Awarded the cleanest village in the world. A definite must visit too if you are in Bali. The place might be a little too crowded though. Would enjoy it better if its not so crowded. Nonetheless, interesting to look at the locals' houses and cultures.

One of the touristy spots wherein a typical Balinese village is recreated with living people who allow visitors to see and take pictures of their houses . They also have established small shops and sell souvenir and food to the tourists. They also have a bamboo forest within the complex which is awesome. The temple inside the village is not accessible. There are toilets at the bus parking outside which are in pitiable condition, do not use them, Instead the ones inside the complex are spic and span. Photoworthy visit

Penglipuran village is one of the cleanest village in the world. So agree, no doubt about it. The village is neatly arranged and also clean. You won't see any trash there. Five stars to the experience. The tickets are 25k rupiah for adults and 15k rupiah for children

It's a very picturesque village with lots of photo spots (some deliberately designed to be so, some just a natural part of the village). The villagers sell food and drinks, rent out balinese clothes to take pics in, and do art performances (though I'm not sure whether I was just lucky?) You can also enter some of their houses to see what it looks like inside. A trip here can be as short or as long as you want. You can just come take pics and go, or you can explore all the houses and temple and bamboo forest, try out the various foods, rent clothes, etc.

I didn't need to pay the entrance fee since my friend's friend is the local there. Or maybe because I got there very early (7.30AM). It is a very clean and cultural village. Best tourist village in Indonesia. The people are very friendly. Rent the traditional clothes (kebaya) in one of shops there 50k rupiah for as many hours as you want. The local cafe right at the back of the village is also nice.

Its a popular tourist destination if you want to see traditional Balinese village. Weekend can be very crowded and don't expect you can stroll quietly around the village. You can see the local houses and puras and see what life is like in local village. Due to tourist attraction, don't be surprised that many of the house open stalls selling cheap souvenirs or selling food and drinks. You can rent Balinese traditional dress and take pictures

I don't know why people like this place, We visited at 8.15 am in the morning and saw some people coming out of this place. We wondered why people were coming out in 15 minutes, as this place opened at 8 am. Then we understood that there is nothing to see here. There is a main road and on both sides local people homes are there and some of them are closed. Some people were selling some stuff like clothes, eatable items, hats etc from their home. You can't see Balinese homes from inside here. Such a disappointment. All photos on maps are taken from during some festival 🎎 here, otherwise it is not worth at all coming here. We feel we wasted money and time. I won't recommend visiting this place for free also. Better villages are available all around Ubud.

Spend like only half hours here. Visited this village due to article regarding this village being the cleanest village at Bali. It is indeed clean. You can see the layout of traditional village at Bali with some of them opening their home as tourism site. They sell traditional arts, snack and fruit. Well price is quite expensive. Hard to bargain here. But if you like the view you can spend more time. I wish i visit here during sunset. But i got only noon time.

A magical authentic place. Loved the atmosphere and the kind people. Do not miss the bamboo forest at the top of the village. We had no tour guide so we feel that we missed a bit. Try to come with a local guide, I am sure it would be much better experience. Was not busy when we arrived and very easy access to car park and exit.

A village that becomes tourist attraction since it is called the cleanest village in the world. This place is also good to learn balinese culture. The people are super nice and friendly (you can ask anything about the village). Nowadays you can always see people selling something inside their houses. Good for taking pictures and learning cultures.

What an amazing village! The buildings so historically and traditional. No vehicle allowed inside the village, you can only walk in here. Sometimes crowded because the enthusiastic from the people who visiting this village. Sometimes when you explore into the house, you can find some hidden store, like they sell good stuff or traditional food.

Very exciting experience where we spend approx. 2 hours including lunch for a relatively cheap price. We also rented traditional Balinese clothes which made the whole experience a lot more fun. I would definitely recommend checking this place out!

This village location is very easy to be accessed. To enter, domestic visitor will pay around 15-20k. Penglipuran is very clean, and the villagers is very friendly. You can have a lot of photos here, especially when they held an event. A must visit place here in Bali!

