Ok first off, I have never seen a garlic and chilli naan quite as big as the one we were presented with. So if you’re hungry, this is the place to be. Having not visited Shahbaaz before we decided to opt for a few different dishes that were highlighted to us by our server on the night. The food was outstanding and genuinely I couldn’t fault it (apart from one or two elements of the mixed starter being slightly over cooked). The only thing - and it’s a very minor thing - that let this place down for me was the lack of atmosphere. However, we did dine in on a Tuesday night, so to can imagine the weekend would be much busier and buzzing with chatter. All in all a fantastic restaurant in the heart of Aberdeen.

Taken here with a friend on a business trip, probably the best Indian food I've actually had in the UK. It was delicious, quick, and brilliant service all through the night. It will be my go to when I am in Aberdeen again. Very good with my nut allergy too, it was not a concern for them at all.

This is, by far, my favourite Indian Restaurant of all time. Such fantastic meals and curries served from mild to spicey. The atmosphere is fabulous, staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, and I always leave with a smile on my face. The prices are a little on the expensive side, but certainly worth it. All meals are cooked to order and they offer take out options too.

I arrived here only 20 minutes before closing and still got really nice service which is one of the most important reasons to give it all stars. Food was delicious..just like home..and ordered just one chapatti but it was so smooth and tender...so I had to order another... taste of everything I ordered was really good and yes the restaurant was also very clean and tidy up...

Best Indian takeaway in Aberdeen. Ordered for the whole family. Ordered a Korma for the children and requested non dairy if possible. Got a call back to say it had dairy in but we ordered anyway as only dish the 2 year old will eat. When we went to pick up they explained they'd be 5 minutes late as they had to run out to the shop to get coconut milk for a non dairy Korma. Excellent customer service. Went out of their way to meet our needs. Food was absolutely delicious as well! The Chicken Chatkharedar was amazing!

Recently visited the Shabaaz and the food was excellent. we then ordered a delivery a couple of weeks later and the food again was excellent!! I love lamb dishes but only when it’s tender and no fat and that’s exactly what you get here … can’t wait to go back!!

Had a meal here last week. Excellent! The service was very good from start to finish. Starters are just a nice size and the mixed pakora is absolutely delicious. The menu for mains is huge, with something for everyone. I opted for a Dhansak which was just so flavorful. Don't forget the poppadoms and the naan bread! Thoroughly recommended. Went back again a few years later. This place is still just a good. Excellent and thoroughly recommended

Very nice. Can’t fault the food or service. Ordered for a birthday meal. Chicken and lamb dishes were great.

We have used Shahbaaz delivery for years, as it is so good, and often arrives earlier than expected. We usually order Chicken Korma and Murgh Lahore, a spinach side dish, naan breads , and pilau rice. Very generous helpings and we find that two main courses feed three people easily.

We just had dinner at Shanbaaz. The food was very very good, so good, and the service was friendly and warm. A must go place in Aberdeen city .

We've had 2 takeaways delivered in the last month and both have been excellent. Arrived on time, and nice and hot. I called the restaurant with some queries about vegan options and they were very helpful and accommodating. All meat eaters, veggies and vegans were well catered for and impressed with the quality and taste. Portions are generous, good value for money, we will be repeat customers for sure!

Having been a regular for many years it is great to see that the new owner has maintained the same Menu, Chefs & quality. Also the Onion Bhajis are now even better.

This restaurant has been refurb’d since our previous visit a few years ago and looks very nice. The staff were very pleasant (also an improvement.) They warn you on the menu that all dishes are cooked individually so to expect a delay and we certainly got that; we didn’t order starters and mains took about 45 minutes. However, the food was delicious and it’s from an extensive menu that offers all the favourites plus a great selection of specialities. Good selection for vegetarians too.

My partner and I had a lovely experience. We have frequented the Shahbaaz for years and when we heard it was new owners we were quite sad. The new owners have certainly kept the food & service spot on it was very tasty and service was amazing . Definitely will be back l.

Only in Aberdeen for 1 night and stumbled across this place, pleased we did the food was excellent, friendly staff so all good, got put in a corner table so only let down.

From so many Indian restaurants around, Shahbaaz is one of the best in the city. Only quality services as well the food is just amazing. Affordable prices and really nice atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone in love with this food.

This is a great restaurant with great food, a nice atmosphere and lovely staff. The service was excellent, we weren’t rushed at all and were allowed to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. The food was delicious and I would highly recommend it!

Grabbed a take away. The staff were really nice and the online ordering system was good. But this is probably the worst korma I’ve ever had. Rice and naan were alright but I rather pay a little more and go somewhere else

Excellent food and speedy delivery (especially considering it was NYE). Typically I jump between a few different Indian restaurants however I'll likely stick with Shahbaaz now as the last 3 meals have bettered those from the rest.

Have now eaten in twice recently & got a take away at the weekend. Included with our order was poppadoms & onions & mango chutney which was much appreciated. Food has been lovely & staff are very friendly & really make an effort to make you feel welcome in the restaurant. Booked to go back this weekend.

First class service ,food is best in town for an Indian, been going there for 33 years never lets you down.

Used to be my fave Indian in Aberdeen, but haven’t been for years. Picked up a takeaway. Was “ok”, but not great, the mains were swimming in ghee. First time I haven’t seen the old owner there, so guessing it may have changed hands?

We are a family off seven, and we all had a Fantastic time once again at our favourite restaurant, maybe that’s also why we have been going to this restaurant for over 30 years. The meal, Staff and Atmosphere outstanding, the staff couldn’t do enough to help us.

Ordered a delivery 7/10/22 which arrived late and cold and missing some dips. But the biggest surprise was the BBQ prawns which for £7.75 per portion contained 2 prawns, previously there were 8. Being a customer of the restaurant for 30+ years we were shocked at how much their standards have dropped when it comes to their customers. This is not an isolated experience as I've heard from other customers that they have had the same issues. We love the food from this restaurant, but we won't be ordering again until they address how they treat their customers.

We first visited the Shahbaaz over forty years ago and have visited on numerous occasions since and the standard has never changed - first class. On this occasion the food was superb and the staff were very attentive and couldn't do enough to make our visit pleasurable. We would definitely recommend the Shahbaaz for a great place to eat out.

Online ordering to pick up/be delivered couldn’t have been easier. Great service and delicious food as always.

My husband and 2 sons were on a celebratory meal celebrating the future of the publishing of his book. The meal we had was absolutely delicious. The poppodums were light and crispy with yummy spiced onions and mango chutney. We ordered main meals of chicken, lamb and vegetarian which were so tasty and delicious and OMG the peshwari nan bread was awesome. The staff were helpful friendly and very efficient. The owner/manager, an elderly gentleman was full of character and fun. Before we departed we were offered a drink on the house. I would 100% recommend this restaurant which is not only the best in Aberdeen but the best Indian meal I have had.

First occasion here & it was very busy but staff were attentive & food was delicious & plentiful. Everything was spotlessly clean .. It was rather cool so I would recommend coming with a cardigan lady's.

First visit in a long time and wasn't disappointed! Staff very friendly and service quick. Staff are happy to help and answer any questions about menu. One of the best chicken Karachi I've ever had, spices were delicious, nann is quite big so one does two. Menu tells you what is gluten free/dietary requirements. Definitely became one of my recommended restaurants to visit in Aberdeen

The best in town!! Been coming here for 3 years now and it never fails to impress. There's always a cheery welcome when you arrive and the staff are so helpful.
