What can we say- We had the most amazing Wedding at Sparth House just two weeks ago. We want to thank Emma and Katie, Olivia and Nigel, all the staff who looked after us and all our guests. From the first moment we looked on your web site we were entranced. Our first visit and chat with Emma was the beginning of creating a magical day. Subsequent visits to look at the bedrooms and to share the different options for the wedding breakfast. I have never eaten such delicious canapes ever! Every possible menu was tasted and declared superb. We took all the bedrooms for our large families so that we could stay overnight and have breakfast together the morning after. All the planning was fun and everything suggested and thought about led to a never to be forgotten wonderful and special day. Our guests were blown away too at the gorgeous venue, the caring, professional staff to whom nothing was too much trouble. The food was unbelievable, excellent, the wine flowed and everyone has high praise for the Team at Sparth House. So, What can we say? Really enjoyed the 3 course Sunday menu. The food is amazing. You can feel the taste of pride in each dish. The chef really knows what he's doing and the tastes are faultless.. Along with a good selection of gin and professional service.. An delight and a future booking due return. =)

Recently visited the Sparth House for family wedding an have to say its a great place. Well worth checking out & Visisting if you're looking for a wedding venue or just wishing have a break away solo or with a partner. Building is lovely inside! Loads of Victorian period features tastefully complimented with modern twists. Has a great rear garden as well! Staff an service at place was very professional an food was amazing!! Deffently recommended to friends an family!!.

Had a brilliant time recently. We hired it for the night and a had an amazing event for the masons. The food was good and and the drinks were reasonably priced. We experienced a fight in the upstairs of some non-guests to the venue. Also there was a baby that was born. A very interesting experience. Would highly Recomend😃

We had our daughters wedding Saturday 25th march. Well organised venue, beautifully decorated, rooms stylish and very clean. Wedding meal was excellent, drinks were reasonably priced. Breakfast was great if you like the full English.

We couldn't reccomend sparth House and the staff who work there enough. From Olivia, Katie and Emma who ensured that the day ran without a hitch and also the whole 2 year lead up answering my huge amount of questions. The staff the looked after us the night before and in the morning were friendly, polite and very professional. The food was of extremely high standard and the drinks were very reasonably priced. The bar staff and waiting staff were lovely and a credit to the venue. Dad (owner) was so lovely, and took time to my now husband before he left and did with me shortly before the ceramony and finding out small details about my upbringing, it was just lovely to know he had taken the time to speak to my mum before me. The bedrooms were unique and very reasonably priced, everyone had a great sleep, although a few sore heads in the morning. Every room of the house were beautifully clean, wonderfully decorated and made for the intamacy of a wedding. The grounds were out of this world and so many beautiful spots for children to play and to get those pictures. Thankyou again to all staff and owners. A must see venue when booking your wedding. Lovely venue. Food amazing only problem is they don't take cash!! This is a big let down. We had taken money out of the bank for this all day wedding and so had quite a few other people. All people didn't have bank cards. Not really sure why cash wasn't accepted 😕

From the moment we stepped into the house I knew this would be a where we would get married. It just felt right. Such a homely yet elegant feel. We booked our wedding two years in advance but the girls kept in touch all the way through with check in emails and were always on hand to answer any questions! I stayed with my bridal party the night before in the garden apartment and would undoubtedly recommend this for all brides. I felt so relaxed, the apartment is gorgeous and not having the stress of traveling anywhere on the morning of the wedding was perfect. The day ran without fault and that was all down to our amazing wedding planner Katie and her fantastic team. She ensured the day ran effortlessly which as the bride and groom is so important on an already nerve filled day! From fixing my veil moments before I walked down the aisle to ensuring I always had a drink in my hand, Katie went above an beyond to make sure our day was more than we could have dreamed of. Every individual guest was catered for, no little detail missed and all our guests commented (and still continue to comment) on what an amazing time they had - especially the food!! Having full exclusivity of the venue meant we could truly relax and party without the worry of unknown guests being part of our day and this was something a lot of other venues we had looked at couldn’t provide. I wish we could do the day over and over and would advise anyone considering Sparth House as their wedding venue to choose it! A huge thank you to Katie and all of the team at Sparth House for making our day one we will treasure forever. Mr and Mrs Yates!

