While it has an entrance admission, it was affordable & worth every cent. Highly recommended. The place is beautiful. As it's a museum really enjoyed being able to go places in the church we would not normally be allowed. Wish there was an audio tour in different languages or a pamphlet.

A truly under publicized and under appreciated sight in Santiago de Compostela. I had walked by this museum many times and actually stayed next door for several days. Finally, I decided to visit on a whim and was amazed at the size and contents. It is probably more impressive than some cathedrals, and there seem to be very few visitors. Entrance is 3 or 4 Euros, but it is definitely worth it. A very beautiful place.

Facade was really beautiful and impressive but inside was a bit disappointing as it just looked so ordinary. It was a pity, really. Because it was raining, there were not too many people, which was definitely great for those like to take picture with no/minimum number of people

Interesting, shown different functions this place served the Camino through the years.

Superb place to stay in Santiago. Not a hotel as such, dont expect tv in the rooms. Double rooms are very comfortable, clean and en-suite, not huge. Booking directly you can get a 'pilgrim ' single room in top floor. Simpler, clean and en-suite. Great charm. Amazing ancient building right beside the Cathedral. Good breakfast and a menu of the day is available. Staff are helpful and speak english. There is public underground carpark about 10 mins away.

Entrance fee 6€.4.50€ with Pilgrim Credential,no discount if you stay in Monastery's Hotel. Originates from the 9/10th Century Benedictine monastery. It has a magnificent baldicino (a canopy-type structure) over the altar with choir stalls carved in the 17th century. There is also a treasury and  portrait gallery.

As the cathedral is currently under renovation, it is much better to go to this monastery. It entails a real abundance of masterworks! Incredible wealth in arts. A must!

Frankly speaking it impressed me more than the Cathedral of Santiago. It does not have many visitors, so, you can explore this enchanting place at your own pace and admire wonderful guided carvings.

Special price for pilgrims, for spartan but clean and comfortable bedrooms. Near the centre and the Cathedral, really nice continental breakfast. Recommended.

The museum ticket allows for access to the chirch and the museum. The access to the museum is not accesible for people with dissabilities as it is on the second floor after a set of stairs past the sacristry. The church has a set of chapels that are not only artisitical but worth seeing as they themselves are big. In fact one of them is built with the cross floor plan. The sacristry has four beautifull statues of the four evangelists.

No visitors only clergy and seminary students. Nice bldg. Close to cathedral. I believe the closure to public became effective during Covid to present.

Entered today , Tuesday, and it was free. If this is a regular occurance, I don't know, but I was fascinated by what was on offer inside. Well worth 6 euros.

Second biggest monastery in Spain has many tiny details all over the church's altar and vestry.
