Mildreds Kings Cross

Restaurant Bar Brunch restaurant Lunch restaurant Vegan restaurant

👍👍 One of the first vegan restaurant experiences I have had in London and it didn't disappoint. The crispy tofu main and chick'n kebabs were incredible, I actually thought the chicken substitute tasted better than the real deal. The service was a little slow but apart from that it was a great all round... People often mention vegan, staff, great, good, service, friendly, nice, recommend, lovely, delicious,

Mildred's never disappointed. Our last visit post covid was no exception. Things sometimes as simple as nachos take a new dimension there, when they prepare it with mangoes! It's audacious veggie food and a great place to take someone curious about vegetarianism or simply have a banging meal.

A friend suggested we go here and I was pleasantly surprised. It’s a Vegan cafe and the breakfast was really tasty with lots of great flavors. The staff were very warm and welcoming. The bathrooms were also very good. Would definitely go again!

Good location, easy to get to with available app. metered, street parking. This Mildreds is spacious compared to the others I've experienced. The staff is friendly and professional. The food was well prepared, good presentation and tastes absolutely decadent ! 3 👍🏻👍🏽👍🏿THUMBS UP!😋

Early lunch with reservation before train boarding. Had the tortellini in leek cream sauce, carrot slaw & couple glasses of wine and a hummus to-go. Attentive staff and kitchen, cool vibe, restrooms accessible.

Absolutely loved the service, the food and the ambience! The staff were super friendly making my day even more special after finding out it’s my birthday. I celebrate my birthday today away from home (Fiji) and family but Mildreds surely made it all so special. The best part is that it’s literally across the road from me and now I can’t wait to try everything on the menu. A special shoutout to the staff in pink at Kings Cross this evening, (I couldn’t get her name) I loved her energy! 🌸🧿✨

Honestly, we went to this restaurant not having any expectations and it was one of the best places for vegetarian and vegan food around. The prices are not the cheapest but every penny is worth it. This has a pretty inside and a nice atmosphere to dine in. Would highly recommend it if you are looking for a nice treat!

Nice airy open space which I prefer to the more enclosed space of Soho Mildred’s. Have been to Camden and Soho restaurants several times, always great food and here was no different. My meat-eating friends enjoyed it, and even with the reduced menu because of covid there is still a range of great options for such a relatively small menu. I had the chick’n burger with fries and the chocolate brownie, both of which were amazing, and the rose martini was also tasty. Friendly and chilled vibe, staff helpful and friendly, my favourite veggie restaurant for sure!

This is the first time that I understand why Mildreds have generally so good reviews. During the years, I have eaten in their branches several times but have always left being disappointed. But not today! Hoisin tofu mushroom pho and Kashmiri cauliflower were both extremely delicious. In particular I'm impressed by the glazed tofu as it happens very rarely that tofu is cooked well. But here it was amazing! Big portions, very good service. Nothing bad to say about food or service. Music is too loud like in many places but apart from that, this is the first time that I can truly recommend Mildreds.

Best burger I’ve ever had!! Even better than chain burger restaurants. Not oily and crispy, tasted surprisingly like real chicken. Crispness of deep fried food is an important part of my rating, and the burger reached it. The chips on the other hand was quite soggy, maybe it’s because I had these takeaway, but even the taste of the chips I just feel like I won’t order chips again. But overall, it’s a really nice restaurant with great service(cute note on the takeaway bag), I recommend it and will definitely ordering again!

Delicious soul bowl and a mocktail. The flavours are wonderful and refreshing. I think it must be my fifth or sixth visit. Have tried other dishes but have a tendency to go for the soul bowl. Healthy food and fast, friendly service.

Friendly staff, quick service and reasonable prices for London. Creative vegan dishes. Ambience isn’t great, it’s quite noisy and very crowded. We’ve tried the kebabs which were delicious, and the Ruben burger - a bit disappointing as it wasn’t very flavoursome; the chips that came with it were excellent though. We also had cocktails which were nice, and a dessert to share (carrot cake sticky toffee), which was a bit disappointing; the cake itself was lovely but the caramel sauce and the cream cheese chantilly weren’t very nice; fortunately you can get a voucher for a free dessert by signing up to the newsletter! Overall a good experience however I wouldn’t go for a burger next time.

