. One of the highest waterfalls in Karnataka. As per me best time to visit is not in monsoon time. During monsoon as the flow of water is heavy you can’t step down to the pond of falls, only you can see it from the top or far view points. Best time visit is from Dec to Beginning of monsoon

  • 5/5 Shanid M. 2 years ago on Google
Ooh the best the magnificent beauty inside forest. Best time to visit is post monsoon. September & October. Drizzle and rainbow 🌈 makes the waterfall so special. Loved it..
