😠 I am very disappointed with this service. Since receiving my eye test and glasses less than six months ago, I feel like I have taken up residence within the store. I have had to return on four/five different occasions to have the lenses corrected as each time they got it wrong causing eye strain and...     Horrendous attitude of some of the staff. No people skills. Impolite and unfriendly. In particular the lady who answers the phone. Confrontational and rude. 18 months of rescheduled appointments, and cancellations and now they hold my contact lenses to ransom. Agreed on an appointment over the phone, but this was never updated on the computer system, still can't get my contact lenses. Showed up be, be treated like I had made a mistake. Staff on duty would not listen. Disappointed and angry.

    I am very disappointed with this service. Since receiving my eye test and glasses less than six months ago, I feel like I have taken up residence within the store. I have had to return on four/five different occasions to have the lenses corrected as each time they got it wrong causing eye strain and headaches. When finally I got the glasses I actually needed, I have had to return another twice to have them tightened as the frames are very loose now. Today I have to visit again as now the lense has fallen out of the frame. This has to be rectified as it is not the best customer service to be honest.

    Too many people allocated appointments at the same time, very crowded within small space. Waiting chairs side by side no distances between seats. Reasonable price however upon collection a more experienced staff member should be doing the fittings. New frames mangled and twisted out of shape. Would NOT recommend

    Very busy and very distracted optician. The prescription given was too strong. I returned to the shop and after some checks made a second eyetest apt. This time very nice relaxed optician less people in shop. But I was treated as if it was my mistake, never received an apology or an explination how it happened. I was promised a phone call when the new priscription was ready, they didnt call. So this time Specsavers have definitly lost a customer, I was also asked at the entrance ethinicity? What a question for an optician!

    I’m becoming a somewhat a regular to Specsavers Union Street for all the WRONG reasons. During my 1st eye exam the optician took the wrong prescription. I don’t know how was possible… But the exam felt very rushed and the shop was extremely busy. I was also asked my ethnicity, what does that have to do with glasses/eyes. On my 2nd visit they re-tested my eyes and adjusted some measurements in the lenses. I was told they would NOW base the prescription off of my older glasses - something I found very odd as it’s basically common sense to start off there. My 3rd visit I never received a reminder/call for the appointment. Luckily I remembered. I left the shop not being to see 100% out of my right eye. I was told quite rudely to keep trying them and there was a note placed on my file. I am now dealing with a watery right eye and not being able judge curbs and steps properly. Along with excessive dizziness! I have wore glasses for 20+ years and I’ve never faced issues like what I’ve described above. I’m strongly considering getting a refund and going elsewhere. I shouldn’t have gone to Specsavers! * * UPDATE * * I received a FULL REFUND and won’t be going back to Specsavers any time in the future.

    Both me and my partner got a pair of specs from them and had nothing but problems since (never had any problems with previous pairs done somewhere else). My partners specs broke after a year and offcourse it's not covered by any warranty. Won't be coming back, waste of time and money. Horrible.

    Popped in this morning for a contact lens appointment. Kim was extremely helpful & was amazing. All the staff were super friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend using this store, amazing overall experience 👌

    Our appointment was on Sat 23rd Jan.I felt I had to post a review as it was such a pleasant experience from start to finish. My Son has special needs and I was able to be with him for support. The Staff, from The Manager at the start, The Optician and the lady who helped us choose glasses were friendly, professional, exceptionally helpful and patient with us. Unfortunately I don’t know their names to mention individually but they were all exceptional. We also felt very safe their as their COVID-19 H & S procedures were also exceptional. Thank you.

    Very good and professional service. The examination took about 40 minutes. During the examination everything was explained to me which made me feel comfortable. During the examination, you could feel the professionalism and commitment of the optician. I highly recommend. I will definitely go back there again

    Booked a same-day emergency appointment to get my eyes checked after recommendation from the hospital… Arrived late due to traffic but the staff were AMAZING! Managed to squeeze me in & had me sorted out in no-time using their cutting edge technology.

    Very helpful and professional staff.. I’ve had some issues with my contact lenses which Kim has taken the time to call me with solutions. When I purchased my glasses the team were great at advising the best deal for me, Highly recommended.

    The team here are all super professional, friendly, and efficient. I’m always impressed by them. On this particular visit they couldn’t have been more helpful. I got contact lenses for the first time. Kim talked me through it and Ross walked me through the process of putting them in and removing them. I greatly struggled with this, but Ross was patient and offered helpful advice throughout. Got there in the end! Great value and customer care. Thank yous :)

    I had my eye exam done today by Rachel and it was hands down the best and most informative test I have ever had, I hope to see her for my next one! Chau Lin helped pick out my next frames and she was completely honest about her professional opinion of which frames would best suit my face. She picked out some amazing frames for me and I am looking forward to picking them up. Amazing staff!

