There are several places in the popular Estrella street, however several friends recommended this place. The food is delicious. We ordered several dishes and all were amazing. We will back!

What a delicious dining experience! We tried several local wines (2,60€ a glass), a cheese platter (10€), delicious ham croquettes (9€), and a great Caesar salad (6€). You’ve got to try it!

Nice place in downtown of A Coruña, we liked the decoration. Nice staff and good value for price. If we had to highlight something would be the dessert: Cheesecake

We were lucky enough to only have a short wait for a table without a reservation considering how popular this place is and for good reason! The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We had the pulpo, half portions of potato omelette and padron peppers and a basket of bread, a beer and coffee. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Staff are very friendly and provide great service. Credit cards accepted.

Amazing food and very cozy, friendly and lively atmosphere. I managed to have pulpo a la feira e pimentos before when all other restaurants were still closed, and it was delicious! Definitely recommended

Very good place to have local food! The place is very nice, nicely decorated. All COVID policies applied, very clean. Many menu options with local varieties of dishes. All super tasty and with great quality. It is expensive, as portions are small and prices a bit high. It is worth it, though, if you can afford it.

Walked in without a booking on a Sat around 6:30pm I chose this place based on reviews, but also cause it was one of the few that was open. Though booked out they let us sit at a table that was reserved for later in the evening I read the reviews that said they gave generous servings. But the servings of peppers and mussels were such that I thought they had given us double The wine was perfect and the atmosphere and service was perfect for us. In addition the food was some of the tastiest we have had over the last two weeks as well as economical

The staff are the most awful rude and disrespectful people I have ever encountered. The woman with the long brown hair said to me, it wasn’t her problem that our reserved table had no seats, I said I thought it was a given that a reserved table came with seats and she replied telling me she wasn’t the police- She can’t control movement of chairs!!! The food was good but came at such vastly different times it made dining as a family not very enjoyable! The whole experience was tainted by the staff and honestly I don’t care how nice your food is the disrespect these people show customers is outrageous and they shouldn’t be given money as a result.

Likely one of the best “polbo á feira” I have ever had: melting in your mouth. Prices are okay, although there are for sure cheaper resto in A Coruña. Overall, I really had a good time and the service treated me well. I will remember this place.

Really difficult to find a taberna for lunch in LA Coruna. It's a very busy vibrant town with lots of traffic. Most places we visited were not serving food or were located on a busy road. We had almost reluctantly given up. It was a delight to turn the corner of a pedestrian street and discover the beer barrels under sun shades full of people. No tables available outside but inside was just lovely. Rustic brick or stone walls covered in coins balancing wherever they can. Quirky. Terrific service. Estrella Beer brewed on the premises with the barrel's suspended from the ceiling. Diagrams of the process also displayed. The beer was probably some of the best I've ever tasted. Creamy and smooth served with delicious tapas. Lentils - yummy. My husband is not a keen lentil fan but these converted him. Crusty bread with ham and fritatta. Stunning. We then ordered more. Prawns so sweet I wanted to suck the skins. Mixed platter - meats and cheeses. Delicious. Plus more beer. I didn't want to leave. We were the only no Spanish but were made to feel very welcome. I loved people watching too. Many coming for their main meal as the day reached peak heat. Most tables inside filled. One amazingly beautiful lady cooling herself with an outfit matching red fan. I would definitely recommend this place. I left feeling very privileged to have this experience. Thank you.

I didn't not make a reservation, so the guys suggest to wait at the bar. I had some white wine and they served a cheakpeas soup. As soon as the table freed up I was seated. I went for the octopus dish, which I was craving after reading some reviews. It was not I was expecting, it was even more. Loved it. Had some chocolate cake as dessert. The guys were fast and accommodating. Deffo a come back. Muchas gracias.

A wonderful experience. There weren’t any tables available so we chose to stand at the bar. I’m glad we did. The atmosphere is friendly. The bocas fantastic. My wife loved the octopus.

We visited two times: The quality of the food is very high (from the seafood to the bread), the way of cooking it is excellent ( the desserts as well ), the cost is very affordable and, last but not least the service is excellent too. The First time we have been served by a very nice woman and yesterday Ruben served us. He was nice, honest and very helpful with his suggestions. It's a place both for tourists and fo locals.

What a great place to taste local galician specialties! The “tavern” atmosphere and vibe, as well as the very friendly and helpful staff, made the whole experience perfect. The place is super busy, but we found a table without reservation because we got there at 16:00. We got tapas (half) portions to share and everything we got was deliciously cooked. Pulpo con Cachelos (octopus with potatoes) is a must and it’s the best one we’ve had in Spain -so far! We also tried the Zamburiñas a la Plancha (grilled scallops) -the sauce left us speechless, Chipirones Fritos, Pimientos de Padrón and Croquetas Caseras (homemade croquettes). The bread portion was very generous and the bread itself was amazing. The plot twist, though, was the “Callos a la Gallega” (a hearty chickpea and sausage stew) small treat that they brought us with our beers at the beginning. Was like an explosion of tastes in our mouths! Overall, great experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to try authentic cuisine from Galicia.

I was really looking forward to Saturday night out with my husband and having a nice meal out We are in A Coruna for business. However turned out to be a disaster! Upon arrival the staff weren’t very friendly and didn’t really want to give us a table, we were finally seated oopposite the bar! which was very noisy! The salad ordered was not right, the main meal tenderloin steak was uncooked, very red & bloody and also very salty. The fried potatoe chips were oily and very salty. The whole meal was very oily and salty and I couldn’t eat it. The staff never once asked if our meals were okay. Once we immediately finished, the waitress removed our full plated meals from the table. The only thing we enjoyed was the wine. Sorry not a great dining experience we won’t be going back!!! (Shame I didn’t take a photo of the food!).

Visited for the first time ordered tenderloin steak which were served wilt fries and spinach. Unfortunately the whole meal was too salty, I asked for the steak to be medium it arrived too rare so had to return. I only ate the steak and left the fries and spinach and some of the salad as I saw an insect beneath the salad placed on my plate. The wine was ok but for me the food was too oily and salty.. I then had an upset stomach and poor night sleep as a result of the food, would not recommend.

Simple, fresh and tasty! We heard about this place and the reviews were spot on! The service was wonderful even though it was rather busy and the seafood- cockles, squid and mussels - were excellent! If after days or tortillas and pulpo you want to have a change, this is it! Beware though- the portions are big!

The place is located in a very cozy street with other restaurants around full of people👨‍👩‍👦‍👦, what makes the area specially enjoyable and full of good vibes The recommendation is: ⚠️ BOOK A TABLE BEFORE YOU GO ⚠️ otherwise you rely on the luck that somebody leaves the table outside. The food is good but heavy for my taste, and the variety is quite big so you are not going to be out of choice ✌️

As with all good places, it gets busy so I'd recommend to book. We were lucky to get a table. Food was great

The pulpo here is incredible and authentic to the Galician region. We also ordered the raxo which was delicious as well. My only complaint is that service is quite slow, and in the two times I visited, borderline rude. Would recommend anyways for an affordable and delicious meal in the city.

😠 This place looks fancy and it's kind of expensive. But when asking for a Stout or a Porter beer, the waiter, Alfredo, just said: I don't even know what you're talking about. And not with the best attitude.

👍 We had fries and sea food. The waiter was very nice and the food also. The place is very windy so you have to take car of your things. We went for tapas and some drinks. Recommended.
