This beautiful park is the perfect place for an enjoyable stroll around, sheltered by various trees, with beautifully maintained flower beds and an ornate pond with river and ornate miniature bridges to walk over. The park is just a few minutes on foot from the Cathedral.

Easily one of the most beautiful parks I have ever visited. Great view of the cathedral, beautiful gardens, places for tanning, reading in the shade, walking and ruminating.

This is a lovely park that has great views of the cathedral however it is not too big and the view is the main thing. Easily accessible from the city centre.

Great city centre park with plenty of seating but no refreshments so take your own. Lovely views of the cathedral and surrounding countryside. At the back.yoy have a magnificent three tiered palladian staircase.

Beside other interesting places in Santiago, I believe that this Park is a very nice place to sit down and rest, enjoying great views of the cathedral and other churches roof tops ;) Often street artists are playing here music or demonstrating their performance but also often homeless people crossing your way asking for some coins...

This is a beautiful park especially at sunset! I loved the peace I felt as I walked thru the many different types of trees. I loved the plaques! I learned about Ginkgo biloba and many others! Highly recommend walking visiting this park!

Parque Alameda is a beautiful public park located in the heart of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. It is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike, offering a serene and peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The park is well-maintained and features a variety of flora and fauna, including trees, flowers, and a pond with ducks and swans. There are also several sculptures and fountains throughout the park, adding to its aesthetic appeal. One of the standout features of Parque Alameda is the stunning panoramic view of the city that it offers. Visitors can climb up to the top of the park to take in the breathtaking scenery, which includes the iconic Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. The park is also home to several cultural and artistic events throughout the year, such as concerts, exhibitions, and theater performances. Additionally, there are several cafes and restaurants located within the park, offering visitors the opportunity to relax and enjoy a meal or a cup of coffee in a peaceful and picturesque setting.

Such a cute park! I can’t believe I hadn’t been before, even though I’ve been to Santiago a handful of times now. The perfect place to listen to some street music while eating lunch on a bench. A must see!

A charming park at the heart of old town. The park is clean, full of different kinds of flowers, trees, walking paths, and it includes amenities like public benches, and water nulls. The most attractive are the amazing views of Santiago Cathedral from the park. You will find a lot of people both locals and tourists. As you walk further you end up with playgrounds. I would say it is dog-friendliy area too. Perfect place for spending a quality time.

A beautiful peaceful garden to walk around and also some great views to see the cathedral. A lot to walk around and enjoy all this nature. Also a nice guide to the flowers with small signs with the names of the flowers. A place worthwhile to visit with time to enjoy. Even take a picnic to eat under the trees.

Such a jewel of a park! Stunning views of the grand cathedral as well as of some surroundings. Great old trees, an art deco bandstand, nooks and crannies in form of benches to sit, rest and take in the views, an architectural bar design to enjoy un cortado and tapas....a lovely and romantic park which allows one rest, time for reflection just a few steps away from the busy old part of this superb little city.
