Great clean pub with good menu selection and tasty food at reasonable prices. The staff were friendly and helpful and there is lots of on-site parking available.

The breakfast is unbeatable value. Basically £10 for a large cooked breakfast and continental Buffett. As much tea coffee and juice as u want. Wish it was closer to home because I'd be here every week. Staff were smiley and helpful and we were made to feel welcome and most importantly valued. Thank you Rowena and all the staff.

We dropped in for a quick lunch. Plenty of room and air conditioned, which, in the current heat, was very welcome. Service was good and very friendly staff. The food was good, and, as it t was a Thursday, it meant hubby got a steak and a pint for £12.

Poor experience,some meals were OK but my meal with sweet potato fries was not good,scampi just about warm and very rubbery like been in a warmer all day,the sweet potato fries were dry,burnt,and tasteless. I know prices have increased all over the UK but for the price for 4 of us was over £80,and for the dried up ,tasteless food I won't be recommending the Willows to any of my family,friends and work colleagues

Left standing waiting to be seated for a little too long. First choice of meal not available due to forthcoming menu change. Second choice of curry-no rice available!! but it we weren’t told about this straightaway so this most likely accounted for us waiting longer than I’d have expected for our meal to be served. Although it sounds like I have a lot of complaints please don’t think of them as actual complaints because on the whole our visit was good as depicted by the 4 star rating I’ve given

Really friendly staff, food was lovely, hotel was clean and tidy. We were on the ground floor and in the morning you could hear the people above, walking around. The beds were very firm also. Overall great value for money.

We arrived as part of a group attending a family funeral and were made to feel so welcome. Rowena ensured we had everything we needed for our stay, including an extra key for my disabled daughter's accessible room. The food was excellent in the restaurant and we were made very welcome for breakfast even though we arrived early and ate separately to the main party. Nothing was too much trouble, and this made an emotional stay much easier thank you.

Service was wonderful waiter excellent

We have enjoyed a lovely stay. We ate at the pub both nights, Luke looked after us really well. Our son has an allergy and he went out of his way to ensure this was accommodated. He was extremely friendly, very helpful and made us feel really welcome. The food was nice and the hotel was great for a base as a family. We will definitely be back.

Stopped to charge up at the brand new 75kw/h Osprey chargers today. Very easy to find and very well placed just off the motorway. The Willows is also a good location to have a bite to eat and/or a drink while you wait if you need a big charge (not that you’ll have to wait that long with these nice fast chargers). Didn’t have time for that today but only just discovered these chargers, but you can be sure I will be back.

A great place to eat. It has a friendly atmosphere, the food is tasty and reasonably priced so are the drinks. The hotel was also nice and very clean. Can’t fault it.

I must admit I wasn't expecting food which I'd class as restaurant quality with the Willows being a pub grub type place but I must admit it couldn't be faulted. It was fairly quiet when we went and it took approximately 30 minutes for the food to arrive but it was worth waiting for. I had a steak that was cooked to perfection. My son's was equally as good. My daughter had the fish and chips which was also excellent. The portions were generous as well. In brief... paid under £50 for three good meals and three drinks so in my eyes that's good value.

This was a birthday lunch, we used the app at the table, it was easy to use, but I couldn’t find tea under hot drinks, so ordered this at the bar. Fed was well presented, hot and very good. I ordered sweet to take out at the bar. Friendly pleasant and helpful staff, nothing too much trouble.

Great service, friendly, fantastic food, comfy rooms.. Breakfast very nice, Steak n Ale pie, and Sausage and Mash were served superbly I'm here on a 6 month business trip and will definitely stay here and eat here, again

Food was basic the Pepsi was awful all 5 tasted funny we complained told it was because it was sugar free which was not the reason at all we usually drink sugar free. The chips was the only tasty thing on the menu. My sandwich was lacking in flavour more bread then chicken not even a side salad all on small plates so my daughters food keep falling into the table. Don’t have any straws for the kids to use so large glass to drink from not exactly the best for a 4 year old.

Visited today for a large family gathering and we were lucky enough to sit in the lovely beer garden. Our food was brought to our table quicker than expected and was a really good standard...compliments to the chef! The waitresses were all very efficient and friendly and deserve a pat on the back working in today's heat. Thankyou to Keeva on the bar who was very helpful. We would definitely return again 👌5⭐

Popped in with my daughters for lunch and was very impressed. Nico took our order and was both friendly and helpful. The food was lovely, (prepared by Mark and Chelsie apparently) and the service was excellent.

We arrived at 1.45pm. Our order was placed after 5mins. At 2.15pm a member of staff informed us that our starter was delayed as the machine hadn't sent it through. Starter eventually arrived at about 2.30pm. Mains arrived about 2.45pm, with the server apologising for the delay and offering a complimentary dessert or drink. The food was nicely presented and was hot. We shared a dessert and ordered another drink. Fortunately we weren't stuck to a time limit otherwise the delay would have been an issue. Will give them another try at some point in the future.

