However good it used to be, I now wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anybody. I took my wife for her birthday. We turned up early so sat at the bar tables and ordered some drinks after waiting for a waiter for 15 minutes. The drinks were made, placed on the bar where we just sat and watched them for another 20 minutes. By the time they remembered to get them to us we were presented with a flat pint and slightly warm cocktail. After this we sat and ate a meal, a good steak for me and a cold steak for my wife. We then spent 20 minutes with very clearly empty plates and another 10 minutes trying to wave down a waiter so we could just pay and leave. We were planning on having coffee and desserts but as the service was so poor we gave up. I've had better service in McDonald's. Also, there was a DJ (for some reason, this was very weird) who must have been booked under the premise that he was doing a deep house night. We were sat next to a speaker which made conversations nearly impossible. If there was a manager on the night, he or she was either one of the 18-20 year old members of staff and had no control or simply wasn't there. Either way, they need to question their job choice and perhaps do some more training. Also, having 2 giant bouncers stood near the front door and seeing them repeatedly scanning the room is nearly as strange as having a DJ in a restaurant. Poorly run and unsure of what it is. Avoid at all costs

I took my wife for a nice meal out here and as we walked in the place looked smokey from the grill. We then sat down ordered drinks and from that point on things got worse. Prices were expensive so you expect quality food and service. Lots of staff standing around doing nothing while we sat and waited for drinks. The £33 mixed grill came with most of it under cooked and not as much as you would expect for that price. My wife had the vegetable kebab and again under cooked. After waiting ages we had to flag down a member of staff so we could order deserts. 25mins later 2 cookie dough and coconut ice cream deserts came. The ice cream was melted and was vanilla not coconut as it said on the menu. So all in all £89 for a bad meal with slow service. I once heard very good things about this place but I think those days are long gone.

Sunday lunch with family. Food reasonable (medium) Large portions which is not my thing but if that’s what your into .…….. Dry with virtually no gravy! We asked for a little more gravy please as really was not even enough to cover plate. Bill came and could not believe charged a service charge (slightly cheeky) BUT. £10 for extra gravy. Really !!!! This is the pics of how much gravy was served. Is this just me or is this the amount of gravy you would like on a Sunday lunch ???

Had an absolutely amazing evening 😍 with friends! The food was delicious and always hot 🔥 and the cocktails were nice and strong. Definitely the best steaks around Accrington! The staff is super friendly and the service was rapid. We had an amazing time. 💯 recommended 👌

We originally stopped dining here due to cleanliness issues. That was some time ago though. The venue was immaculately clean but, the food for us was more style over substance. The burger needed to be deconstructed in order to eat and was very sloppy. The nachos though, fantastic. The price point, I thought was a little expensive. Nice enough food but for the same price, better can be had else where. Lovely looking venue though! We dined at 15:00 so the atmosphere may improve later in the evening.

It was okay. The food was good to fair, certainly nothing to complain about. Inside the place is nicely done. The staff were friendly enough but very poorly trained; no scanning tables, no steps of service at all, waited an age to order in an empty place. No check back or even offers for more drinks. More proactive staff would make this venue better.

We went out for the first time together after this crazy lockdowns and the family reunited for an amazing day, we all had diferent opinions about where but we managed to choose this place, the firepit! It's a gorgeous please with all the bells and stars ready for any kind of needs, our meal was amazing and I could not be happier that we ended up choosing it, but please by far is the service of this place, while chefs needs a well done, the front of the house needs an stand ovation because Is not that easy to manage it all like they do, special mention to Georgia this girl goes the extra mile by far the best!, and Jacob followed taking well care of us when she was doing other things!, definitely will come back specially if I'm being served by this amazing staff, please look after them 🙏 great group!

Came on a Saturday night with 3 adults and 3 children. Plenty of parking. Seated straight away and drink order taken not long after. A massive selection of cocktails and beers. Not alot of choice for children and her ( daughter age5) drink came in a glass so maybe take your own child friendly cup if that would be a problem for you. Starters and children's meal came out at the same time as requested. Fast and friendly service. Staff were very attentive and polite. All meals were fantastic and large portion sizes. Sadly we were too full to experience the dessert menu but will definitely be returning.

Absolutely 5 star🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟don't miss out this restaurant is a "MUST VISIT" the fantastic food on a huge choice of a good varied menu was complimented with an impressive eclectic design & a spacious dining furnishing, The service by the staff was amazing friendly & professional & the owners Son was so friendly. If your looking for a Romantic quiet corner a midweek evening seems the best time to book. Very sensible layout with social distancing excellent.

Went on Tues 13th April. Staff were so busy but always smiled and made you feel at ease. The Scallops were the best I've EVER tasted and my steak was perfect as usual. Loved the full menu of food and drinks were available even with the restrictions. Well done The Firepit, amazing as usual.