I don’t even know where to start! We had just got engaged and knew straight away we didn’t want a long engagement so we pulled out the laptop and started making enquiries at various wedding venues, Sparth house responded straight away and got us a show around booked in for a time that suited us (I need to add its been approx. 12 months now and some venues still haven’t responded). We had looked at approx. 6 venues and as soon as we walked in to Sparth house we fell in love with it, you can tell straight away Olivia goes above and beyond for every couple and is definitely an expert in all things weddings! I am a bit of an organization freak so once we booked our date in and they sent me over an excel spreadsheet it was a dream! Everything you need plus things you haven’t even thought about is on the documents they sent, it takes away so much stress and I don’t know any other venue that provides so much help in the planning stages. All of our suppliers were included in the package and/or recommended by sparth house, this made it so much easier as they already have a working relationship and to be honest we didn’t really have to do much, from booking our date everything was all sorted 10 days later, not many people can say that. We booked the garden apartment for me (the bride) to stay in the night before, I cant recommend it enough, plenty of room for everyone, the pizza was the best I have ever eaten! I could happily live there if they would let me. My hair and make up artist also complimented the space and the light, there is no need to worry about room time restrictions as I know a lot of brides worry about that. Now the morning off the wedding, it was so relaxing, Sparth house come and give you updates on times and guest etc. Sadly the only thing they can’t control is the weather, it was heavily raining all day, I needn’t have worried at all, they implemented plan B they all got their brollies out (even getting wet themselves) to ensure I didn’t get a speckle of rain on me. We requested a candle lit low lighting ceremony room, when I say they go above and beyond, they even took bulbs out of the main light for us, not to mention lighting 100 candles. The ceremony room looked so much better than we could of dreamt off. This followed on to the wedding breakfast, they moved the candles around Sparth house without us even asking, everywhere and I mean everywhere looked perfect, I kept taking a step back in shock that this was our wedding day and not someone else’s. So many people complimented the food (would 100% recommend the brownie). All the rooms are beautiful and the breakfast the next day was the best I have ever eaten, so many people still mention it now. We had our wedding at Sparth House on 28.07.2023 and what an absolutely magical day they created for us. From the first time we saw Sparth House and met Katie we knew immediately that it would be our venue. Katie, Olivia and Emma were absolutely amazing. Katie was our main contact and she was there for me anytime I had a question or a panic, always reassuring me and making sure the day ran smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the girls and I could just hand them things throughout the day or ask for something and I would get it instantly! The food was absolutely incredible, at the taster day, the night before and on our wedding day/the day! The chocolate brownie especially was absolutely amazing, all our guests commented on how delicious all the food was. Staying in the garden apartment the night before was absolutely amazing, and being able to get ready in such a beautiful place was brilliant. It made the day so much easier being in the place we were getting married and not needing to rush around and the night before and through the morning we had staff popping up to check if we needed anything. There are no words for how amazing our day was, everything went so smoothly and not one thing went wrong and it is all down to the whole team at Sparth House. The serving staff were impeccable, we can’t get over how professional they were, they were constantly checking if everything was okay and if we needed anything, they truly made us feel so special. I would recommend Sparth House for anyone getting married, it is a beautiful venue, every room is different but all equally amazing and the outside spaces are brilliant for photos and to spend the day and night.

We had our wedding here on 1st of August 2021 and I can honestly say it was a fantastic day for everyone involved. A big thank you to Olivia and Katie for being truly amazing throughout the day and evening. It wouldn't have been possible without the both of them especially after what's happened the last 2 years regarding the pandemic (this was our 4th attempt to get married). I would highly recommend Sparth House for weddings and evening receptions.

Visited Sparth House for a wedding, as with all reviews, excellent venue. Super helpful and friendly staff, service was a high standard and efficient, food was exceptional quality. The bar was also very reasonably priced.

From the moment we arrived at Sparth house we knew this was the place for us, we fell in love. Every little detail has been thought out, these ladies (and gents) know exactly what they are doing, its second to none. From the night before in the garden aparment (wow), the best wedding day ever, to the beautiful set up for breakfast the following day... perfect, perfect, perfect! Had a surprise 60th birthday at the Sparth Hotel, Accrington. The food was delicious, the staff were amazing, friendly and they even went to the trouble of getting in a particular ginger beer for one of our non-drinking guests. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and had a Brilliant night. Big thank you to all my family and friends and thank you to the staff, you made me feel really special

We went for a wedding as Evening guests the house was lovely and the food which included a BBQ was nice. The only draw back was it was hotter than the sun in the room we were dancing in I thought I was going to pass out! They need to invest in air con!!

We held a celebration of our mums life at Sparth House. Everything was perfect, the room was welcoming, the buffet delicious aand the staff first class. Everyone attending said how lovely it had been. Thank you for all your care and attention- we would highly recommend this venue.

Stayed overnight for a wedding, it is beautiful, gorgeous venue to stay at. Very friendly staff, couldn't do enough for you. Provided excellent meals, and the most amazing service. Rooms were clean and spacious, very comfortable. Would recommend to anyone who wants to celebrate any special moment in their lives. Felt so very welcome, and as if staying with very good friends/family.

A hidden gem. Perfect wedding venue. The friendly and helpful staff are a joy to work with. How many times have you, as a photographer, cringed on the few times they offer to help with things like the confetti shot? Worry not, these girls know exactly what they are doing. A photographer's paradise, lots of different places to shoot outside, some with natural shade some open. The freshly prepared food efficiently served was amazing, salmon 'to die for', beef cooked to perfection, just melted on the tongue, light and fluffy cheesecake. I could go on. As you may have realised I was very pleasantly surprised by this family owned venue. Have a look I am sure you will be as delighted as I was.