Really friendly staff as always, Imogen was really attentive and the Adam and Chelsie were really apologetic when they didn't have any fish left and sorted me out something else. Would recommend

Cauliflower starter; arrived over done; batter not light and very well done (dark brown). No rocket, no crispy onions, Told that’s how they’re told to make it…. told I should probably have ordered as main with salad if I wanted more. Asked for a refund. Gave; not willing to listen, walking away as we were talking to him. I asked at the bar, rather than embarrass my accompanying guests at the table, for details of who to complain to. He said he offered options and I replied that the starter was enough but misleading and I wasn’t going to pay for a few pieces of cauliflower and nothing as described or pay additional for salad. He said he didn’t say I would be charged however he didn’t say I wouldn’t; I asked him to do what he thlught he should do l but replied saying well Ive refunded you now! Not good enough. Rude, service and unhelpful. I asked for details again to make a complaint and told just google it, it’ll come up. My guests steak was ordered rare and came medium/well done; didn’t complain as made to feel very uncomfortable. Very disappointed. The only good pint was the Batman who when we arrived was very pleasant.

Having had a lovely meal last week I returned with my family again , unfortunately the chicken burger was something king Alfred himself would have desired , the bun was burnt and the chicken burger itself had more than a hint of charcoal about it , even standard pub grub should be far better than this . The jacket potato we ordered was fine as was the pizza but the 2 burgers were identically burned . How they could even serve this is a mystery to me .

Visited on a Tuesday evening. Easily accessible from Junction 5 of the M65. Huge, well lit car park with free parking. From the disabled parking spots there was a long ramp with moderate gradient up to the entrance. Inside looked accessible for anyone in a wheelchair or with mobility problems. This chain of pubs, part of Marston’s Inns, seems to have a different meal and a drink deal for different days off the week. On Tuesday it was a burger and a drink for £11.25. One of my colleagues spotted another deal. She was able to download this to her phone and it gave 30% off main meals. She was able to get fish, chips and peas for only £9.00. However, I don’t know if this is a regular deal or one just running at the time of our visit. I settled on the Cowboy burger. It was ok. Nothing special but then I wasn’t expecting anything spectacular. It’s basic pub grub served up in nice, clean, warm surroundings. I ordered a cappuccino for after my meal. Unfortunately several of us had to go to the bar to order coffees as none of the menus on the table illustrated what coffees were available or what they cost. I’m afraid the coffee was awful. One of the worst coffees I can remember having. Overall it’s unlikely I will be rushing back to eat here. As I said it basic pub grub. Relatively inexpensive if you take advantage of the deals they seem to have but hardly food that would want you to choose this unequivocally over other establishments.

Absolutely shocking 50 Min wait just for chips and the place was empty! This was rancid and would cost you 8.50, apparently for sharing! Half of the ingredients on the menu are missing for the loaded fries!

Visited during the festive period busy but didn’t affect the food and service. Visited many times before and always greeted by a friendly face. This time we had 8oz steak, chicken burger and two children’s meals absolutely delicious thank you Ben and James. We’d love to see some jacket potatoes and another curry option on the menu. See you again soon.

I visited on New Year’s Eve to celebrate my daughters birthday. The staff were great with sorting out our birthday cake. The bar man even started the singing off as he brought it out to the table.

We went for the Santa’s breakfast and would recommend to anyone! My little girl has autism and we were a bit worried about how she would cope, but thanks to the staff she absolutely loved it! They made a breakfast of just fruit so that she could enjoy the morning too without worrying about food! The whole experience was a joy! Thank you for making us feel so comfortable!

Food for my family was good, my own meal was a bit disappointing. The stand out element though was the service, all staff very friendly and professional, with the top of the pile being Luke who was an absolute credit to the company. Asked for his name at the end of the meal so I could ensure he got the plaudits he deserves in this review, I hope management read this as you have one hell of an ambassador there.

Food is decent for the money you pay one thing that did impress was the disabled toilets where clean and only available to disabled people via use of a radar key The willows was clean and the staff where polite and helpful at all times

One of my favourite places to go and relax and eat. Always such a warm welcome from the management and bar staff. Luke in particular always has my drink ready and waiting for me. I cannot recommend this place enough. Whether for a quick drink or a meal with family, nothing is ever too much for the team.

Food and service were both well above both previous experience and expectations. Wide selection on the menu, reasonable prices and a nice and clean, friendly environment. Came a few years ago and it felt a bit 'dusty' and too busy for the staff to cope, but that seemed a thing of the past. Now, I was driving so had soft drinks, as such I can't comment in regards to bar prices but our bill for two mains, one side and 4 soft drinks was less than 30 so, I defy anyone to moan at that. Service was professional and organised, the staff were friendly and interacted with customers, made a nice difference. All in all, a pleasant experience in a nice and chilled ambience.

Was a really good meal, I would have preferred more prawn sauce on my prawn cocktail. Would return again.