The Chateaubriand was amazing. The service was not as good though, not bad but clearing plates before everyone has finished eating is a definite NO NO in my opinion.

What a lovely restaurant, had read lots of reviews but never been...well now we have and I'm sure we will be back. Lovely friendly service, a really good menu with lots of choice, fab cocktail menu and the food is delicious.

We have visited a few times to this restaurant but the service that was given tonight was appalling. We was seated, drinks and food order were taken. Starts came, drinks finished. 40 minute wait for our mains with no server in site to take another order, once our main came.. No questions on if we needed anything else, they practically ran away from the table before I could ask for any condiments with our DRY food. Food one quarter finished we asked for the bill which they put the 10% service charge on. As we asked for this to be taken off they then looked to say, why? Thinking they had over exceeded in their one job. I hope next time is better as I know if the actual manager (James) was there this would not have happened.

Food was good, I asked for my steak rare and it was a little overdone but still delicious regardless. My girlfriends macaroni cheese was the best I've ever tried, really cheesy and creamy and seasoned well. Prices were about what you'd expect, maybe the same you'd pay in Manchester. Service was friendly but did have to go up to the bar on a couple of occasions in order to order drinks. Will definitely return.

Very overpriced for a poor service. £75 for a cold steak . The triple chips and blue cheese sauce would of been better on there own . My partner had chicken . came with no cutlery. Had to ask twice for it . But at least both our meals were cold . Only bonus was one of the waitresses smiled and was helpful. Never again.

Wasn't expecting best as read previous reviews. We had a party of 7 nothing was too much trouble. Staff looked after us well and the food was spot on. 2 had Sunday dinner, it was hot, lots of vegetables and gravy and the biggest Yorkshire puddings I've ever seen. Couldn't eat it all. The black and blue mushroom starter was gorgeous. Not a bad word to say, would definitely return ..

We hadn't been to this restaurant for some time so thought we would visit again particularly as my wife had a reasonable gluten free choice on the menu. It was a Thursday evening which is "date night" when a 3 courses for one price menu is available so probably a bit busier than a normal midweek evening. The two young ladies looking after the tables took our drinks and food order pretty promptly and checked regularly if we needed any top ups. Before the first course arrived one of them returned to double check they had the gluten free order corrrect which was reassuring. There was a bit of a wait before the first and second course but the food is excellent, so clearly the kitchen is taking the time to get everything right. The presentation and taste was worth the wait and if you want fast food there's a McDonald's right across the road.

After doing some research before visiting the Fire Pit Restaurant, I was not left disappointed and would recommend this restaurant to people. I made a special trip to Rawtenstall and Rossendale as it had been 2 years since I lost my mum, who passed away in the area - this was because I was impressed with Rossendale the couple of times I had to visit (I live in Wigan). I thought the menu was good and attracted me to visit the restaurant. I had beer-battered fish and chips, and I also had sticky toffee pudding with custard. Including the 2 Coca Cola Zeros, it was good value for money at just under £35.00. The customer service was very good as they are friendly approachable staff and was a comfortable atmosphere. The place is also easily accessible from Rawtenstall town centre. I am hoping to visit Rawtenstall again before Christmas as I have heard about the outdoor artisan markets on a Saturday in the town centre, so I'll be giving the Fire Pit Restaurant some serious thought about visiting again then.

Food was delicious, big hearty portions, decent prices, no long wait times even for a party of 14, service was very good. We've been only once before many years ago and forgot what a nice place it was. Will be returning very soon.

The food and drinks were all excellent, so no complaint there. The service wasn’t terrible, but it was slow and multiple times we had to get the attention of waiters to get more drinks and menus. I wouldn’t have minded if the staff were rushed off their feet, but there were literally four lads at the bar stood doing nothing for the entire 2 hours of dining. Paying those prices I expected a better service.

We have just visited the restaurant for a girls Christmas meal out. I have to say the staff and the food was amazing. The young lady who served us was so polite and helpful took our orders quickly and cleared plates as soon as we had finished. The food was lovely. We all had steaks one on a hot stone and 2 cooked by the chef. Food was cooked to perfection piping hot. The waitress asked several times (not in a bad way) if we needed anything else or any more drinks. We really couldn’t fault the service or the food. All the staff had Christmas jumpers on and one was dressed as the grinch! Loved it perfect setting for the run up to Christmas. Well done everyone.

We booked the firepit for our 1st wedding anniversary, it was a really nice atmosphere with very friendly staff. The only thing stopping it being 5 stars was the cost. £10 for a starter seemed a bit expensive but all in all the food was great and we had a lovely night.

