Terrible - I tried to cancel but they requested a "w number" that I did not have. They refused to let me cancel and passed my outstanding payments to a debt collector (they do this with all cancelled memberships) who inflated it over 10 x the amount. Now they call, text and email me. Awful company, do not get involved.

Absolutely the best place! Woodland Spa was fabulous, we spent all day there. We ate in all three restaurants. Delicious food and very friendly service. Hotel bed and pillows were perfect. All staff were really welcoming and professional. We'll done. Be back as soon as we can!

Been treated very badly with this gym in regards to no communication that i was outstanding my last month of payment, i had done my 12 months term with them paid my membership for a following 4 months as a rolling month to month payment. i decided to move gyms i cancelled my membership not had any correspondence from xercise4less in anyway only to pass my 1 payment outstanding to CRS which is a debt collection company saying i now have to pay £179. its disgusting behaviour its no surprise they are losing so many members, you only have to google about xercise4less how bad have been with other people in the same situation, been on daily mail and are under watchdog. i hope my £179 was worth every penny to you. be careful with this gym people.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! The company they use to collect memberships are notorious crooks. Once you join, they'll never let you leave. I tried leaving a rolling contract only to be hit with £80 of hidden fees 2 months later. The gym isn't particularly nice either. Broken machines, horrible sewage smells and it's absolutely freezing. There are far better gyms in Burnley. Pay the extra money.

How lucky are we having this fantastic facility in Burnley. This place has everything. Gym swimming pool bistro lounge area restaurant and spa including outdoor areas . Also equestrian centre and 5 a side football all on one fantastic complex including free parking

Was a member here for years and loved it. Unfortunately broke my back ( not in the gym) and had to cancel my membership. Now fully recovered and would love to rejoin but think the £20 admin fee is a bit steep.

The gym is fab and so is the members lounge 😍 the swimming facilities need a big update though! For an £80 a month membership, I didn’t expect everything to look so old and tatty. Like weird carpets, old weak rusty showers and the jacuzzi wasn’t what I expected.

Just use Bartram's restaurant,we love it,food excellent service excellent,really enjoy it each time we meet

We stayed two night’s in the Pendelum suite and it was beautiful. The room was beautifully decorated and was very big. The bathroom was also the same. The view was even better than I imagined it would be. The staff were amazing. So polite and so accommodating, a special thank you to Amy who greeted us with a big smile on Christmas eve right up until we checked out on Boxing Day. Shannon who served us at breakfast on Christmas day was also so so lovely and if I’m honest I’ve not come across such a dedicated and happy team at a hotel before. Hats off to everyone. The hotel is spotless , so clean and spacious. The gardens are also beautiful...it’s safe to say that we will definitely be coming back! The breakfast is also amazing, great spread and variation both healthy and gluttenous haha!

Normally the food in the lounge is superb but the last time I went with a 96 year old friend with her neice The table was booked for 12.15 so got there for 12.10 and had a coffee while we chose from the menu. Both the neice and I ordered the sausage and mash which came with the potato stone cold on a cold plate. I asked if they would put it in the microwave which they did but not for long enough, the plate got hot but the potato was tepid. I asked again for it to be heated and she got the manageress who said they would bring me a fresh meal but it might take some time the neice said hers was still tepid but wouldn't make a fuss ,she left a good half. I was still sat there at 13 13 hrs with no food .The manageress said it would be out any minute I told her to cancel the meal as both my friend and her neice had finished their meals and I would be sat there eating while they did what ??. I truly don't know what went wrong that day but my little old lady will not go back dining there now, I don't think I will iether

Had lunch with colleagues. Food is excellent and the staff are very attentive but not overpowering. Beautiful views of the Calder and whittlefield as you eat too. Plenty of parking and next to the motorway junction

Great-food was excellent, staff were helpful and did everything they could to please a few difficult members of the group I was with, including allowing them to move tables. Very attentive. Menu is limited for vegan options and 2/3 of the options are very bland salads,the third is a Thai sweet potato curry which we didn't order so can't judge! Altogether pretty good!

Lovely restaurant. I had buttermilk chicken. Massive portion, but couldn't eat it all. One of the pieces of chicken was still pink.

This review is about the restaurant only. Excellent! We had the burger with the peppercorn sauce, which as other reviews have said, is delicious and good quality. The venue and staff are superb. I would highly recommend this place. P.S. from what I could see, the Spa, with outdoor pool area also looks great!

Popped in the lounge for lunch and wasn't disappointed. Food was lovely and friendly staff. Would be 5* but coffee machine wasn't working and that meant we couldn't have any hot drinks which was strange as I'm sure they could find a kettle from somewhere. Maybe I'm being picky due to lack of sleep as its not a big deal though.. I'd highly recommend you go here. Was fairly busy for Thursday lunchtime too.

We ate tea at the Lounge. The food this evening was excellent and the staff were friendly and polite. We will visit again as have been happy with the meals we have had at all three restaurants. Great food, cooked to perfection and well presented

I went here with one of my friends and it was a nice lovely afternoon. Quick service with very friendly staff. Plus it was on a Friday so they had a two for one offer on fish and chips. Not too pricey either.

I only joined the gym recently but I'm really impressed so far. There are loads of machines to use so it feels like you don't have to wait for anything. The staff are so far very friendly and they appear to have put good measures in place for social distancing.

One of the better X4L i've visited. Large gym with mostly two of every machine which means even at busy times you can still do the exercise you want to without having to wait for others to finish. Free Parking also ?

Was thinking of joining. Was briefly shown around by a member of staff. He didn’t exactly sell it to me or motivate me anywhere near enough to join. Was a bit pricey aswel.

Do not use Xercise4Less they are the worst gym franchise in the UK, So when it comes to cancelling your membership its not as easy as you would think and cancelling your direct debit seems to offend them like dont they get the message that i no longer require there facility? Youl then be passed on to a debt collection agency who charge double for a membership you have not used in months and you dont want anymore. Pretty sure this company will go under if they carry on biting the hand that feeds them. I would of happily signed up again when i was ready but instead i will use another gym company and never go xercise4less ever again.

Gym has plenty of space and equipments. Compare to other expensive gyms, I feel this place offers good value for money.

Great gym . Has nearly everything you need

The very poorest of standards, mold growing up walls and windows, big holes in wall surfaces, machines out of order for months on end. Equipment goes missing and never replaced. A toilet seat was broken and out of order for longer than 3 months. The place is dirty and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Health hazard rather than a health club. This is a catastrophic failure of ownership and senior management. Don't join.
