I have lived in rishton for 8 years and looked for a good English chippy. I can finally say I found one! The fish is fresh and tastes amazing. Best chippy I've had in years and the establishment is so clean and well presented. Highly recommended!

Fantastic traditional English chippy! Very clean, huge menu to choose from including my favourite John Bulls! Piping hot, great service and really yummy food! Will be back asap!

Received my order polite woman who delivered it. But then saw my order my daughters chicken bites meal had one chicken bite? My sons pie was that over cooked the meat was burnt and the rest of the food was luke warm if that, so disappointed tried to contact the chippy several times no answer. Wont be using them again!

West End fish,chips,peas Ok, Cost Very expensive, small portions, Due to Cost of living crisis, the Government need to drop prices to Build the economy, & Boost the Brit people's life to be Happy, instead of poverty there's enough Rich people money to Give Working Class a Good lif As well as the Rich There is plenty for all,🤞🤞🤞

Delicious fish and chips every single time, staff are lovely & you can tell they work hard. I love the dairy-free ice cream, fantastic that they cater for food intolerance. Enjoy a John Bull from here occasionally too

Ordered fish and chips today. Fish was a nice size, well cooked and a nice crispy batter. The chips were lovely. Love that it comes in a nice box too 😂. Sides of gravy and curry were nice. I use this chippy regularly but have never done a review for it so here it is.

Firstly the service was unprofessional, I ordered food, and wasn't told a wait time, and given that they only allow 2 people in at once... My partner ordered a dish offered as a special, but wasn't offered the advertised special, when questioned, no help was offered. Staff seemed disinterested, passive and distinctly rude. Food was old, and didn't taste nice at all, wouldn't go back to this chippy, shame really because looked really nice and inviting. But service far from that, and food was not good. Tried to be as fair as possible x

Hi, I can highly recommend the Westend fish & chips. Everything is constantly fresh and tasty. A truly traditional chippy. The premises are spotless, top marks hygiene. The staff are friendly and very efficient. Worth a full five star rating.

I went to get fish and chips for three this evening and as it was closing at seven I ordered and paid at 6:15 pm asking if I could collect the order at 6:45. When I returned at 6:40 the order had already been bagged up whereas I expected the staff to begin making it up just prior to my return. I don’t know how long it had been bagged but possibly as a consequence the fish and chips were dry when we sat down to eat. I have heard so many good reports about this takeaway but in my own opinion the food was nothing special. Maybe it would have been better if it was only bagged up when I asked. Possibly the staff just wanted to get away on time.

We had seen that the Westend Chippy at Oswaldtwistle had won an award so thought we would give it a try. My wife and I both had fish and chips my wife had gravy and I had mushy peas. The service was very friendly and efficient. The food was fresh cooked and very hot. The chips were real potato and very nice. The fish was very tasty in a light crisp batter. The only reason I have given 4 stars and not five is the café part is very small and only has two tables of four. While we were there they lost 4 customers because there was no room. There is outside seating but thats open to the elements. They have a very large ice cream chiller unit. So they lost a pertential sale of £40, but did not sell one ice cream during our visit.

Pretty good, well worth a visit. Best of luck with the "Best Chippy Awards". I'll be back when I get a chance.

Really nice food and friendly, polite service. They also have fantastic, thick shakes and ice-cream. (I may regret learning about the shakes. I'll be stopping by on my way home from work everyday 🤣)

First time we've been and it won't be the last. We sat in the small restaurant next to the shop and chose fish and small chips. They arrived promptly and were delicious. We had ice cream after our meal, there were plenty of varieties to choose from, and that was delicious too.
