(Translated by Google) The Aquarium Finisterrae, also known by the people of A Coruña as the Casa de los Peces (in Galician Casa dos Peixes), located in the city of La Coruña, is an interactive center, which currently requires a prior reservation of entry to visit it, from Scientific dissemination on aspects related to marine biology, oceanography and the sea in general. It aims to promote knowledge of the ocean and educate positive attitudes towards the marine environment, as well as contribute to the scientific knowledge of marine life. Great place to visit. It is not too big, but has wide range of stands with lot of interesting facts and information about marine life. Outdoors they have two pools to visit little fatties sea dogs aka seals. Best part is underground marine dedicated to Jules Verne, with 360 aquarium.

Visited as part of a tour, some excellent parts, but also disappointing in the main. Firstly the positives. Great access and toilets on site. It’s only 10 Euros each to get in. Seal feeding at midday is great, you can get really close to these beautiful creatures. The site is entirely In Spanish, not surprising given it’s in Spain, however most such sites now around the globe have signs to accommodate most. The do have a QR code to English texts, but they can be hard to find in the dark. Additionally there is no suggested route around, and you don’t get an idea of what’s there unless you keep looking, it would be really easy to miss a room. We spoke to a staff member who spoke English and she said we had seen everything, that was apart from the massive room behind her and the tanks in there …. It could be so much more, it’s a shame for visitors.

Great medium sized aquarium. Some great displays in main area. Kids like the drive the boat bit and the tying the knots. Most displays in Spanish. Downstairs display room amazing..full walkaround windows with fish swimming round an round. Amazing decor with an vintage feel. We walked to here from the town which was nice but slightly too long for our children. Great coastal views and scenery.

Although looks small from the road it is actually on 3 levels and made for an interesting visit. Shame that the cafe was closed but there is a small shop selling soft drinks inside the entrance on the left. Quite impressed with the layout which got better the further you went inside. A definite plus is that there is a lift to all levels which is great for families with prams or users of wheel chairs. Lots to look at and from my perspective is a worthwhile place to visit. I will let the photos do the rest of the talking.

He observado un error monumental.

A good three hours spent here. A nice selection of displays and animals to look at. Some good educational material. I felt bad for some of the aquatic animals who had very small tanks that did not have any decoration/stimulation for them, and were also kept alone. Very sad. Otherwise, conditions seemed pretty good. Reasonable entry at €10. The cuttlefish were mesmerising. A good activity for a rainy day.

Good place in a quite environment. It does not have many attractions. I like the fact walruses are in an open environment. Many things to read, only few of them interactive. The nautilus exposition is one of the best spaces. Persona Opinion: it seems that the aquarium open few years ago, it remained with the same expositions, no new ones and they are fighting to maintain it feeding the animals... important: personal opinion. In general it could be better. If you like the aquariums you may go, but is not good enough (I have visited other aquariums that are really good) as to make a mandatory visit in A Corunha. I really love animals and museums but this one did not gave me the Wow" or " So nice" effect. If you want more details contact me on Instagram: enfokados

A nice facility with a lot of educational and interactive content that was unfortunately not made easily accessible in English (not a big deal though). Some highlights from the exhibits were the live shark eggs that you could see, the seahorses, seals (outdoor), and the jellyfish. The Nautilus room was a breathtaking experience, especially once the sand shark came into view. I would come back just for this.

This place is very nice. A little small, but nice. Stuff are very nice. We enjoy how they feed seals. They are very funny. The great white shark was not so hungry. We was lucky, that we were there at the right time and the diver also 😂😂😂. The only thing I was surprised, that there was not English translation.

Very nice aquarium in A Coruña you can combine it with a walk to the tower of Hercules. Because of covid a lot of things were not able to use like the interactive experience and the restaurant and there was no sea lions show. There is also a pre-reservation needed which you can easily do online pick an hour which still has spots in the day and show this when you go in. You still have to pay at the entrance but it's a reduced price. It is still a great experience for this kids with lots of fishes to see you can also watch the sea lions in the natural bay made in part of the ocean.

