Can’t believe the lunch set menu is only £35 per person!!!! In such a great environment and nice vibe!!! The sea bass curry is so great that I’ll definitely come again with my friends. Btw the cocktails are really amazing too!

Came here for Diwali lunch and wow, it was delicious! The set lunch had really good food and we got to try several things, though the portions were quite small so we had to order additional dishes from the a la carte menu - loved the prawn appetiser, the lobster idli, the paneer makhani, the chicken tikka masala and the mango cassata. Stunning interior, especially in the back area with the skylight, and decent service. Will be back for sure!

I had booked to go there after the Camden Hall concert, but after checking with the hall, I was told that the show would finish at 10pm, so I changed the time suddenly before the concert, which was graciously accepted. For my own convenience, I wasn't very hungry, but with the right advice I was able to have a good light supper. The food was very tasty, spicy but full of flavour.

Amazing quiet gem. I love Indian food but their execution is truly fine dining Indian food. Cute interior ambience, nooks allowing for private conversation - perfect for business lunch. No tourists here. Entry through door, ringing a bell. Menu was excellent, I recommend the fish in the coconut curry wow that blew my mind.

We visited Kutir for their £25 set lunch menu and it was a delight. An excellent way to sample their Michelin Star worthy food for a wallet friendly price. The food was all delicious and excellent value for money. Portion sizes were generous and we left feeling well fed. Our server was very polite and attentive. Service was quick and well paced between courses. The atmosphere was cosy and intimate, especially at lunchtime as they weren't quite so busy. I would return in a heartbeat and would recommend Kutir to anyone who loves trying flavourful high quality food!

Went here with friends for our annual Diwali meal . I WOULD NOT recommend this restaurant . Bad food , watered down drinks and very overpriced ! As a Indian myself , I love trying out new Indian restaurants. The service was awful , waiters just leant over you all night , picked up plates while people were eating and didn’t know the menu or food they were serving , and choose to lie then ask the kitchen about food and drinks on menu . The worst parts in particular were the cold ‘bread basket’ - all the naans & kulcha were cold when they got to the table therefore where hard , dry and cold . Almost inedible ! The luke warm masala tea at £4 per very small cup , tasted like warm water with a dash of milk . I needed to order a new tea bag and hot milk to even drink it . Prior to ordering we confirmed with the waiter that it was authentic tea , not a powder mix or a tea bag which he replied it was. If you want a very overpriced lack lustre Indian mean then please visit otherwise I would say go elsewhere for authentic Indian food , and it would be half the price .

Very nice Indian food. Authentic, yet innovative. On the pricey side. All vegetarian starters were excellent, except gobhi samosa. The biryani was on point, so were all the veg curries we ordered. Dessert looked plush, but could be sweeter. Overall a fab experience. Will definitely go again. attractive ambience and good staff.

Indian Fine dining experience which may have been the best I tried so far in London. Go for the tasting menu (veggie option available as well) as you will get the most value and a really amazing overview of what this kitchen is capable of. Absolute highlight was the salmon spiced to perfection and the grilled lamb chop. The chicken tikka was also nothing like the typical one you would get. There is an optional wine pairing available or a small but finely selected wine list. Very friendly staff that will look after you and make your stay outstanding and chilled. The cocktails are also on the yummy side and worth trying - including the mocktail. Only thing to consider is that the food is quite spicy - this is not everyone’s taste. Will definitely come back!

