In my overall assessment, I would rate this place with 3 stars. The location is convenient, situated right off the freeway, which is a positive aspect. The staff was friendly and accommodating, which made for a pleasant experience. The breakfast served was good and well-maintained. However, the rooms themselves left much to be desired. The pull-out mattress provided a poor sleeping experience as you could feel the springs and bars uncomfortably. While the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were extremely small, think of a phone booth (gen-x). Additionally, the appearance of the bath tubs gave off a dated and unclean look, despite their likely cleanliness.

The hotel common spaces are very beautiful with lots of tropical plants. Unfortunately the rooms are run down and outdated. There was mold in the bathroom and the furniture really needs to be thrown out. The couch and chairs are stained, dirty, and have years in some places. Please get rid of the carpet in the rooms! It is so unsanitary. The staff has been helpful and polite. Overall. It is a beautiful hotel but really needs updating

The wife and I are generally users of house rentals through a particular app. This trip, our entry into said house was a total mess. Code didn't work on the door & the cleaning crew had locked the actual door knob. After we tried to get in around 10:30p, we were faced with finding accommodations quickly for some much needed rest. Embassy Suites to the rescue! Now, we will not stay anywhere else when we visit family in Lubbock. Everything was phenomenal! While an older hotel, it didn't leave us wanting in any way. Service from the staff is top-notch and the food is exceptional! Plus, the lobby/commons area where meals can be enjoyed and business can be done is super nice. Then, you add the bar area that includes an evening of complimentary drinks is so cool! In a pinch, looking for somewhere to lay our heads, we stumbled upon the place that has become our goto for all future stays!

The hotel staff were miserable. The rooms need some major help. Beds hard, air didn't work, vents covered in dust and lint, needed new filters, it is extremely overpriced for what you get. The hot water didn't work. If you arrive late, it is hard to find someone to help. The breakfast was okay. If you want anything other than fruit, eggs or oatmeal you have to order and wait. That's fine, but they need to have bacon, sausage on buffet. I was very disappointed in this property. Other reviews were good, but I had a very bad experience and will not return when I am in town for work.

We did not stay here so I can't rate the service but I can say the interior of this hotel is beautiful and lively at night. My daughter had a birthday party she went to here and they got to play in the pool and the room was a decent size for all the kids to play. This hotel is about a block away from South Plains mall.

VERY DISAPPOINTING In the first room we had, the heater did not work. It was 65 degrees in the room. Also, the ceiling had black stains near the vent. When we asked someone to come in he mentioned that it did not work and to turn it off and that it may then work. Also mentioned that the black stains were probably due to smoke. Since we were freezing we asked for another room. The new room was warm. Unfortunately, the air conditioner in that room didn't work so instead we stayed in a room that was higher than 75 degrees. We asked maintenance for help and said the same thing. Also, the door to the bathroom had the strip coming off so when closing the bathroom door one would need to hold the strip to close the door. We paid 200.00 a night for what I thought was going to be a 4-star hotel and instead, we got something that resembled 1.5 stars. I will never be going to embassy suites in Lubbock Texas again.

This hotel may have been beautiful, but it is starting to show its age; furniture is marred and scratched, electrical needs upgrade with new light switches and USB ports. Complimentary breakfast with made to order eggs was wonderful and kudos to Russell who made them perfectly. A nice stay overall.

Warmly inviting and comfortable property. Walking into the hotel for the first time was a pleasant surprise. The interior transforms you to a place where all that's going on in the world gets checked at the door and a sense of calm washes over you. You have to experience it to appreciate it after a long day of driving and/or work. The property and rooms are well maintained and clean. The rooms are comfortable. The staff is hospitable. The breakfast is good. Parking is easy. I would defiantly recommend this Embassy Suits.

Well I hate to speak poorly about an Embassy because my family and I have always had great experiences but this one inparticular is in need of a major remodel. I wouldn’t mine so much but the price should match the quality and in this case it did not. There is nothing good I can say about the room. The furniture was so worn and dinged up, the desk was bowed in the center. The queen beds looked more like full size and they were not comfortable. The sleeper sofa was in no way able to hold two people. The pipes squealed every time we flushed the toilet. The drain was clogged in the bathtub. I really wish I would have read the reviews before choosing this hotel but I just assumed it was going to be nice because it’s an Embassy. Please at least refurnish the rooms for goodness sake.

Woke up to housekeeping banging on my door and literally was attempting to reach her hand through the door and undo the burglar latch on the door. Sorry but I’m not a fan of having hotel staff trying things like break into my room. She claimed she was sorry and that she thought the room was empty. How would a room be empty if the latch is locked from the inside? Also doesn’t leave me feeling safe if you can undo the burglar latch from the outside. Doesn’t that defeat the purpose? Never staying here again. If checkout is at 11, don’t try to break into your guests room 3 hours before checkout.

