Halaga is a really nice local restaurant. Their local cuisine lives up to the accolades from locals and tourists alike. If you looking to have a local meal before heading to Olumo rock in the city of Abeokuta, this definitely is a great choice

Halaga Catering Abeokuta is a topnotch, high profile, quality and exquisite eatery. The quality of their national menu is second to none. The dining hall is excellent. Their service is highly commendable. They are well organised. Every of their food items are sumptuous and very palatable. Above all their prices are competitively very cheap and affordable.

This place is rowdy and the service is awful. There is no order in how you are served. Everyone is in front of the counter and it is the person who catches the eye of the server or who can shout louder that gets served first. I stood in front of the display unit for a good 5 minutes waiting to be acknowledged but I was totally blanked until I slapped my hand down on the unit to get their attention. There is a good variety of dishes which is why I like coming here but customer service is bad

This is indeed a great restaurant, I really enjoyed the dish I had with them the last time I came to Abeokuta for a wedding. Excellent indeed. Plus the price is affordable.

I was in Abeokuta Ogun State and the bike man introduced me to HALAGA FOODS @ OKE ATA road to eat one of the Nigerian delicacies which is Amala and Okro. This is a beautiful place to be and a great concept too. The ambience is heavenly. The food is sumptuous The service is above average because most of the ladies at this restaurant are yet to understand what "CUSTOMER SERVICE" is all about. I recommend that the staff are properly trained and made to understand that beyond good meal customers want to go home with beautiful experience. The staff at HALAGA FOODS @ Oke Ata road are not friendly and they crowd the space just to chat away. The management must look into this.

If you ever visit the city of Abeokuta or you live there, Halaga is the best place to have your homemade food especially the abula they offer, it is always top-notch.

  • 5Osho O. 11 months ago
The food was excellent and affordable. They have a wide array of offerings but it is always busy. There is a VIP section upstairs if you want to avoid the queue to purchase your food. There, they charge a small fee to bring the food to your table.

The food is quite ok but the only issue I have with the Ita-osin branch is their customer service, their staff(food servers) are very very rude and nonchalant. My experience there this evening is not an exciting one at all and this is the second time I would experience this kind of attitude from the staff there. Please do something about this and also please let the names of each staff be attached to their outfit so it's easier to identify which of them is coming up with this attitude.

The service was really bad. Combo of loud music and lousy staff - plus the food wasn't great. They definitely need to do better!

A busy place situated on a narrow road. No parking space, you have to opt for roadside parking. Long list meals varieties. Enough number of workers to attend to million customers. Ohh and you can also explore different levels of experiences of food ordering, dining spots...you definitely get food from any of the building floors

Food was nice...this was my go to spot for food all through my stay in ABK...pounded yam, fried rice and jollof was on point but the need to improve their packaging especially when I ordered soup for my poundede in a takeaway, it all spilled away bfre I got back to my hotel...they need bigger space due to crowd omg 😲 😅 cause food are nice online ordering was good but very slow to response and delivery

The once much admired restaurant is becoming fast depreciating in value and quality. So called VIP where you pay 1k per head as service charge not conducive, staff kids sit on dining table and making a hell of noise disturbing customers, staffs , supposed mothers just sitting around careless of customers comfort. Also the poundo and Amala we eat on Monday June 13th was too soft and we could only manage to eat half of the plate served.

I like the place and the food. Found their food quite oily at times but it's still a great outlet. Only downsides are it gets very very crowded at times and there's no proper parking space.

The best place to quench your hunger with local dishes. Different varieties of food are available, from fried rice, jollof rice, seafood, fried plantation, fried chicken, fried meat, ofada rice, pounded yam, semo, eba, vegetable soup, ewedu soup, egusi soup, assorted meat and others. The place could be crowded but their service is topnotch with servers and ushers readily available to serve you. Halaga also does home delivery service with the city of Abeokuta without delay.

Their meals always meets expectations. Always yummy and tasty. The VIP lounge was worth the extra charges per head although it would have been nice to know there's extra charges on the meals for VIP users asides the charges already paid per head to use the VIP lounge as this was contrary to what we were told when we got in.

Such a great meal. Home away from home.

I took a trip to Abeokuta and was searching round town for the kind of local food served in a modern ambience like I get in Ibadan. Halaga came highly recommended and I enjoyed every bit of their food. Had to return the next day for a repeat. Lovely, tasty, fresh local delicacies void of heavy chemical seasonings is what you get here. The crowd is there but service is fast and clears out quickly.

I have heard so much about this place and decided to try it out. Went at lunch time so it was crowded. I opted for the vip sitting space upstairs which afforded me the luxury of my order being taken. I paid for the 1k lounge. There is the 500 naira option too. Ambience in the vip section especially where I was was cool. Staffing: I will rate this place low on staff attitude. The lady who served me came with my pounded yam in a plate, she drooped my soup bowl and all of a sudden she said she was coming and drooped my pounded yam on the bare table and went off to get a plate. I was shocked . I called the attention of her colleague who non challantly told me the other lady was coming (she apparently didn't see anything wrong in it) . When the lady came back, I called her attention to it and she still didn't see anything wrong in it as she was arguing. I weak!! (Picture attached). The food was placed a bit far from me and not well arranged Food: amazing vegetable soup. Fresh pounded yam but e no draw at all. It was just scattering. I will visit again if I recover from my shock as the food wasn't bad

  • 4ADEOLA A. 1 year ago
A nice restaurant with good food and superb customer service at the VIP section. However, it is a crowded place because everyone just wants to have a taste of Halaga🤗 I'll remember to take pictures next time.

The place is nice but tooo crowded, why should I have to wait for hrs before getting served. Thr food is okay also.

Nice service upstairs though you have to pay N500 per head if you seat upstairs. Upstairs is considered VIP

  • 5Johnson A. 2 years ago
Excellent Restaurant for both local and continental dishes. Space for both exclusive and "open to all" diners.

Nice place with reserve sitting for VIP and VVIP guest

  • 5Mayowa O. 2 years ago
Great place. Has a VIP where you pay N500 to sit. And VVIP where you pay N1000. In these areas, you don't have to wait on queue to eat. Just go sit and your order would be brought to you fast. You have someone waiting on you.

No 1 resturant in Abeokuta. They serve local and international cuisines. They don't accept POS for now so hold your cash. Though you can get POS Agents around the area.

If I had my way, I would eat in or take away all day everyday. Still my no 1 stop shop for all things food in Abeokuta. I highly recommend you try it.