The food was delightful. Only problems were the vegetarian options for mains. Unfortunately, the service was mediocre as even though the staff were friendly, we went as a group of 4 and were applied a 10% service charge! It wasn't as if we ordered fancy drinks either, just 2 mocktails and I unfortunately don't know the name of one drink. The music in here was a little too loud, couldn't hear the waiters really. Other than that, an okay place to eat.

Booking was easy, staff was on it and very polite, cater to every need and drinks were served quick! However, I asked for medium rare and the steak was well done! The steak was so salty I couldn’t taste anything else but salt, was left gasping for another drink! Overpriced and the staff was the only thing good about the experience 😁

Enjoyed a meal for 2 here last Thursday. The place was very noisy, the waiting on staff were very friendly but a little forgetful.. (waiter forgot my drink, then forgot my sauce later). My hanging steak apparently came with some nice flat breads, in fact it was just a small warmed up pitta... Chips weren't hot, but steak was cooked nicely. All in all, don't think I'd go here again for a nice meal for 2, rather If I was with a bigger group of people...

Wow. Just wow. The atmosphere is fantastic. The food was very good. The cocktails were "mostly" excellent. Their "Firepit Punch is very drinkable. As is their version of a zombie. Have to be honest, I wasn't keen on their long Island. Sorry. There were 6 of us that went for a meal and drinks. 2 didn't drink (designated drivers), 3 of us polished off about 5 cocktails each and 1 had 3 glasses of Prosecco. We all had starters and mains and the bill came to just less than £300. It's good quality food with good quality drinks and a great atmosphere. Their prices do reflect this but I have to say, this is a prime example of getting what you pay for. WE WILL BE GOING BACK AGAIN. Had an amazing time. Thank you to all the staff. Very well done.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere, the building was very nice, and service was great. Burger was amazing and the cocktails were lovely. Starter was a little small for the money, but excellent food and drink overall.

The fillet steak on a stone was lovely, it was just a shame I had no drink to go with it.! unfortunately the service let it down, so so slow in getting drinks, even after first arriving we waited ages and had to go and ask to order drinks..not good. Ordered a bottle of wine when our main meal arrived but it never turned up. If these issues were fixed and staff given direction it would be amazing here.

  • 1/5 Julio H. 2 years ago on Google
Staggeringly slow. Served menus covered in food. Waited 20 mins to order to then be told “these menus are old”. New menus were produced with much higher prices and less value. After an hour my wife asked where the kids food was and we were told it was all delayed because we ordered food on a hot stone and the stones hadn’t warmed up. Frankly we couldn’t care less how it was cooked. Given the steak is served blue this is madness.

Went here for our anniversary meal, and we were NOT disappointed at all! The food was like eating a tv chefs food, cooked to perfection! We had the scallops and the brisket Crockett for starter and I have never tasted anything like the brisket! It was insane! And the steak for main was just cooked to perfection as well! The drinks were to die for and such a good selection, staff were very friendly! We wanted to go out side to sit in the marquee after food with a drink and it wasn’t open but the staff went and opened it for us to sit in! I would 1000% go back here! Loved it and made our anniversary even better ♥️

Absolutely disgusting served a raw burger to my 10 year old daughter ordered especially from the children's menu just goes to show the standard of the chefs sorry cooks ability to check the food before serving. I should not have to check the food to see if it's cooked that's the kitchens department.

Called here on a Sunday lunchtime between steam train journeys. Very contemporary feel to the place, incorporating the features of the old railway building with modern fixtures, works very well. Plenty of variety on the menu, we went for the bacon chop and lamb kofta, both superb. Staff very polite, helpful and chatty. Some people apparently have an issue with the staff being so young, but they have plenty of experience between them all to run a very professional venue. Would I come back? Absolutely!!!!

It has been a while since my last visit, and seeing the marquee outside so well done, popped in with a friend. Ordering loads of starters for lunch. Sublime! Followed this up with a family meal again outside and fun with great food and service. We visited again this week with meal service indoors, the consistency in food and service always will ensure us returning. Family friendly and value for money, the menu gorgeous. Wine, beers and cocktails! Would highly recommend

Great food but the service wasn't, table for 3 seated and order taken straight away. Drinks (3 small cokes) brought and then food. Each time a server came I told them there were only two sets of cutlery for the three of us but none were brought. My daughter had a burger so used my knife to cut it and my side fork to eat. Asked several times for two cokes and a beer but never got them. We were told on entry we needed to leave by 9 45 but the desserts hadn't arrived by then. I know that the venue is being renovated but the staff could still bring things if they are asked for (no cutlery could be a pretty big problem and after asking 4 different people I would normally hope one would remember) the drinks were just annoying but we can put up with it. The food however is fantastic I just hope the organisation improves. 5 stars for food 1 for service.