Why the change? The 5-7 Manager's Happy Hour was why this was our go-to for staying when in Lubbock. Now, there is a two-drink limit and ticket that you must give the bartender. The rooms are beginning to show some age and wear, the hot tub didn't have bubbles, and the cable was hit or miss. All things amounted to a less than exemplary experience.

My family and I recently traveled here for a family reunion. I thought I'd give my impressions as a handicapped traveler who uses a mobility scooter. The staff seemed very professional and warm. It certainly is an interesting place with a large internal courtyard with seating and plants. As for the room, We found the beds to be very comfortable but the layout was a little strange, as one of the beds partially obstructed the passage from the seating room to the bedroom. I could get past but it was a bit of a squeeze. There were enough outlets and the WiFi speed and coverage was good. The bathroom, though small, was surprisingly good at muffling the sounds of someone else taking a shower. It was configured such that the toilet and bath are in one little room with the sink and sink area being adjacent. The included morning breakfast buffet was very good, with the options of make your own waffles and made to order omelettes and eggs. It's good to see hot breakfasts coming back. The use of the open courtyard, rather than the usual sterile large room, with plenty of seating made breakfast even more enjoyable. One thing that hurt my enjoyment of the room was the use of daylight florescent lighting. Now that warm white LED bulbs are available, I would have liked to see them used instead. In addition to the alienating lighting in the room, small dings were go for the high cost of beverages and snacks by the front desk, and a finicky door lock on our room, and the need for better layout of the handicapped parking. I would recommend this place, especially for families and get togethers and would stay here again in the future if I found myself visiting Lubbock.

Great location and very well laid out. A good getaway from the hubbub of work. The entire staff was gracious and attentive. If there were any critique at all it would be to expand the pool, it was pretty crowded the entire time I was there.

Stayed here for business and had a very relaxing stay. The free breakfast was great and they had a variety of options from custom omelettes, yogurt, breakfast bars, fresh fruit, biscuits and gravy, eggs, potatoes, and waffles. My favorite part was their Manager’s Reception where you can some free drinks at the bar and snacks like chips and salsa. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable and the beds were plush. Although it is located by the highway, it was very quiet. The staff was very friendly, from housekeeping to bartenders to the front desk reception. I would highly recommend this location for a stay!

The room we were in definitely needed an update. The wallpaper was peeling and the bathroom was small and dated. Other than that, our stay was fantastic. All of the staff, Bea in particular, were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was fantastic, especially the made-to-order omelets. The location was very good. I really enjoyed the plants and water features throughout the hotel. All in all, the other aspects of the stay made up for the outdated room.

This place has a lot going for it but it is old and quite large with a strange layout. It’s a Hilton property so I was able to use the app for everything including my key. The breakfast is great, the rooms are spacious.

I had to keep getting new key cards because they wouldn't work. After they switched my room it worked. I chose this hotel because of the pool, but it was closed right after we got there at 8:20 on a Saturday night. They said they had to clean it with chemicals and it would be open in the morning. It was not opened the whole time we were there. I had a disappointed 5 year old.He will get over it, but I don't see us staying here again.

Breakfast is great as well as the evening reception. Hotel is old but that is the charm. Only problems we have are, we were given a room right on the freeway and the noise kept me up all night. Also the shower is just a dribble. Bad shower can leave a unfavorable impression of a very nice place and is a simple fix.

First, let me say that the employees here are fantastic and exemplify the service I expect from the Hilton family of hotels. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is the physical condition of the hotel compared to other Hilton hotels. It is definitely dated now and I had a couple of issues with the tub draining and the air conditioning not cooling the room. The staff quickly fixed the drainage the first day and the air problem happened on my last night and the staff didn’t have a chance to correct that. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was decent. I will say that I wish this hotel and others would have the TVs configured to where you could connect a streaming device to it, since many people like me, prefer to stream out shows instead of watching cable TV.

Glad I found this hotel for the occasional trips I'll be making to Lubbock. Breakfast is definitely a high point. Can't beat the made to order omelets. The other food is very good also. The happy hour is my favorite of course. I've had better food at other hotels during happy hour but beer, wine, and spirits are the same everywhere. The beds are decently comfortable but the rest of the furniture could be refreshed. Overall great experience at this hotel with staff. Will continue to stay here when in Lubbock.