Yesterday, I dined at the winner of the 2022 UK Restaurant Awards for the Best Restaurant of the Year – Kutir, a high-end Indian restaurant located in Chelsea, London. 🪷 From the outside, the place doesn't look like a typical restaurant; it's tucked away in a quiet corner of the Chelsea terrace houses. After ringing the doorbell, a waiter in a suit vest opens the door for you, revealing a world inside that is both exquisite and luxurious, filled with exotic charm. 🦚 The brightly coloured wallpaper depicts natural landscapes and flora and fauna characteristic of India. Embroidered flowers are vivid and lifelike, while the peacock feathers are adorned with sparkling crystals, creating a beautifully harmonized overall colour scheme. 🍴 We opted for the lunch set menu, priced at £35 for 3 courses, which is quite a good deal in central London. Starter 🍤 Prawns Masala Juicy and tender large prawns, coated in a thin layer of batter, emit an enticing aroma. Served with lime, raw onions, and other herbs, it's a refreshing and appetising start. 🐐 Keema Pav Spicy and delicious minced goat meat, slow-cooked, paired with soft and tasty buttered pav (bread). Despite the heat, it's irresistible. The main course includes 2 types of naan bread, a serving of white rice, and a portion of spiced daal soup. 🐟 Meen Moilee This one is a real winner! The coconut curry is sweet and not very spicy, and the sea bass is crispy on the outside and tender and fresh inside. It's so delicious that we ordered an extra serving of naan bread to dip in the coconut curry – pure bliss! 🍛 Chicken Tikka Masala The chicken is tender, but for me, it's a bit too spicy. The curry is thick, flavorful, and explosively spicy. Dessert 🍮 Bhapa Doi This dessert is intriguing, tasting like a rosewater-infused version of Italian panna cotta. The combination of condensed milk and steamed yoghurt is rich, complemented by honeycomb and fruits, with red currants adding a visually stunning touch. 🥭 Cassata Mango The texture of this dessert is unique, a blend of ice cream and cake. Both the milk and fruit flavours are intense, with rosewater for the pink part and mango for the orange part – the use of fresh fruit is evident in the mango section. 🍰 After the meal, we were treated to a mini dessert, and at the coat check, there was an Indian version of mouth freshener – a mixture of fennel seeds, mint, and sugar balls. Typically consumed after meals, it leaves a fragrant taste in the mouth, though some may find the flavour too intense.

Beautiful restaurant with excellent service and staff with an original and more refined take on North and South Indian cuisine. The 'Keema Pao' was the best dish and absolutely delicious with the right amount of heat. The 'Lobster Idli' was subtle but very comforting as idli's should be, the sambar which came with it was probably one the best I've tried, I basically drank it from the jar. The bread basket which comes with truffle and keema naan was perfectly cooked and just moorish to the point I really did have to hold back as I was filling up. Now to the reason I am giving 4 stars, at the end of the day it is all about the food for me and I was expecting a bit more "wow" factor and deeper flavours for some of what I would call the usual celebratory dishes when it comes to Indian cuisine like the Guinea Fowl Biryani and the Lamb Shank (which is basically a Nihari). The biryani just didn't taste like it should, found the rice quite lacking in flavour and a bit wet and wasn't that grand delicious dish it should have been. The Lamb Shank had flavour and tasted ok, but didn't really have the layers of flavour I expected, with it being more on the saltier side for me. It tasted like the sauce and the meat were cooked separately and the sauce thickened without any of those delicious lamb fat and juices that come with cooking it all together. Overall, a lovely restaurant with such beautiful deco, amazing staff and a real joy to eat in. The food is good but probably not at the standard I expect from some dishes with those prices but saying that I would happily return to try many of the other dishes on the menu.

Definitely worth coming back here. I would say this place is more upscale and pretty quiet. On the smaller side so would say make reservations just to make sure. Everything I had here was amazing. Chicken Tikka masala, bread basket, mushroom appetizer and grilled lamb were the ones I remember we ordered and were all fantastic. Portions are on the smaller side so might need to order a few more dishes than expected if you are hungry but worth it in my opinion.

This restaurant truly excels in delivering an authentic Indian dining experience, from the tantalizing flavors and the inviting ambiance to the impeccable service. I particularly appreciated the chef's confidence in presenting dishes at their intended spice levels, without the customary inquiry about my spice preference. This attention to culinary authenticity ensured that each dish was enjoyed as it was meant to be, with a perfect balance of spices that delighted the palate. Overall, a fantastic dining spot that I highly recommend for its genuinely great Indian food and overall excellence.