We have just stayed here for two nights. Two adults and two children in a family room. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. Outstanding customer service and really made our stay special. We had dinner and breakfast - both perfect and great value for money as a family. Rooms clean and everything you need as a family. Really lovely place. Will certainly be back. Thank-you, this was supposed to just be a stop off but ended up being the best stay of our holiday. Fantastic. Very happy family. :)

Staying up here in a hotel nearby to visit family so thought we’d try to find somewhere close by to eat. A friend recommended The Willows and I’m so glad that they did! Food and service is spectacular. All of the staff were superb from being greeted at the door right through to leaving, especially our waitress Shannon. I couldn’t recommend this place more to anyone. If I could put more than 5 stars, I would! Thankyou for such a great night. Will definitely be returning during our next family visit.

Decent Veggie and Vegan options. Kids play area (not suitable for toddler in my opinion. Quick service, all the staff have been incredibly friendly and accommodating across multiple visits. Immaculate loos, clean bar.

Great family room for family of 4. Nice play area in garden. Housekeeping team very accomodating. Really nice breakfast with few options for children and adjustable for fussy or picking eaters. Nice children evening meal menu. Various options for adults. Had 2 minor problems with our room which reported due to weekend unable to fix till Working week. Sunday lunchtime service wasn't great. But the rest was really good.

The service was second to none. We were attended to incredibly quickly. Our orders were taken within minutes of looking at the menu. The food was brought to our table by friendly and polite staff. They couldn't do enough for us. The food, pizzas, was delicious. Will certainly go again.

Stayed one night in the hotel on our way back home to Edinburgh from a day in Manchester - room was nice and clean and comfortable. Went for breakfast the following morning but didn’t know it was a Christmas breakfast event on - the staff squeezed us in even though we didn’t have a booking and we had a brilliant impromptu breakfast with Santa, Mrs Clause and the Elves. The staff had clearly made a huge effort and were going out of their way to make it really special for children and grown-ups alike and we all really enjoyed it! Thank you so much for a lovely end to our trip!

lovely experience. room was lovely evening meal in restaurant was the best in ages. only disappointment was leaving room 11am we wasn't able to have any breakfast or even a tea, coffee. as we had no where else to go after our car had broken down

We visited to watch the drive in movie and a meal afterwards, everything about it was just perfect. The service from all the staff was incredibly helpful. They exceeded their role, they were chatty and friendly and went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right for us. The food was also amazing, we got 3 courses and it was all served fast and tasted great!. I will 100% be back. Thank you so much to all of the staff for making it so perfect for me and my family. We stayed here for 2 nights (14th-16th Feb) as we had travelled from Wales for a family member's funeral. The room was lovely and clean with everything we needed provided. We arrived the day before the funeral and decided to have dinner in the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and bubbly and showed us to our table swiftly! No waiting around. Our drinks arrived quickly and our food was brought to us in good time also. No complaints about the meals we chose. Delicious! We went back again for breakfast the next morning and then again for dinner in the evening. Each staff member was happy and genuinely seemed like they wanted to help as much as they could.

Firstly, the service was absolutely great. During the evening in the bar, the staff were wonderful, friendly, and accommodating. Again, the staff at breakfast were lovely. The rooms were very clean and had everything you needed. Great value for money. Dinner in the evening was ok, just not amazing. the starter and dessert were great, but the mains (we both had chicken burger), were a bit dry. Like they’d been reheated or maybe stood waiting to be brought out. There was one main waiter looking after the whole bar, with the help of a female manager. They did the absolute best they could but it felt like they were a bit short staffed, which is no reflection on them at all. They were lovely We were only there one night but all in all, for the price we paid, I’d definitely stay there again.

I stayed for two nights. Lovely clean and comfortable room. Staff extremely friendly and helpful,great to have service with a genuine smile. I'm vegetarian and was impressed with a really good range of veggie and vegan choices on the menu. The veggie burger and Red lentil curry were particularly tasty. Would definitely stay there again next time I come through Blackburn.

Absolutely exceptional. The staff took very good care of us when we arrived. Unfortunately I took very unwell when I arrived at the hotel and was taken to hospital after a seizure. The whole team looked after me, my partner and my kids brilliantly and I can’t thank the staff here enough. Will definitely be back and will be recommending this to family. The food was great too for breakfast and service was absolutely top notch! Wish I could give 10 stars ⭐️

Been before and had no complaints but the food I ordered this time wasn't the best. The chicken was well overdone and dry. Some of the roast potatoes were black and clearly should haven't been used. The meal should have come with a pig in blanket but had been missed. A friendly staff member did go and get one for me but I was a little shocked at how small it was! Absolutely no complaints about the staff, they're doing a great job. Food standard could be improved. I can see the owner has a standard response to contact and discuss. That isn't needed in this case. Just pay a little more attention to the quality and their would be no complaint 👍

Very enjoyable visit. Have no complaints about anything, staff food and room great. Jess deserves a pay rise or a bonus.she was on her own on Saturday morning breakfast, not stressed at all and always had a smile on her face despite been extremely busy.cant rate her enough! Would stay again x
