Please don't be put off by its vaguely soviet-era look, you will be surprised & impressed. This is a great place to stay in A Coruna. Quiet location but within walking distance of old city. Sheltered little 'private' beach within 100m. Perfect for evening walks around headland to the lighthouse NB Tickets to go up can only be bought in the building down in the carpark!! Exceptionally helpful & pleasant staff. Great breakfast. Dinner was wonderful: my wife's salad was not only delicious, but also almost bigger than she is & I had the best tasting & best cooked trout I can remember

I'm giving it 4 Stars because that's what they call themselves -- it's posted out front. I'd give them 4.5 if possible. Great, modern facility with old-fashioned service and a classy feel. Nice exterior gardens, flowers, palms and about 50 yards to the cutest little beach. Long paved walking promenade adjacent, plus light trails along coast -- all the way (and then some, as we'd say in the Airborne) to the Tower of Hercules. Nice room (had an ocean view -- thank you!), superior beds and good shower. Mini-bar (and small bar in lobby from 6pm, I think) in room, comfy arm-chair, desk too. Fantastic breakfast buffet with fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, bacon, scrambled eggs and many other items (all the Cortados I could drink) for 9 euros. I usually don't opt for hotel breakfast but it was raining hard and I'm foot-soldiering, so I did this one. And glad I did. Service was impeccable at every level. Front desk staff all spoke English well -- a surprise in Galicia -- which was appreciated. One cannot go wrong here.

To start positively, the staff members are friendly and there is a big car park free of charge. Regarding the room, keeping in mind that this is a 4 Stars hotel, we were very disappointed. The hotel is very old fashioned. The room was completely worn out. Really annoying: the air condition didn't cool down the room. As a result the nights were rather intolerable (humidity at 90%). Opening the old (and very dirty) window won't help. Furthermore it's pretty loud outside... Night sleep quality was upsetting. WiFi is an absolute hygiene factor. And even this works only pretty slow and with many disruptions. Not critical but fits in: using the gym feels like being in a museum of fitness. The hotel has no welcoming bar for a coffee or something. There are only vending machines and even they don't work as they should. Location is ok close to Hercules tower. It is directly on the coast, what is good of course. But it's a some 30 min walk to center - what is inconvenient, taking into account that there are no restaurants or coffees around. On the same day we checked out we drove to an 1 star Ibis in Spain for half the price. We felt much more comfortable. AC and WiFi working perfectly. And we even got a welcome drink. This Eurostars hotel in A Coruña was both the most expensive and the worst hotel during our 3 weeks road trip in Spain and Portugal. It was our first and last time in a Eurostars hotel. PS. If you are tall, the shower height might give you some "headache".

Room was amazing, extremely comfortable, big and clean. Had a little living room area with a big table, sofa and TV. Bathroom was big too, shower worked great. Awesome pressure and temperature. Fast WiFi. Girl who checked us in was a delightful. Great breakfast: all types of coffee and tea. Bread, cereals, pastries, eggs, bacon, cheese, ham, nuts, dried and fresh fruit, tortilla and amazing brownies! Yoghurt and different kind of juice and water. Breakfast area is big and well attended. Good location, next to the Hercules Tower, a little beach in front of the hotel. There's no official parking lot but there's an area to park in front of the hotel and plenty of free parking places around that area. Water in the lobby didn't work. There was no water in the gym and when I asked for it, they said they didn't have any. There's no microwave in the room.

Thanks for the upgrade to the sea view room! The room was clean and spacious, staff was friendly and the location can’t be beat! We walked along the park for over an hour after we checked out. Just wished it had a hot water kettle.

A very good hotel. Great position with wonderful walks along the coast with spectacular views. Close to the city center and dining area, restaurants, Tapas and drinks. I'll be back.

After completing the pilgrim route from Porto to Santiago de Compostela - I wanted to discover more of Spain. Since I had Torre de Hercules in mind - I was very glad to find this hotel located 1 km. away. Furthermore the location of hotel feels remote; even though you are able to get downtown pretty fast. I checked in quite early, got to the room and was astonished of the view from my room. While still not unpacking I sensed that there was a loooot of noise coming from the room on the next floor. I could hear footsteps, television and people shouting. I had been on the run for 10 days straight walking the camino - and I was definitely in need of a quiet room. I went straight to the reception, and luckily the lady there understood the importance of my need - so she gave me another room free of charge. Now I had a even better room - with a couch from where I leaned back and enjoyed the beautiful view of the ocean. There was no need for a television. The bed was excellent and there was a view from the bath to the ocean aswell!!! The gym is fine aswell. You can definitely get a good workout in - even as an advanced lifter. Only downside that I have to mention again was that I from the new room was able to hear footsteps and noise from above. Next time I will make sure there is no one above me.

Compared to other 4 star hotels I've been, this is by far the one with less amenities. It has no spa, no pool, the gym is closed due COVID and judging from the pictures is not very welcoming (no windows). Finally the breakfast is overpriced in my opinion: luckily I didn't get it with the room and the day I went to check it out, it was missing some healthy options as muesli, cereals, and a variety of yogurts; only things with sugar were available. For a price of 10 Euros I was surprised by the lack of options. I'm leaving 2 stars because the staff was super friendly and the room was nice and spacious (although the wide of the shower was a little bit tight). The hotel felt like a 3 stars.

Hotel is in a beautiful location and on the outskirts of downtown so if you're looking for a calm place beside the sea, lots of green and several monuments to visit, this is your choice. Personnel is really nice and helpful. A couple of negatives: Hotel looks like some renovation could be made. Nothing major but some worn out bits and pieces here and there, the toilet lid wiggled a little bit, stuff like that. Breakfast although really good, didn't have a lot of variety. Not sure if it's because of Covid or if it's always like this. If it's the latter, I find paying 9 euros for it a little excessive.

This has got to be the worst 4 star hotel I have ever had the misfortune of spending a night in. There is no parking reserved for customers. You will need to park nearby. No big deal. Things start to go downhill the moment you step in the hotel. Staff speaks very limited English. I can speak Spanish, but my partner cannot. The decorations in the lobby seems to be out of a movie in the 80s. Old. Let's check the room then. I was given a key and upon entering you start to realize really fast that this hotel barely deserved to be a 3 star hotel. The first thing you notice is that the room is not soundproof as they advertise. You can hear the steps on the carpeted hallway so loudly you would think someone entered your room. The second is the noise of the wind on the windows. Once you get closer to them you quickly realize 2 things: 1- these windows open waaaaay too much. 2- these windows are single glazed, meaning you will be listening to all the wind gusts, which can be very loud. The TV in the bedroom is small and old and you get 1 international channel. There aren't any additional blankets in case you do get cool. Bathroom. In 4 star hotels I am used to see a paper sealing the toilet after it was sterilized. No such thing here.the toilet seat is even chipped in some places. The tap in the sink makes a screeching noise when used. This hotel and any other related with the same chain are never catching me there ever again. Save yourself the disappointment and book somewhere else.

About as good as can be expected from a four star hotel in Spain.
