I went solo back in Fall 2021 just at opening time (they even let me in a few minutes before) and let me tell you this was the best meal I had in all of Spain. I would go back to Coruña just to eat here again. Almost missed my flight back and if I did, I would not have regretted it. As someone who grew up eating the freshest seafood you can ever imagine (family of fishing enthusiasts living in an island), and having been to some Michelin star restaurants, the only other time I had a fish comparable to the one here was the ones that my dad grilled at the beach right after coming out of the water. How about making a gourmet dinner with that kind of fish? The sauce around it, the wine, the torrijas as dessert… price was unbeatable for the quality of the food and the treatment. I want to manifest that I’ll be back someday.

Amazing! Wonderful service and ambiance, it seems to be always full! I would love to visit again. It’s not expensive for what you get, and the dishes are all spectacular and worth trying.

Unbelievable service, the meal on day one was amazing and the service second to none, but we stupidly asked for something other than the usual tasting menu which was great but not as legendary as the fish we later discovered. When the owner asked how it was I said good, he wasent satisfied with this so insisted we return the next day as his guests, the meal was out of this world I’ve never tasted fish like it and when we went to pay the manager said it was on the house I’ve never known service this good and the owner was an absolute star. Cannot recommend enough!

Some of the best food I’ve ever had, and I live in a city full of Michelin stars (San Francisco). Tuna had perfect consistency, desserts were amazing and wine list was well curated.

t seems former Michelin praised restaurants retain a certain underhanded and discriminatory ethos from the unequal attitude to fine dinning that still exits in France in 2023. Despite being on Galician soil. As I've never experienced such a frosty reception from a restaurant in any part of Spain ever and found all Galician restaurants to be accommodating and helpful up to this point. The restaurant was empty and I presented as a single person with a darker complexion after weeks in the sun. Where as two older and paler people in front were accommodated for a on the spur of the moment reservation I was curtly refused by the complicate older waitress and her manager who did not even make eye contact and just rudely said in effect nothing doing for him. There was not even a offer of another time or date . They also seemed totally unprofessional not having any business cards or maybe that was another thing they only offered to other customers. I walked forty minutes to get here and there was not even a friendly manner. Despite the elated pretence of being a elegant restaurant.

One of the best surprises in La Coruña. Upscale Gastro-Restaurant without the sky high prices of refined cuisine. Overall excellent service, nicely presented and very good price to quality ratio. Perfect choice to talk and be listened to as opposed to the other loud venues.

A great food experience! Highest recommendation. Very fair price. At lunch time (15:00 Spain) the restaurant was full. Even I was solo and had no reservation, the waitress and owner made the effort to setup a table for me! Generally, all staff very friendly and attentive. The room with about 60 seatings is modern and warm/cozy. It has tinted windows at three sides which let daylight in and allow to look outside at the old central city buildings around. Food was of high quality, very tasty and satisfying. The Albariño wine was nice (try this type of wine when in Galicia). Bread was really good. I had Sardine as starter: mild, on a sour purée with vinegar shallots (?). Very nice. As I was alone the owner said half a portion is sufficient, it was. My main was a tender, fresh Salmonete fish with light crispy salty skin - one of the best fish I ever had. It came with a purée, crispy exotic potato slices and cray fish tartare. As desert I took "French toast with Thai soup", as it sounded non conventional. It was superb: fluffy and perfectly caramelized. The soup (sauce) with lemon grass was very Thai. Perfect. Ah, yes and a passion fruit sorbet with tiny grumble. A good espresso closed the fantastic, rememberable food experience. And I was not hungry when leaving. I paid 40€.

tried to book a table by E-Mail and asked if they have also maybe one vegan option for one of us. The answer was a simple "it's impossible" in Spanish without writing anything else.. not really customer oriented

Great place to enjoy a revamped traditional cuisine full of flavor. This place is exactly like this, traditional dishes with a modern touch, and enhanced flavors. For instance, we had ravioli, rib, braised ox tail and scallops. Pros: the mix of flavors is strong, they evolve in mouth and the feeling is super positive. Cons: sometimes some really good products are masked in their original textures and flavors. Anyway, a good value for money option in A Coruña 4.6 stars on my opinion

Price quality relationship is off the charts! Amazing restaurant with super friendly and honest service. Great food. 7 course menu with half a bottle of good wine for €50... science fiction? Nope! Book it while it lasts!

La Coruna has fabulous food at every turn. However, Alberto's is next level magnificent and well worth seeking out if in town. The hardest part is narrowing down your choices - we went with the owners suggestions and every course was out of this world!

We stumbled upon the restaurant via recommendation by our concierge. We were blown away by the friendly, quick, professional and warm service and a phenomenal 8 course ‘Chef’s Menue’ with wine pairings. By far the best dining experience in our week trip which included Michelin Star restaurants…

Returning today for a second time this week. Eating at El de Alberto is an experience you must enjoy while in Coruña. The place is highly recommended and rightfully so. Alberto, his staff, the food provide an unusually brilliant experience. Whether you are a local or tourists such as ourselves Alberto welcomes you as part of the familia. Gold stars to all.

What an amazing meal! The ambiance was very warm and welcoming and the servers were attentive and courteous. The meal was probably the best meal of our entire trip to Spain! The tuna appetizers were delicious and almost too pretty to eat! My husband had the Hake and I had the Cod and both were wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant for a top notch dining experience.

We are adept of Michelin starred restaurants, and clearly this one deserves one or two stars for food and service, except for the prices that are uncommonly normal ! Highly, highly recommend !

😠 This place looks fancy and it's kind of expensive. But when asking for a Stout or a Porter beer, the waiter, Alfredo, just said: I don't even know what you're talking about. And not with the best attitude.