This is probably the best social teamwork of the village members compared to all village around Bali area. They successfully make the best "cultural village" category of tourist site. Entrance fee for local is 25k per person, 50k for international tourist. The place is pretty long and very nice decorated. They consist of 60-70 ish houses that neatly numbered for a tourism info purpose. Each house have same shape but different detail gates. You can enter some of them , mostly the people there open a little shop for drinks and souvenirs. Just like normal village you can find some dogs and other animals around. The location is a bit easy to navigate by big busses and cars. The tourism place itself consist of one main walk pathway with houses and small alleyway at the site, and a temple at the top. You can take photos easily if it's not overcrowded. Overall, great destination, should go here.

This village is very beautiful and the people who live there are very friendly and kind. We were allowed to enter and see the condition of people's houses. many residents sell clothes, souvenirs, food and drinks. I suggest coming to this place in the morning, because it will be crowded with tourists during the day. Above the village there is a fairly extensive bamboo forest. there is a cafe and a large flower plantation.

Absolutely stunning village and the people are so friendly and kind here. You have to pay 50,000 IDR to enter as a foreigner and you get to see the locals selling clothes, souvenirs, foods and drinks. It does get a bit crowded later during the day but best time to visit is the morning.

Very cute village! Was quite a number of tourists there but was still cool. Make sure you explore around it as well. There is a bamboo forest and markets either side of the main strip so make sure you help out the locals. $50,000 entry fee

This village is a true gem! Immerse yourself in history with its beautifully preserved traditional buildings. Vehicles are a no-go, making it a serene walking haven. Picture-perfect Balinese village scenes come to life with friendly locals who graciously allow visitors to capture the charm of their homes. Souvenir shops and food stalls add to the experience. Opting for a morning visit pays off, offering a perfect blend of cool temperatures and fewer crowds. For an extra touch, rent traditional clothes and dive into the rich cultural atmosphere.

I have a doubt that this village is the most clean village in the world. Because i found some trash in this village. I know it because of the visitors. But this village is amazing, they still live in culture. I suggest u to visit this village in thr evening because the sunset will be spectacular. You can also buy some souvenirs here, there are some dress rental if you want to dress like a local Balinese

We went here from Kintamani. 40 minutes rides because of the rain 😁, You need to check the weather before you go if you go with motorbike. . My husband and I were so happy when we arrived here. After we parked our motorcycle, we clean up our self first. The toilet near parking lot. Not far form there we can buy tickets and going in. . Practically you will see the same design of gate in this house complex. You can see the culture and religious aspects on the building. All the house open their gates, some of the people sell drinks, goods or open clothing rentals and offer photograph packages. The tourists looks so beautiful and handsome in the locals cloths. . If you turn right, you can see from a far big Pura at the end of the road. Don't forget to take a picture there. . Each house has different design of private temple. Some have a grand temple, and some have a clean and beautiful garden. Great experience. . I regret not buying durian there 🥰🥰 it looks so yummy but my Husband can't eat it. . We returned to Ubud for 40 minutes rides.

This place is charming but crowded. Many people visited this place, but kinda ok. The villagers were very welcome to the visitors. We could also take a look at their house and learn something there, as each house or area has 4 sections for praying, the bale for meeting, the bedroom for the elderly, and I forgot the last one. There are many numbers of people living in that house. If you have time, you can visit the bamboo forest. It has a nice vibe. It's peaceful. There is a cafe inside.

Should you would like to have the place more quiet you need to go there early in the morning. Therefore you could take as many pictures as you want. The route choice if you ride motorcycles is really nice, it goes with rice fields and green scenery with nice weather.

Very lovely place to visit! Old architecture is spectacular and walking down the road surrounded by these old houses is a great way to explore Bali! Parking for scooters and cars is available at the entrance to the village, there is a fee to enter.

Totally recommended to visit! Awarded one of the cleanest villages on the earth makes it a worth visit. The custom and local tradition, distinctive houses, artistic handcrafts and locally culinary make it no more to skip over Bali. Let's dive within the community. This village just like never before. We will come back soon. Thank you for warm welcome 100 out of 10 ☑️☑️☑️

The village looks clean and they preserved the heritage on the outside, i just wishing they also preserved the heritage in the inside as well. I wish they provided dedicated house for restaurant/food place. Because if some villager have their own food place/restaurant, its just doesn’t fit with the cool view from outside.