Really nice setup with all the different levels. Loved the take on the Nautilus theme on the lowest level and views outside the aquarium are quite awesome. They also had an art exhibition with pieces made from plastic collected in the ocean. Highly recommend it!

It's worth a visit. It is quite educational for marine biology and oceanography. I suggest you take the information pamphlet which is easy to miss , before you enter. Because once you enter the centre, you are on your own. Also all the information is only in Spanish. There are various sections like big aquariums with a variety of fish on display, everything related to the oceans for examples types of sands, types of water , corals etc. There are some interactive games for kids. Wikipedia says there is a space dedicated to octopus, however there is one display with 2-3 octopuses in it. Another thing is a submarine display where you can see the shark. That was interesting. Another thing is a pond where they feed the seals. Carry your umbrella because if it's raining, you can still go out and see the show. There is restaurant inside, where you can have food coffee etc. Overall it was a good experience.

Great aquarium. Highlights were seeing a land shark, seals, and a finding nemo display. We only had about 2 hours during a layover and were able to see the full museum AND get lunch. You can take as much or as little time as you want.

Muy divertido. Precio económico. Perfecto para niños. Make sure you get a map and hit all the levels. The Nautilus room is easily overlooked but well worth it. They fed the seals at 5 pm when we were there, so you may want to check on those times. Pro tip: get a bono to save some money.

Quite a well organised aquarium and a classic staple for the kids on a rainy day. Lots of tanks (including one with the star attraction of a 3m sand shark), interactive stands, and an outdoor pool for the seals who are fed in front of patrons twice a day.

Also that they sprinkle me because with the wheelchair I cannot see the seals. You keep putting varreras on everything.

Wonderful place to go with kids. The views of the ocean are breathtaking. The exhibirse, very interesting and well presented. Great to witness the seal feeding time outside. Kids thoroughly enjoy time and again!

It is a nice place especially for kids.. I especially loved the raised platform at each exhibit on which kids can stand on and view the exhibits themselves..😊 The only issues were that there were no descriptions in english language... And that the cafetarias were closed... 🙁

A bit of a surprise, better than we expected. Lots to see and we spent 2 hours looking around. If there is a negative no clear signs in English and it would be easy to miss bits. The large aquarium in the lower section was not obvious from the corridor above.

Small but with lots of different areas to explore. The 'submarine' shark zone is very cool. It has great views of the ocean and a large outdoor part where you can see the seals being fed.

Great place! The only downside was that everything was in Spanish and not in any other language.

A small but worthwhile aquarium to visit, it was relatively small but full of a lot to see including more exotic animals such as octopuses and seals. I would recommend putting aside two hours or so to take a look through, it's a pretty great time!

Good aquarium. Went in with low expectations, to be honest, but was pleasantly surprised. Kids (7 and 4) loved it. Only 10 euros for an adult and 4 each for the kids, so cheap too.

Really nice little aquarium where we were able to watch the seals get their lunch (midday). Bought tickets at the kiosk which was quick and easy. Fish looked well looked after. Clean environment and lots of information everywhere, although, not in English

Spent a good 2 hours here. Some exhibits had QR code for English translation. The nautilus area, a massive tank with massive fish, including a massive shark isn't well signposted. Make sure you go down the stairs that are a little hidden

Worth planning around the seal feeding time at 12:00 and 17:00 with spanish narration. If you miss it they are still fun to watch. They are outdoors, so bring an umbrella in case it rains. Nearly missed the 360degree underground tank Nautilus where there are numerous fish and a shark swimming around (the water doesn’t look too deep so feel a bit sorry for the shark). There’s not enough signage inside. Map not very detailed either. Just make sure you cover the outdoor, indoor plus the underground areas. The ‘pats pond’ depicted on the map doesn’t exist anymore, replaced by a model ship driving area. No English just spanish and gallego explanations but it might be good for me saving time from reading everything. Some people might find it a bit expensive at €10 entrance fee for a medium sized aquarium, but it’s got a variety of tanks to spend a good 2hrs (or more).

👍👍 Each María Pita Museum, located on Rua (street) Herrerías in the City of La Coruña itself. It is a house with a lot of history, several rooms with a variety of exhibitions and very extensive. And even rooms of how the great heroine of La Coruña lived.