Kutir Indian Cuisine, a delicious adventure in Sloane Square! Families, in a hidden delicious corner in Sloane Square, West London - Kutir Indian cuisine is really amazing! It's right next to a luxury shopping street, and the interior decoration is exquisite and the atmosphere is warm. I really like it~ and the lunch set menu costs 35 pounds per person, so I'll share it with you! 🍤 Appetizer: Prawn Masala, recommended for family members who like spicy food! The prawns are fresh and tender, and the spiciness of the Masala spices is irresistible. Every bite is spicy and satisfying! 🍞 Appetizer Lamb Butter Brisket, this one is really outstanding! The aroma of butter is mixed with the deliciousness of the lamb, and the softness of the brioche buns and the chewy texture of the lamb are perfectly combined, making it endlessly memorable! 🐟 Main course Meen pan-fried sea bass with coconut curry leaves, delicious! The sea bass is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the fragrance of coconut-flavored curry leaves is overflowing. It is the kind of delicious food that makes people feel good after eating it! 🍗 Main dish Chicken Masala, this is also a must-try! The chicken is tender and juicy, and the rich layers of masala spices make the whole dish more tempting, satisfying all your wonderful imaginations of Indian food! 🍨 Dessert steamed yogurt with honey and wild berries, super amazing! The mellowness of fresh yogurt combined with the sweetness of berries, plus the sweetness of honey, brings a cold and refreshing delicious experience! 🍦 Dessert pink pepper pistachio and cranberry ice cream, slightly peppery and crispy with pistachio, paired with the sweet and sour cranberry, it feels very fresh~ You can even order another set meal! Their lunch set is well worth a try. Don’t miss the delicious food here when you’re tired of shopping in Sloane Square! Come on, family members! 💖💖 Food tours are always full of surprises. The store exploration progress is XX/500. We look forward to sharing more food stories with you~💖💖 #London Food #Kutir Indian Cuisine #Prawn Masala #Mutton Butter Brie Pack #Meen Pan-fried Sea Bass with Coconut Curry Leaves #Chicken Masala #Steamed Yoghurt with Honey and Wild Berries #Pink Pepper Pistachios and Cranberries Ice cream#SloaneSquarefood#Eat your fill and visit the store @Kutir Indian Cuisine

An absolutely wonderful experience. If I could give higher than 5 stars I would. Multi-course wild game tasting menu was a great mix of classic Indian flavors with now uncommon meats. The green peppercorn venison curry was absolutely stunning. The service could not be better. Staff was all professional, friendly, and courteous. Asef in particular was a joy to have through the evening. Ambiance was nice. Dimly lit but not terribly so, with a a candlight on each table. You can small the aromatics throughout the restaurant and practically from Sloane Square station.

“I was so impressed with my lunch this afternoon ! I tried their cocktail ‘ Bagh’ , Aloo Tikki as starter and Lamb Shank as main with some naan, paratha and rice as side and finally Date Pecan Cinnamon dessert. I finished my whole plate and was so impressed with the quality of the food. And waitress was sweet and helpful. I will definitely be back!” and will highly recommend this restaurant.

A gem of a place. Has been there for my wedding anniversary and it was an exceptional experience. The food was excellent, ambience was lovely and the company was awesome 😍. To make it even special, they brought a slice of cake with Happy Anniversary on top followed by 2 chocolate deserts on the house! Absolutely lovely! Will recommend and will definitely be returning.

Modern Indian food- not the place to go if you want the classics, but I suspect the unfamiliar dishes are the best here! I had the Anana mocktail, which was definitely a highlight! And the starters: crab & aloo tikki were excellent- just the right size and spiciness. The mains were a bit mixed- I had the truffle pilau with raita which was so light and fragrant, in contrast to the chicken tikka and lamb shank which were a bit too rich.. We also ordered a couple of side dishes- which went really well with the naan. It was very filling though, so 1 side/starter & 1 main per person would be the ideal amount imo. The location was very cool and had good decor- what you’d expect from Chelsea really. The waiters are very attentive, and the booking process was very smooth.

Much awaited visit to Kutir is ticked . We ordered for 3 tasting menus .. I personally ordered the seafood Tasting menu The amuse bouche Dhokla was common for all .. it tasted great . The next course was crab stuffed Kulcha with pickled onions was outstanding.. 5 ⭐️ for that dish The tandoori prawn with squid ink was sublime Grilled salmon with mooli yogurt was another great combination.. As much as I was looking forward to the main course of lobster with chur chur Paratha but was a bit disappointed as the lobster came in raw .. Meh! .. though they fixed it and also offered an additional dish complimentary ( mishaps happen ) but can’t take away the honest attempt at serving delicious food. Service staff were attentive and friendly. The ambience is really very elegant Overall a good experience . It’s worth a visit !

Outstanding indian restaurant with warm welcoming vibe. Located in a townhouse the interior is stunning! Aloo tikki chaat was lip smacking with perfectly crispy tikkis. The paneer parcel is a must, if you are a paneer fanatic. Jackfruit koftas were quite unique and thoroughly delicious! The alphanso cocktail was quite disappointing though the the food is the show stealer, easily compensating for it. The service was very warm and prompt!