Visited Mildred's at Kings Cross for dinner with a group of friends. The vibe of the place is amazing, with very friendly staff. The food was amazing. There was a lot of fries with the burgers and we had ordered a separate portion of fries as well, so we ended up with wayy too much fries. I loved the fried rice, though I needed to add a little salt to it. The tiramisu looks great and tasted good, but not like a tiramisu at all! I would recommend the creme brulee instead.

Excellent food!! Came here my first day in London and definitely want to go back. Got the “Roman artichokes” which came with crispy herb polenta, aioli, soft herbs, radish and broad beans. So so good. The polenta was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. (However don’t be fooled since I think it was plain polenta not herb polenta.) Loved the aioli that went with it - I could eat just that and the polenta on its own!! Didn’t like the herbs so much but that’s more of a personal taste. One of the summer specials was the “Baja banana blossom tacos” with tempura nori batter, blue corn tortillas, mango salsa, pineapple ketchup. Loved this as well. I was definitely wowed by tempura banana blossoms, although could have done with a little less tempura batter. The pineapple ketchup was sooooo good too and really balanced the heat from the salsa. For dessert I got the caramel cheesecake with blackberry coulis and salted caramel popcorn. I’m still dreaming about this! The cheesecake was so creamy and smooth. Wasn’t too sweet either.

Genuinely pleasantly surprised! I'm an avid meat eater and only came because a vegetarian colleague was leaving. I ordered a "Chicken" burger and was impressed when it actually tasted kinda like chicken, the sweet potato fries were good too. I'm not about to give up meat but this showed me the options for those who prefer to stroke rather than consume animals is getting better like way way better. I'd recommend for vegans n veggies alike.

Excellent experience. Great quality, friendly service and really relaxed experience with no pressure to eat and free up the table, which gave me and cousin loads of time to catch up without stress from the staff. Had the 'chicken' skewer and banana pancakes.

Mildreds is such a great vegan go to. I've always been able to turn up for dinner and get a seat. We were seated at the bar as we hadn't booked, but it was comfortable for me, I couldn't smell alcohol and it felt clean. I had the korean burger and sweet potato fries. The portions were perfect. I can't stop thinking about the sweet potato fries, it's great that the menu changes, but this is something that just remain a staple. We had the passionfruit with schezuan drink which was nice. It mostly tasted of passionfruit. My friend ordered the chik*n kebabs, which the waiter recommended as one of his faves on the menu. Can't wait to go again

Great plant based restaurant that is highly recommended for brunch. The pancakes were divine and scrambled tofu is a must try! You are ushered away from your table quite quickly once you’ve finished your meal, which is understandable considering how busy this place is.

I’m starting to realize why London is ahead of Berlin when it comes to vegan options and overall tastier dishes. It might be slightly more pricey, but it is really worth it. I ordered food via delivery and everything came intact. I liked everything in my order, but I wish I had time to personally visit the restaurant.

Had a wonderful birthday meal at Mildreds. There was a great selection of vegan food, drinks and desserts. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The two small plates we had were very unique and tasty. The mains we ordered we found to be a bit bland and simple, quite expensive for some vegetables and rice so probably would just stick to the small plates next time. But overall, a very lovely place to eat in London for vegans and non vegans

Thank you Lauren, Danila, Shachar, Antonio and the whole Mildred's Kings Cross team for giving my daughter the best graduation celebration we could ask for. Our family and friends were very happy with their mains and the desserts were just fabulous. It is not easy to plan a lunch for a party of 15; I am grateful to you all for your speedy response to my booking request, your attentiveness to our dietary requirements, and your quick response to all of my questions in the lead up to the big day. It gave me great peace of mind! We had a lovely table, the food was served quickly, the portions were very generous, and we ate it all! I didn't see any leftovers on anyone's plate! Only a few requests to take dessert home because we were so full. The Kings Cross Team serving us were very attentive, very kind and very accommodating. We felt very welcomed and well taken care of. The graduation was a wonderful occasion and Mildred's Kings Cross played a big role in making it extra special. Many thanks again!

