I chose this place because it had an incredible number of 5 star reviews. The service was adequate and the atmosphere was pleasant. The food was insultingly bad. Have a look through the photos to see how inconsistently the sushi was cut. The rice was was sticky and clumpy, caused by overworking the rice when mixing in the sushi-su. Most horrendously, the eel was accompanied with hoisin sauce (commonly used with duck), rather than the very simple 4 ingredient authentic sauce. The price was quite insane taking this into consideration, and is why I describe the food as an insult. The only redeeming factor with the food was that the fish tasted fresh.

I really wanted to give 5 stars for the food, but I've eaten sushi outside of Greece and this falls short on imagination and execution.

Me and my partner came here because we also saw that it had an extremely high review...almost too high we had to try it. i think now these may be self reviews. there was nothing that upset me about the place but it is by no means a 4.9* if i had to criticise or compliment it, here would be my comments: - mojito cocktail was done in 1 sip (alot of ice and no liquid) - sushi didn't look completely appetising - edamame beans were cold on plus side, Sashimi Salmon was the best i've ever had.

This place is awesome! They have The Best spicy tuna rolls I have ever tasted. Everything was fresh, service was excellent. I was there on vacation and I can 100% say it is well worth the visit.

We ate last night in Sakura. 2 couples. First impression that it provides a sense of protection against COVID by allowing spacious table arrangement. Second impression that everything related to fish is very fresh. I have not felt this in other places. For a starter we had a salad with Wakame seaweed with unagi, caviar & eel sauce. Very nice intro to what was going to follow. We had a selection of nigiri (calamari, shrimp, tuna, salmon) by the chef that was very tasteful. Other dishes with eel (nigiri) , bluefin tuna (sashimi), scallops and rolls with tempura shrimp. We ordered some of them twice once they were very good. We accompanied these by ATMA white whine and a "New York" type cheesecake. Friendly service and discrete covered whatever we asked for. The conclusion is that this is Value for Money. The taste and freshness of the dishes could be paid multiple times in another restaurant in Athens.

The food is amazing and the chef is extremely knowledgeable of Japanese food and culture. They make great steaks as well. The service was good and we liked a lot the atmosphere too. No complaints at all. Very glad we found this place!

This place is a 10 out of 10, this should definitely be your first meal stop in Athens! Friendly staff, warm atmosphere and the food was just amazing, you can really feel the high quality ingredients they use! We ordered the Scallops (They are raw and a must try!!), the chicken and a shrimp tempura roll and later added the tuna tataki just to try more of this amazing menu. Thank you for a lovely dining experience :)