This has been the best hotel stay I've had in a long time. The staff is so friendly, the room is so comfortable, the ambiance is beautiful, breakfast tastes amazing and the gym is nice too. It is an older property and has the classic embassy suites garden atrium feel. I have honestly loved it. The hotel has been well kept. I highly recommend the Embassy Suites Lubbock.

We stayed at this hotel while attending a graduation at Texas Tech University. The hotel is very nice and in a good location for most things in Lubbock. The people working there were really nice and took good care of us. We really enjoyed the made to order breakfast each morning. This was probably the best part of the stay. The rooms are okay but very outdated and cheap furniture. Lots of wear and tear on the furniture. For what you get, it was a little overpriced in my opinion.

Just went on a popcorn visit to Lubbock with my grandkids. We liked Embassy suites a lot! It's right across from the mall. The Embassy Suites is nice with an indoor pool and decent breakfast. If I were to critique anything it would be that the living room furniture could use updating but everything was neat and clean. The pool area was nice and the grounds are very nice. The Embassy is a little hard to get to but that maybe because I don't know the area. All and all it was a great experience.

I always stay here when visiting Lubbock! If you love made to order breakfast and happy included at no charge, stay here! My kids and I appreciate the attentive staff at this hotel. It is an older hotel but very well kept. If you don’t mind it being outdated, best place in Lubbock to stay. I will keep booking here.

Great service from time of arrival till departure. Breakfast was really good and fresh made items were a nice bonus. Room was clean and pool area was nice. Free unlimited drinks during manager reception hour was A BONUS(530-7). I will definitely stay here next time I’m in Lubbock.

Great staff. They all took care to ensure a pleasant experience. Hotel is dated. AC did not cool the bedroom. However, the staff earned the rating. With some infrastructure updating, would give 5 stars.

I almost didn’t book because of some reviews were so negative…is the furniture a little outdated? Sure is the pool missing some stucco on the bottom? Sure but is it clean? Very is the atmosphere awesome? Yes heck yes the staff is friendly the complimentary drinks and snacks during happy hour is almost unheard of these days…very family friendly kid friendly place to stay..:it’s a treat here and we’re so so so glad we came…if you’re going to Lubbock for fun doctors appointments or business this is the place to stay especially if the kiddos are with you

We had several rooms for our wedding night and the days leading up to it. The staff could not have been more friendly and attentive. The lock on our room had a small problem, but several people went out of their way to help us with it, and every time I did have to go to the desk the people knew my name and greeted me with congratulations for the wedding. The night of the wedding the bar tender even lead the guests in a round of applause as we walked in, and there was a small gift waiting in our room! All in all an absolutely wonderful experience, and we will definitely be staying here on all of our trips to Lubbock from now on!

Great hotel for our last night of a 3 day road trip back home. While the property and furnishings are a little dated, the staff were amazing from check-in/out, housekeeping to the food and beverage team. Larry the night time cook and Paige the bartender were superb. Larry prepared an amazing Chicken Tortilla soup (or stew in my opinion) and Paige took great care of our needs while waiting for dinner. As expected from an Embassy Suites property, the breakfast was great and the entire breakfast team were in full "exceed" customer expectations mode. We stayed in Room 328 and do recommend replacing the desk chair. Thanks to the entire Embassy Suites Team for their efforts to make our stay as outstanding as possible.

I enjoyed my stay at the Embassy Suites. The room was very clean, the bed was comfy, and they had a decent complimentary breakfast. The hotel is in a good central location as well. I would recommend it.

Great service! Pool was great but needs to patch the pool bottom lots of loose asphalt. So wear swim shoes. Snack bar was delicious each time. Great idea. Food all good.

We enjoyed our stay here! It was such a relaxing atmosphere. The staff was wonderful! The atrium was beautiful and the reception was also a Great addition, and makes this hotel stand out from others. We will definitely be back!

Hotel is beautiful. Employees were very helpful and nice. The rooms do need updated. The air conditioner did not work correctly, keeping us hot until in the middle of the night. And there was mold in the bathroom around the tub. The breakfast was the best we had ever enjoyed at a hotel. Before committing to a room go check it out. If you get an updated good room you will have a very nice stay.

  • 4/5 Sara M. 2 years ago on Google
The made to order breakfast and the friendly staff are 5 stars!! The natural vegetation and classy touches for Christmas were beautiful. Unfortunately, much of the hotel needs maintenance. In our room, the bathroom lock didn't work, and no one was sent to look at it even when we told the front desk. The furniture needed a good cleaning: the arm was so discolored that I didn't want to use the couch. The indoor pool room also needed attention; the plaster was coming off the wall. The rooms were also smaller than they appeared on the website. If an amazing breakfast and courteous staff are more important to you than general upkeep, you will enjoy your stay!