A very cosy restaurant, a short walk from King's Cross. The food is tasty, and although I am not a vegan, I am always interested in how the food is improving and to ween myself off meat. The food is every bit as good as meat equivalents, and the ambience of the restaurant is relaxing. The only gripe I have is that the seating is relatively crammed together to maximise profit, which doesn't make for a great date, as you have to lower your voice if you don't want to be heard by the next table.

This was a really good lunch! We went there with my coworkers and had the opportunity to try pretty much everything as we wanted to share. I personally really loved the roasted cauliflower and the passion fruit cheesecake. My coworkers’ favorite desert was the chocolate one (the one with the cream to be poured) - almost unanimously selected. Bon appétit !

Been wanting to try here for ages and it certainly met my expectations. So good we went for lunch one day then back for breakfast the next morning. Service was super speedy and all the food arrived very quickly, beautifully presented and so so delicious. Vegan heaven! Also good allergen awareness.

The food has improved a lot since I visited years ago, dishes are really good and more refined and healthier! However I feel there is almost no space in between tables, as if they placed too many for the space they have making it a bit uncomfortable, each time I had to stand up to go to the toilet I would hit the table next to us. Other than that everything is really nice there!

Really lovely place, with incredible vegan food. I'm not vegan but this was not a problem at all! A few errors with orders for us and adjacent tables but staff were apologetic and quick to rectify mistakes. Really nice atmosphere, just a short walk from King's Cross.

Nice selection of food. Was a bit surprised with the buns as for some reason was expecting a bao bun but that’s my own fault. Cocktails were nice. Staff were really attentive and friendly. Great experience. It’s a bit busy and crowded in evenings but still decent nonetheless.

After visiting Mildreds Kings Cross previously, we decided to return for our group booking of 20 people following our ceremony at Camden Town Hall, just a short walk down the road. It was again the most delicious meal, all our guests thoroughly enjoyed the Vegan menu, it was served really well by the service staff, the food was perfect, fresh, tasty and hot. Mildreds now have some more fans (even the carnivores that attended our day). Danila and her staff were very attentive attending to us with drinks and our meal courses. Just delicious, the flavours, ingredients, consistency and friendly staff is what sets Mildreds above other restaurants. Love it and will be back very soon!! Thank you so much Danila and to all your staff & see you soon. Highly recommend just about everything on their menu :) XX My previous review before the booking for our group of 20: Booked dinner at Mildreds Kings Cross yesterday & feel compelled to give this review. We had a choice of eating inside the atmosphere was great but we chose the terrace as the weather was so nice. The vegan menu was vast & interesting. We had the tortellini & heirloom tomatoe & melon salad starters which were fresh & delicious, the ch'kin kebabs & korean kimchi ch'kin was amazing with such lovely flavours, great portion sizes, presentation was fantastic & great attentive service, the service staff were efficient, friendly, welcoming & asking for any allergens. The deserts were so delicious passion fruit cheesecake with tasty crumbs, with black sesame tuille, edible flowers so photo worthy, the Cherry Spritz cocktails were stunning, they totally hit the spot, just the nicest spritz cocktail on a warm evening with decorative edible flowers, definitely be back & will try their other branches. Antonio the manager was so lovely & attentive & his team were great too. Highly recommend!

