What a dump this place has become over the last ten years or so. Just seems so untidy and disorganised. Staff on the shop floor move around like zombies and all look so scruffy, wearing tracksuit bottoms and woolly hats, obviously have no pride in themselves. Shelves get absolutely blitzed with empty boxes left behind, leading to generally poor availability of lots of items. Management stand around in groups doing lots of pointing and talking. Could be so so much better than what it is.

Had to stop shopping at Asda as unsure what is going on but it is a scruffy dirty tip now . Empty boxes thrown and left all over shop floor . Shelves full of empty boxes and food just thrown all over. Spilt foods in fridges and just left . Huge gaps of empty shelves throughout supermarket. The so called fridges they have installed are a nightmare, I just walk past as can’t be bothered keep opening and closing every second. Not to mention the price hikes of everything. Food with terrible sell by dates every time. Resembles a scruffy cash & carry. Staff all look miserable, all stood chatting . Barely any tills available with long queues. Fed up of going in to see if it has improved, but seems to be scruffier and no organisation at all. By the state of reviews for Asda it’s clear they don’t care. Started going Tesco !! Million times better.

Customer service desk is ment to be open until 8.00pm. and for the past couple of weeks they keep closing early ! Not very good service because if you need a refund on a faulty purchase they won't serve you ! If you work shifts getting there before the staff swan off is very difficult ! They are totally understaffed and need to sort themselves out at Asda ! Start employing more people !

Awful and upsetting. I had booked a delivery to arrive between 9-10am Friday 17th June. Van turned up. The driver did not get out, just stayed on his phone and drove off. The order status was updated as delivered! I rang the customer service number immediately and told them what happened. They said that there was a problem with the driver and my order would be delivered by 5pm that day. No delivery, again! Phoned customer services the next day and asked for a refund. They said they would sort it out, but it could take 48hrs for an email. No email came. Tues 21st today. Just got off the phone from customer services who said they can't refund as the order was delivered!!? Really?? Sounds like a glorified scam, if you ask me. I tried to contact the store, who just give the customer service number. No way of speaking to someone directly. I'm very frustrated, but I need to warn others not to trust this firm. I will never order again from Asda. A very expensive lesson learnt.

Really cannot believe what has happened to Accrington Asda over the last few months. Absolutely filthy, untidy and staff blocking aisles who just ignore you when you try to get past. But the worst part is the area around the self service tills. There is always a small group of female staff who stand there chatting and generally being very unhelpful. I had to wait for assistance last week for over five minutes whilst Louise finished chatting over the barrier with her colleague. I have recently visited Burnley Asda and they could not have more helpful. So this is more of an issue with the Accrington store, rather than the new owners, I feel.

I was really hungry with my family, so we had decided to go get some food in the cafe bit. I had been two years since i had last been in the cafe area and after waiting about 20 minutes we finally got the food. We got one order as we wanted but the other two were wrong we ordered two chicken burgers, but it ended up being chicken nuggets. We tell them, they come back again but with the wrong order once again. They gave us two beef instead of chicken, and later we had found hair in it as well as the chips being rotten and raw inside. Would not recommend

Placed an order on the App in the morning with an evening delivery. Called early evening by Asda Accrington to cancel the order as a delivery driver has called in sick. I was asked to pick up the order or cancel it. But no help on how to cancel the order on the app. Had to spend over 45 minutes to customer services to find out how to cancel the order and obtain a refund which I still have not received. Very poor customer services from the lady I was called by at Asda Accrington.

Shopped here today just for a few bits and had to wait 20 mins in line at the checkout. Was only 2 people in front of me and neither had a full shopping trolley. The checkout worker was the slowest most miserable person I've ever seen. Of the 6 checkouts that were open they all had people queuing half way up the aisles. The staff who were manning the self service checkouts walked up and down and actually laughed at the size of the queues. Used to be a decent store but won't be going back again soon that's for sure.

20th April 2023. Asda cafe used to have actual metal cutlery, plates, cups and saucers; now it's all gone disposable which feels a lot less classy. Same prices though. Table was dirty from previous occupant. They used to be really on top of this. Might as well go to a fast food place instead. I guarantee the coffee will be substantially cheaper for a start.

