This
bus
park
is
an
iconic
one
with
many
childhood
memories
between
1997
-2000,
when
I
attended
school
as
a
boarding
student
at
Nawarudeen
Grammar
School,
Obantoko,
Abeokuta.
I
returned
to
board
a
bus
(Mazda
Van)
back
to
Lagos
after
a
scheduled
visit
to
Adigbe.
The
environment,
people,
stalls
and
floors
of
the
garage
were
the
same
since
2000
when
I
last
saw
it.
Passengers
boarding
busses
here
should
be
extremely
vigilant
and
observant
of
the
vehicles
they
board
and
the
drivers.
As
early
as
7
a.m.,
I
caught
the
driver
meant
to
drive
us
to
Lagos
State
buying
alcoholic
beverages
(schnapps)
packed
in
4
sachet
that
he
wants
to
ingest
prior
to
taking
his
position
at
the
driver
seat.
I
made
sure
he
discard
it
with
the
threat
to
report
him
to
the
park
chairman
or
the
police.
He
later
claimed
it
was
a
normal
thing
for
many
drivers
at
that
park
to
take
alcohol
prior
to
driving
as
it
makes
them
become
more
alert.
I
immediately
corrected
him
and
share
more
of
the
dangers
of
driving
under
the
influence
alcohol
and
the
deadly
associated
health
risk.
It
is
well.