4 of us came along to Mildred's, as 1 of the 4 was Vegan. Personally I'm a steak and chips kinda guy, so this was all very new to me. Have to say, the food, textures, and tastes were wonderful. Heard so much about Mildred's so I have decided to come and try it for myself. As I don't eat onion or garlic, I was thankful that they had a separate menu for that, albeit the limited options available. The tofu and plantain were delicious. The rice was also really tasty, as it had a creamy coconut taste. However, I must say that I wasn't a big fan of the mint (I am assuming that it was mint) in the salad (taste is subjective).

have been wanting to visit this branch since trying the Soho one a few years back, and today we did it. absolutely delicious food, attentive service, & wonderful atmosphere. didn't know what to expect, this being one of our first meals out post lockdown, but these guys were top notch (taking hygienic measures to great standards without compromising on vibe and user experience)

Usually I am raving, but not today. I had the Soul Bowl. Lots of greenery, which I don't remember from previous occasions, mushrooms whole instead of being chopped into the dish. The worst was the extremely salty taste. I managed to eat most of it but wish I had sent it back. I was told it was the sauce and I should ask for it separately next time. Also asked for more water, which didn't come until we asked another waitress. The social distancing was handled well.

Really lovely place!! Had a veggie chicken burger+ sweet potato fries, would recommend to anyone!! I wish I was eating it again right now... Nice inside as well, lovely interior. They do temperature checks on the door which I thought was very responsible Service was a tiny bit slow, but they might have been short staffed or there's extra stuff to do cause of covid

I have mixed reviews about Mildreds. Firstly they use a lot of soy in their food which I don’t think is great and also the menu doesn’t change much...I think it’s better during winter when they add more home comfort style meals like sausage and mash plus gnocchi...I do love the Sri Lanka curry and plant based peanut dessert, both are delicious. I don’t really like much else on the menu....would love to see it changed up a bit with more gluten and soy free options.

An early hiccup in the evening slightly startled us and our waitress (Lucy): we agreed to start over and after that all went well. The food wasn't the main reason we were here but it was excellent. Definitely noticed. I was responsible only for the tip: it's the 21st century, and ladies can choose how an evening ends. Find a man to clear up the towels in the gents. That's it.

The team worked above and beyond to make sure we were safe but it felt 'normal' which was exactly what we needed. Everything was so clean, sanitised constantly and just felt safe. Even in covid, it felt a normal setting. Thank you Tony and team! Will definitely be returning.

As a co-opted veggie I have been led to understand the poor menu selections and limited availability of good veggie food at most establishments.....not here ! We had a family party of 10 on Saturday night and added a friend at the last moment ( no problem) ! Staff couldn't have been better and the food was simply fantastic. Varied tasteful and well presented. It's not cheap it's not expensive but it is a fantastic place for great veggie food . Highly recommended 👌 Jim says the food was good 👍

Mildred's is by far the best vegan restaurant in London. The entire menu is vegan, including alternative milk options for tea and coffee where oat milk is the default option. Hugo our host was fabulous and looked after us so well, making superb suggestions. We all agree Mildred's will be our new go to restaurant when in their neighbourhood.

I was recommended Mildred’s by various vegetarian and vegan friends so decided to try it a few weeks ago. The food was delicious, not just what I ordered but all the plates and cocktails around us looked delicious!! Prices are fair and the menu options are also very good, little bit of everything I would say, tempeh, sweet potatoes, spicy, not-spicy, etc... Service staff are attentive, quick and friendly. -1 star just because in my opinion, Pentonville Rd branch ambient wasn’t anything surprising for me after so many recommendations. Tables distribution looked a bit messy and my table was pretty uncomfortable (little table for two squeezed in a corner right next to another table for two separated with a ugly plexi glass...) decoration was also nothing special and music was a bit loud, gives the place a little bit of a fast food spot which is shame.

The kebabs are great, just a bit stingy with the Chickn! For £14, I’d expect something a little more generous. If not more than 4 small pieces of chickn, more of the grains please. The Fauxrerro fudge cake is pleasant, very rich so the small portion is perfect. The staff are nice. The restaurant is really small and really packed, so do be prepared for being able to hear everyone’s conversations.

