👍👍 It was my first time having egusi soup and pounded yam, and I love both of them! I enjoyed egusi especially as someone who loves spicy food, and the texture of pounded yam is soft. Ordered the food through WhatsApp so it was easy enough, and the house address was easy to find. I heard the restaurant...

We went here last weekend, to explore the newest cuisine in town. We were not disappointed, food was amazing, a friendly welcome and the longer wait - all is freshly prepared to your order- was brighten up by a little board game. Why not all 5⭐⭐?! It was a bit cold - the weather had turned and I guess being that early as we were the heating hasn't kicked in, which in turn gave the atmosphere a bit of - a chill!? Making the long wait for the food a bit of an endurance. That said, we loooved the food, it's a nice place and we will be definitely back for more!!!!!! With this, please give this amazingly exotic restaurant a visit, it counts and you would regret not having been there!!!

If you've not had a sit down meal here yet, you definitely should! The food is incredible, so tasty, and staff will adjust spice levels for you to your taste. Our server brought out a Nigerian game for us to play that's traditionally played at Christmas, called Ayo (we went on 23rd Dec) - so fun. We quickly became very competitive 😂 We had a brilliant time and will be taking more friends there soon.

Tonight’s dinner at Taste Africana was a fantastic treat. The food was delicious (the spices in the Jollof rice suitably warmed us up on a chilly November night) and the owner gave us a lesson in how to play the traditional Nigerian game of Ayo which, along with the rhythmic music playing in the background, kept us well entertained! A brilliant evening, we will be back soon!

An amazing experience, thank you Taste Africana!!!! A wonderful introduction to African food, we had a tour around the menu, my husband eats fish and I'm a veggie, plenty of delicious options for us both. The meal was absolutely delicious! Fab music in the background and lovely company. We were even introduced to an African board game which was loads of fun! We will be back! Thank you again, a great evening! A must, very highly recommended!

The food is absolutely outstanding! It was our first time trying here and it was it really good, the staff were so friendly and approachable. I had the egusi soup with powdered yam and my mum had the Jamaican goat curry. We both really enjoyed our experience with the menu and the restaurant, I even took hope extra meals for the day after. I would 100% recommend this too any one, I will be back to eat in and for takeaways

Just had a takeaway from this restaurant which was beyond awful. The food all arrived stone cold. The burger was rock hard and full of gristle and sinews. The hake had been overcooked, was dry and inedible - full of bones and skin and frankly didn't taste anything like hake. The plantain was cold and disgusting. We spent over £30 and the only things we could eat were the chips and coleslaw. Absolute disgrace. Will never go there again and would advise everyone to avoid
