Fantastic, challenging design - especially when it’s windy. However! The course is truly in sorry shape. This is *not* drought related - just go to any of the many world class courses in a 10 mile radius. It’s about the culture in the grounds staff and the budget allocated by the hotel. This is by far the worst-maintained course I’ve ever played at a Ritz Carlton, and is about 2x the price it deserves given the level of maintenance. I play municipal courses in the US where the grounds staff would be fired for leaving the course in this state.

Great course. You can read far better reviews elsewhere. Let down, in my opinion, by lack of a "golf bar." It does have a very upmarket, Michelin starred restaurant with a similar small bar. Unfortunately, it is totally inappropriate for a group of golfers looking for a few post round beers.

A very warm welcome awaits you to this special golf course , the staff are lovely and so is the course . It may cost a few pounds more but this and the old course estoril , are the stand out in Lisbon . Have your weetabix you’ll need it!

Very nice landscape t boxes need to be refurbished, greens need treatment But the best was the price for drinks 7.50€ for a small beer and 16.50€ for Aperol Spritz the nightclubs in Lisboa are less expensive 👏👏👏👏

One of my favourite courses. A nice length from the yellow tees for the average golfer, but the holes get progressively harder towards the end of the round. Nice practice facilities too but why don't they allocate a larger bar area? Every time I play there, seating for a post-round beer is always hard to find..

Probably one of the best golf courses I've played in a while. Great holes. Spectacular scenery and in great condition. Staff were great. Starter was excellent. Great buggies with GPS. The only thing was the price of a pint of beer at the end €10. An absolute rip off...

Today we visited the resort to have lunch and purchase a Christmas present for my father who played here in 1999. He recently gave us a photo of him on the number 7 tee box from that round. So we bought him a golf shirt, etc. But then Gonçalo, who has worked there for 20 years, offered to give us a tour of the course, took our photo on the same tee box, and then presented us with a beautiful photo of the aqueduct on hole 7!! What a great guy, and ambassador for the resort!! We can't wait to visit again and hopefully play golf next time!!

Great course which will suit all golfers. Hilly but no problem in a buggy. Everything in perfect condition. Nice facilities. Only downside is the food available. Now if you want a Michelin starred snack after your round you will have a treat. If you want what hungry golfers want then you will be disappointed. Well worth a visit.

Fun golf course with some exciting holes and nice views. Early tee times were tough to get any practice in as the shop opened at 7 and we're not ready to check you in until 5-10 minutes after, leaving no time for the range. Greens are in good shape, but very slow in the morning because they are being flooded with sprinklers. Service was good, but not like other Ritz Carlton courses where they make you feel like royalty. The Monestary course is a fun one, but in very poor shape. The first tee box says it all.

Beautiful course! They have filtered water which is great! Lots of hills tho. When you arrive just go to the resort instead of the club house.

Very scenic course but some parts of the fairways and all the greens in poor shape. Friendly service but 8 € for a bucket of balls for the driving range is outrageous!