As a non-vegan visiting this place, I absolutely loved everything about it. Started off with the hummus and pita. Safe to say that it is the best hummus I have tried thus far. Then had some Al Pastor tacos and I did not miss the meat. They were quite similar to the original. The Tricky Bear cocktail was very yum as well. As if the food hadn't conquered enough, I had a lovely waiter with the name of Clara Robles. Highly recommend Mildreds King's Cross. Will be returning soon!

Our waiter Clara was very pleasant and attentive throughout the evening! Will definitely be returning :)

Tasty fancy appetizers! Had a green smoothie, 2 small dishes, truffles, and a coffee. Feeling not overly heavy but full, after. Won’t be having their coffee again, not just because their latte is effectively a cappuccino, it wasn’t my taste. Will maybe try the matcha latte next time. The artichoke dish was lovely and filling. Primavera salad also beautiful. Truffles were perfection. Overall a flavorful meal and picturesque as well.

They have nice cocktails. The vegan chicken burger is really impressive, I can't tell it's not chicken if eat it without knowing. Vegan mayo is like magic, how come it is just like the real one? Dumplings are good too, poke bowl is using a type of rice which makes you feel like extra healthy.

One of the best vegan places I've ever tired! The food is lovely, I had three starters, a main and dessert because I just couldn't get enough of all of that goodness. I strongly recommend the artichokes. The staff is so friendly and nice, service is very quick. I had such a lovely time. I will definitely be back!

Checked the Google, then got recommendation from the hostel staff and here I was :) Amazing staff, warm welcome, cool atmosphere. When I had my first coffee, my day had already been made. But then I had harisa bap and it was even better. So I couldn't stopon it and treated myself with creme broulé. What a heaven! Really recommended!

Amazing experience! The staff is really lovely & attentive (we booked for the wrong day but could still get a table when we showed up)! The starters (gyoza & an epic crunchy spinach pastry) were fantastic! The main (spicy tempeh with noodles) was good and the desserts (creme brulee & snickers cake) were really delicious! The cocktails were so pretty - with a very nice touch for Pride month 😍🙏 Highly recommend a visit ♥️

a nice and fancy place that is fully vegan. when I arrived the place was quite packed so maybe it's advice to order a table up front. I took the Crème brûlée and for a drink, I picked the Forest fruit Bellini (with no alcohol) the drink was nice, remind me of sparkling wine and the creme brulee was ok, it was creamy and came with cookie crumbles and rasberry jam on the side but it was missing the crunchy crust that creme brulee is known for. the service was nice but I wanna mention they do not get cash.. only credit card which is not convenient for tourists/

One of the best vegan restaurants I have ever eaten at. We got the kimchi chicken sandwich and mango chicken skewers. Both were fantastic. The sandwich was probably the best vegan sandwich I have ever eaten. We also brought our meat eating friends and they loved it. The staff was also extremely friendly and fun. I wish we were staying longer so we could go back. I highly recommend this place!

I went there spontaneously on Monday evening and got a table outside, which was fine because it was warm. I was dining alone but still service made me feel very comfortable. Service in general was very friendly and quick. From being seated to getting my food not even 15 minutes passed. The food selection was great. I liked that it was not too obvious from the card that everything is plant-based but the focus is more on amazing food. I ordered the Mercimek Kofte and some whipped avocado cream. The food was hands down the best vegan meal I‘ve ever had! I wish it could be always like that. Including water I paid around 20 pounds. I will definitely come back. Keep up the great work!

I have come to Mildreds many times over the last 3 years or so. All branches are lovely, a favourite restaurant of mine and I always visit this particular branch when I come back to London to see a friend. About time I left a review to say how incredible everything is from the atmosphere to the incredible vegan food, to the wonderful staff. Today Ola was a lovely server, and really helped me out when I ordered something far too spicy for my baby tastes! Thank you for not making me feel more embarrassed and getting me something I could better enjoy!

