Food was great! 3 meals no complaints, good honest food! The young waitresses were friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend

First time visiting with some local friends and the food was lovely, plenty of choice and good value. Pleasant staff and good service. My wife didn't like her meal when it arrived and this was exchanged without question or fuss. We would definitely visit again when in the area.

Called in on good Friday after an all too rare victory for Accrington Stanley. We had not booked as planned for 2 other pubs, neither of which were available. In fact, it was to our advantage as Duckworth was a great option. The pub is comfortable and clean without being stuffy. Staff were excellent and looked after us well without being pushy. There is not a big menu, and some dishes were sold out. I take this as a good sign as everything is done fresh and some dishes are popular. The drinks were very good. Theakstons well kept and a good selection of non alcoholic drinks. There are numerous pictures etc advertising Jameson's, but sadly there was none to buy, but Paddy's Irish whisky was a good substitute. All the food tasted nice and we were all more than satisfied. I noticed a nice garden outside. For my next visit, we might take advantage of that. Very good pub

Met my Sis here for a nice catch up. The owner was fab. Really down to earth which was great. More than helpful and very courteous. Food was great !! Really freshly made and good quality. Highly recommend and will definitely meet here again.

Good food, lovely staff who couldn't do enough for you. We will be sorry to see the chef go. Different from the staff at the SPREAD EAGLE MELLOR,who couldn't run a dogs home.

Cosy little pub, decent food but limited choice. Ran out of bitter but alternative beers were ok. Very old school pub diner, resisting the urge to modernise which sometimes is not a bad thing.

Very welcoming, even to new guest. Service with a smile everytime we was spoken too. Very helpful, ordered food and drinks and they was Brough to us, even from the bar. Very local pub, fresh food, nice environment and super friendly staff! Will definitely make a return. The staff deserve credit as they make the place too. Lovely small local pub, great food! Great people. Parking available at the rear.

5 of us dined on a Friday afternoon It was very busy and so glad we had booked a table. The food was delicious and excellent value for money. The staff were very attentive. The landlord was great and saved us from the 3 wasps in the window. Dessert was delicious too. Will definitely be back to try the Sunday Roast.

I've loved this place and have been going for a long time. I think there has been a change of ownership and although its nice to be nice the people serving where overly nice and made it feel slightly forced, and abit odd. However they are lovely people and the food was nice. I would say the products the we bought feel like they've changed somewhat. But again still nice.

Management very welcoming. Quick to take order but meal took ages. Cod meal delicious but Roast Dinner poor. Ready sliced tasteless beef Roast Potatoes dry Mash covered in mashed carrots . Meal piled up in a pile .....preference food side by side and a good old fashioned dish of veg please

I was looking for Dog Friendly places to eat on our way back from a day out and this came up BUT if you go make sure you book as only the bar area is Dog friendly, we arrived early and the whole place was empty apart from the tables in the bar area but these where taken up by other people and not a pet in sight (the staff seat you). I could understand if it was busy but it really wasn't. I have been a long while ago without the dog and the food was good. We ended up going to the Britannia up the road which i knew only the bar was dog friendly and they where great with the dogs. I just wanted to make people aware that only the bar area is dog friendly so they dont drive all the way there to be disappointed.

I always eat here, when I come to the UK. Great home cooked food at reasonable price. . Recommend the chicken with black-pudding and pepper sauce. Or the Sea Bass with chorizo ( when they have it). Good puddings as well.

Went on my own today spare of the moment felt very comfortable,First time I have been in since the new owners, but boy the food was delicious lovely and hot, carrot & swede next time also I hope, lovely staff & very perlite credit to the chef , price was reasonable compared to others too. Will definitely be back next week . 🤣

Had Sunday roast beef dinner with the fella. Yorkies were great. Everything hot and really nice. Staff friendly and fast service. It says a lot about a place when people come back time and time again.

Absolutely nothing to fault here. The staff were lovely, the food was delicious and the place was clean and tidy. We had fish, chips and mushy peas and the fish was huge. The batter was crispy and the fish thick and taste. Everything was freshly cooked and piping hot when it came to the table. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Nipped in on a wet Thursday evening. We hadn't booked, but they accommodated us. The service was second to none, quick, efficient, with a lovely manner and nothing was any trouble for them. As for the food, the salmon with crushed potato was very tasty, accompanied by green vegetables. The Cumberland sausage was also good according to my partner. Definitely worth a second visit.

I go to Duckworth Hall alot and they are so welcoming and helpful. I went for a meal after my graduation on the 16th July 2021 and they were so lovely with us. I also got engaged on the 16th July at Duckworth Hall and all staff congratulated us. Highly recommend this pub the food is lovely and staff are so lovely and friendly!

Always a good meal here never had anything of ok or low standard! The portion sizes are massive as well, I get a small meal because I can't finish the big ones. It's a very nice atmosphere and the staff are really friendly too!

Lovely food polite friendly service had to wait a few minutes to place our order but we were informed there was quite a wait when we arrived so we were aware of this and it was no problem. Good value for money 😀😀😀

Had a good meal. It was well presented. The staff are excellent and nothing to much. Was recommended by friends so took the plunge and was not disappointed. All I can say is give them a try.