    Assessment looked like his granny had died, could not get my glasses to fit right for 20 odd mins so I didn't bother getting the other pair done ad went in yesterday and really lovely ladies sorted it in less than 5 minutes, apart from that never had anything to complain about at all so I Always come here. Also why give a ticket for 50 quid off to someone who has bought 2 pairs that lasts 6 Months. Surely 2 years when you would be getting new ones. Also is not transferable I'd love to know how many actually used

    Christie was excellent with helping me choosing my new specs, very polite and friendly. Erin, who took the measurements etc of my specs, equally polite, friendly and helpful. Very pleasant experience, which I hadn't planned, but one leg of my specs broke. Offering a good deal with second pair free. Well done Specsavers.

    Busy place. I arrived about 15min early but was taken straight to a cubicle for my first test. Each stage was handled efficiently with only a couple of minutes wait between them. Tests were thorough, and discovered the early signs of an eye condition which will be kept an eye (sorry) on with future annual check ups. Staff were all friendly and polite and took the time to explain the tests and results, and to help choosing the type of glasses I needed and the frames - without trying to push more expensive options. They even replaced the nose pieces on my existing (not Specsavers) reading glasses foc.

    Very helpful both when I decided to get contact lenses again and when I had to go back at a later point due to an unrelated eye infection. Extremely efficient despite it being very busy and were very polite. I'd definitely recommend to others

    Thank you to staff who helped when my prescription didn't seem quite right. Jason was so calm and helpful. Michael took time to carry out an eye test again so that I got glasses that worked. All assistance from a number of staff was excellent.

    My experience here was brilliant, and everything was relatively breezy, from booking my appointment, to attending, to interacting with staff. I felt very cared for by everyone who attended to me and they made me really feel like they wanted the best eye health for me. The variety of glasses and frames available is impressive, and there is a reasonable range of customisations that can be done on your glasses. Thumbs up, I definitely recommend.

    This is my 1st time visiting specsavers. The staff were extremely polite and professional. Even though I couldn't get the glasses I wanted, due to time. They made a note and I will be going back to order them at the same time as I get a call about my contact lenses.

    The whole experience from start to finish was professional. The staff were warm, friendly, polite, caring and all had a great sense of humour. Nothing was too much trouble. Explanations were given at every stage and to every question asked. There’s a great range of glasses; different styles and colours to suit everyone’s taste.     First time visiting this branch as I am fairly new to Aberdeen (there was no fuss as to where my previous branch was - easy to book an appointment). High customer service from the front desk to the purchasing of my glasses. The branch offered a huge and diverse range/selection of glasses and I was able to purchase two styles that I absolutely loved! Claire, the staff member who helped me decide which glasses to go for was patient and friendly. Felt so happy when leaving the store, will definitely return if needed! :)

    Actually had a fantastic experience in Specsavers yesterday. The lad who greeted me was extremely helpful & friendly then I was introduced to Nadia who was lovely. She was patient, reassuring, helpful, friendly. Basically she couldn’t have been nicer. Came out feeling very happy that I’d visited. Excellent service. 🥰

    Although it seems cramped for distancing purposes its, well proportioned, and seating managed appropriately with hand sanitizers around the vacinity, my experience has been a good one, staff were patient, knowledgable and pleasant to converse with, I left with a feeling of contentment, knowing I was in good hands, thank you to all the staff for their cheerful, kind approach.

    Just wanted to record my thanks for the excellent service I found at Aberdeen Specsavers this morning. I turned up with a prescription expecting to make an appointment to buy spectacles, but was immediately assigned to Alison, who made me feel very relaxed as a first time visitor. She was endlessly patient and helped me focus (did you see what I did there?) on selecting suitable frames, then explained the range of varifocal lenses and how they can be customised, which is quite complex. but Alison made everything clear and easy to follow. I can't believe the quality of service and I would have no hesitation in recommending Specsavers.

    First class service from the audiology department at the Union Street, Aberdeen store. Kieran was very helpful on the phone, giving me advice and then persevering to get hold of me when a cancellation appointment became available. Kate, the audiologist who I saw, was great. She was professional and friendly. She explained everything very well, carried out the procedure efficiently, and gave helpful aftercare advice. Thank you both!

    Im sorry to say that this is the second time my prescription has been off. What makes it worse for me this time is that I used my birthday money I got from my folks to pay for my glasses. Don’t get me wrong the selling of the frames is 5/5. The attitude after I told them I could see far away fine but up close was a bit more off stank a bit. I have to pull my glasses to the end of my nose to read and write and has made my frames unstable causing the lenses to loosen that I have to pop them back in. I wish I could get a redo or refund but it’s been a while. So will have to suffer till I get another due test or get the money together. I also was unable to return due to illness and working nights. I would go back but not to get my eyes tested and I’m sorry but I would not recommend for eye testing but I would recommend for the selling of frames. I just hope I am not refused entry when I return for new frames.