Came here without a reservation for a very early dinner (just after 1700 on Sat). We were seated swiftly inside at the back where the sunshine shone thru the glass ceiling/roof - the decor was a really unexpected surprise. In fact we love the interiors, the cutlery and the glassware. We also loved the food (we ordered most of the vegetarian options). Liked the desserts a lot and for sure the drinks and attentive but efficient service. I definitely want to find another impromptu excuse to go back!

My family and I had a graduation lunch here and it was absolutely fantastic. Think traditional Indian food but completely reinvented. The flavours were stunning and it was really exciting to try these dishes as Indians ourselves. Excellent service and atmosphere - one of the best Indian restaurants in London!

Very nice ambience, Very good and fast service, good interesting menu with fresh ingredients and generous portions, unfortunately disappointing taste... Very bland with no depth.. I come from a region very similar both in culture and food to the south and east Indian regions so very familiar with what Indian food should taste like ... I think a little more work on taste authenticity and they can easily get 5 stars..

Had a fantastic meal here on the first day of reopening in May. The staff were friendly, courteous and very attentive. We both ordered the Signature Expedition menu, and whilst it was a little more than we would ordinarily spend on a meal out, it was well worth it. We were blown away by the flavours, variety and consistency. Every course was perfectly sized - not too small nor overfacingly large, and each was so well crafted. It was really nice to have so much fish too, as I often fall into the trap of just ordering chicken or lamb at an Indian Restaurant. Would heartily recommend the expedition menu. As is to be expected from an upmarket restaurant like this, drinks are very expensive, but all were delicious and added to a fantastic evening. Very glad we visited and will be recommending to our friends

Came for lunch on a weekend and what an absolute stellar choice that was! The dishes on the tasting menu were excellent! I was particularly impressed by the salmon and lamb dishes I had! Also, the tasting menu is far from the expected one mouthful per dish - I certainly got my money's worth and almost rolled out of the place! Away from the food the interior is lovely, and feels relaxed and affable without feeling too casual for the price point. The drinks were also to a high standard. I enjoyed the wine pairings with the menu and a gin/vermouth based cocktail with sweet basil was a real find! My server Hasan was knowledgeable about the menu - both food and drink, and was incredibly considerate: he asked if we wanted to slow down the pace of the tasting menu as we had cocktails alongside our wine pairing. We declined but being considered like that really puts the finishing touches on the experience. Excellent stuff, keep it up!

The two stars are for the beautiful venue and tasty food. I am glad the chef hadn't shied away from adding some spice to the food. The lack of five stars is due to the service. I have read the rude and defensive responses from the management team to negative online reviews. I find that unprofessional and childish. The waiters were polite and were trying but there was a lack of polish in their behaviour - delays in bringing drinks, the menu, not noticing when a customer was waiting to order, bumping into guests etc. Then again, perhaps Kutir feels that they can no longer improve or don't need feedback. So the best they can do is remain a somewhat-better-than-your-local-Indian takeaway with a Chelsea price tag.

  • 5/5 Dom P. 2 years ago on Google
From the Christmas decorations to the food, Kutir was a 5 star experience. The service was top drawer, couldn't fault it. Everyone we spoke to was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu providing recommendations that suited our tastes. Cocktails were so good too. And although an obvious and extremely British item to order, the tikka masala is a must, with a rich, slightly spicy gravy and incredibly tender chicken. If you're in the area, it is well worth a visit!

  • 5/5 Jenny C. 2 years ago on Google
The entrance is more discreet than most, as they open the door you're greeted with a well decorated, finished interior. The ambience is warm and welcoming. The acoustics did not bounce around the rooms too much. I like the uniform of the waiters. The carpet looks well kept. The outdoor space is nice until the sun has set and it gets a bit too chilly, the waiter checked to see if there were tables available for us to go inside. It would have helped if the menu indicated which dishes were the spiciest for those who love spice, but might not be able to take too much heat! I ended up ordering the spiciest dish on the menu without knowing, luckily I was able to let them know just before they made it, so it took a bit longer but they were able to accommodate to my needs =) The menu is not overly expensive, the flavour of ingredients match the price. Every dish is layered with flavour and well balanced. The staff are attentive. Thank you for a enjoyable meal.

This place is incredible!!! We joined a family party there, with full intention to savour and take pictures of each dish as the dinner begun, but the food was so good that after taking a photo of the first starter we just dug into each new dish arriving with no time to spare at all 😀 Do try the cocktails too, or lassi as a perfect non-alcoholic alternative. Hope to be back again some time!