Looking for a place to eat at 21:30 on a Monday night, without a reservation could be difficult! They reserve quite a few of the tables here for walk ins though, so there was a table for us. Service was quick, staff were friendly and knew the menu, and what to recommend, and the whole menu is vegan, so if you're vegan or veggie, you can eat everything:)

Super happy that Mildred’s are now fully plant based! The menu is so varied and divine! Loved all the food we ordered!😋 We were told that they had run out of skin on fries so we ordered sweet potato fries…they brought our one skin on fries and two sweet potato ones. There is a suggested seating of 1.5 hours but they didn’t rush us as there weren’t many people waiting. I would definitely recommend this Mildred. Staff were friendly too.❤️

Mildred's was my favorite food find in London! Healthy and hearty. I went twice in 3 days. The fried artichoke appetizer is a can't-miss, and the sticky toffee pudding was both light and decadent at the same time! I enjoyed my entrees: a mushroom tempeh noodle dish and a crunchy and delicious bowl (the freshly pickled beets were a highlight!). The staff was informative, friendly, and attentive! Would definitely go again next time I'm in London (maybe more than once)!

Conveniently close to KGX, has a warm and welcoming atmosphere and entirely is entirely plant-based! Serves very tasty and well presented food with drinks to compliment too. The staff are very kind, friendly and attentive. Highly recommended and will be popping in when I'm in the area again!

I’d eat here every single day if I could! Absolutely love the breakfast and dinner menus. There’s a great variety to choose from, with gorgeous presentation and friendly service. Even if you’re not vegan you’ll love it.

Decided to try Mildreds as suggested by a friend who is a vegan despite having my reservations about it, I decided let’s see what the hype is! I was greeted by Antonio who was absolute charming and very accommodating to me, he accompanied me to a window table where I waited for my friend (who’s birthday it was)! I ordered a drink a mocktail and it was absolutely refreshing and lovely to drink! We ordered starters, main and dessert! I made super sure I had room for desserts of course 🤣🤣🤣. We choose the spinach gyozas, hummus and olives for starters. Our mains was the chicken kebabs with rice and a side of sweet potato fries and a side of coconut salad 🥗which I must say was delicious and tasted sooooo good! Trying to find the appropriate words to describe the food @ Mildred’s….it was absolutely sensational! As an occasional meat eater I was totally surprised at the alternatives to meat/fish options. Mildreds IS a MUST to try and allow your tastebuds to go on a vegan extravaganza journey! Our food was SOOOO good that we will back next week! Couldn’t finish the chocolate cake however I’m certain it WILL all go down when I next have it 🤣🤣🤣. We was delivered fantastic service by the staff, food came in good time enough to get our stomach prepared for what was about too come! I’ll definitely put Mildred’s up there with along some of my favourite restaurants to go too. Thank you for making my friend’s birthday special with the candle in the cake 💯💯. Now you read my review along with several others, go and book that table and try Mildred’s for your own sake!!

One of my absolute go-to places in London for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Mildred’s is a fully vegan/plant-based restaurant and everything I have had there is just incredible. The restaurants are all so lovely and the staff is very nice. The dishes are all so creative, with multiple layers of flavour and texture, wholesome, moreish and decadent. My regular order is a stack of banana and caramel pancakes, which I always get on the first morning of every London trip I take. I also highly rate the burgers and the white choc tiramisu. It is incredibly good value for money and they have several locations in London.

This restaurant has a completely vegetarian and vegan menu inspired by both eastern and western dishes! For instance they may have italian small plates with a Sri Lankan inspired large plate. The food looked good and tasted nice. Service could be better, I feel like a gentleman who looked like the manager or owner was more responsive than the server who was attending my table. I had to ask for water and the bill multiple times. But aside from that, definitely recommend this place for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike!

My first time visiting Mildred’s and I must say. It exceeded my expectations. The staff were lovely the venue itself was so modern and Sheek beautiful furniture but wait the food !! Oh my god. I was excited as I have not had tiramisu since becoming vegan back in 2019 so you can imagine the sheer joy and excitement on my face when I saw this on the menu. If I could I would give them 10/10 stars but 5 is the max. Thank you Antonio and team for having us. I will be back soon. Highly recommend.