Visited this morning and did a big shop of £280. In that shopping I bought a bottle of champagne for a a birthday gift , I went to the checkout and started to put my goods on the belt I was asking the lady on the till about the offer advertised for if u spent so much on the champagne she kindly told me to download the Asda rewards App so on doing this, there was a very rude old man moaning because I was doing this I was livid he had a basket with 3 items in , moan moan so I said I'm not rushing throwing my purchases in my trolley wen ive spent over £200 . Fiona on the till was very nice and said don't worry just take ur time . I threw my coat off sweating and stressed I'd had a nice walk around doing my shopping nobody pecking my head and no stress, that soon changed with Mr Grump!!!,I thanked Fiona for her good customer service she was lovely. On leaving the store I spoke with Andrea she's always there on the self serve I told her of my experience and that I would put a review on. I then left and packed my shopping outside still cross at the miserable old very rude man . Rant over!

Had a nightmare visit today, not only still NO small trolleys. But ignorant drivers taking spaces, asked security for duty manager. Attitude was "we get this a lot" this from a lady sporting tattoos and nose rings. Manager arrived, showed issue to him and he said "I will put out a call" nothing heard whilst shopping but, we saw the same fella re-stocking shelves (obviously not bothered). Then after our shop, I went to cash in some lottery scratch cards. The woman took one look at them and said" I am on my own, I will do a couple and you can come back another day" . That was like waving a red flag to a bull, I replied "this is your job, if you are short handed then to ask for help, you can't pick and choose what you do" Needless to say I will NOT shop there anymore. GET A GRIP ASDA.

The staff are miserable, the guy who served me refused, to acknowledge that I had a blue light card & therefore would not be able to claim my 10% discount (this has happened twice now there) after speaking to some friends he had done that with her & also moaned why should NHS workers get discount as they don’t get discount. Talk about begrudge someone . So will not be shopping at Accrington asda again. Hi Tasha It was the 1/9/22 at 11.20am it was a older guy who was on the end till, near to the self serve. I had the same problem with a woman at Christmas, she even disagreed with a colleague of hers .

Absolute dump consistently sending out of date food out that's been ordered for delivery. Have had items go missing when ordered through uber and taken weeks to resolve (tobacco) Food quality when its not out of date is shocking. What happened Asda did you sell your quality when you sold your brand or is it just this store hmmm Well looking at other reviews it seems this store is a no go area.

Unfortunately, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with service provided to me on 19/10/2023 at 17:15pm when I was returning a faulty item I had purchased. I had purchased a hoover from my local Accrington Asda store which had ceased to work so as the hoover was under 12 months old it was still under the 12 month exchange or refund Asda policy for electrical items. When I took the hoover to the customer service desk a lady named Cheryl served me she asked me if I still had the box which I didn’t to which she rang through to a manager I presume to see if they could accept it back without the box. When she had finished she said the hoover had to be clean anyway she said that the hoover wasn’t clean and the filter had to be cleaned and to try it again if it still wasn’t working to take it back. So I went home to clean it out and it still wasn’t working so took the hoover back to Asda to explain that it still wasn’t working. When I went to the customer service desk to speak to Cheryl again stating it still wasn’t working she again looked at the hoover she then said that the hoover still wasn’t clean as another part of the hoover was still dirty so I actually stood there at the customer service desk cleaning the hoover. Cheryl then went to ring through to the manager at this point the hoover had fallen off the desk where Cheryl had put it and the wheel came off! Cheryl then came off the phone saying that the manager would exchange this once! Now this whole experience with Cheryl and Asda has been disgusting and disappointing as I’m sure you are aware my consumer rights are that if an item (especially electrical) is faulty I have the right to an exchange or refund with it still being under the Asda return policy under 12 months old. I am disgusted that I was made to clean the hoover part in the store and the fact it was visible that I have a broken thumb joint and Cheryl is still making me do this I found it difficult to clean the rest of the hoover as it was. I also find it disgusting that not one manager came to deal with the situation but let someone who was clearly unhelpful and rude when dealing with this situation. I find it disappointing that Asda expect people to keep the boxes for items over 3/6 months old as really you wouldn’t expect something to go wrong with it after that time and I really do find it disgusting that Asda expect to clean the items they are returning as it shouldn’t make any difference if it’s clean or not if it’s not working it’s a hoover that someone has been using so it wouldn’t be clean. I don’t any other store that expects people to clean faulty goods that are being returned. But I did clean it as asked and still Cheryl had an issue. This really isn’t the kind of service I expect from my local Asda I have never felt so disappointed with the service I have received as well as now being in extra discomfort with my thumb.

Was really untidy this morning.. I know its almost Christmas and can only presume they were trading during the night but there was rubbish everywhere and stock still on pallets. The few staff were doing their best but seemed to be fighting a losing battle. Hope that all stores were the same as the economy needs the trade

Went in to use the restroom. I have to say I am going to the doctors to get checked. The toilets are disgusting. The cleaners need educating and the issa brothers need to start investing. Get some new cleaner toilets installed and a deep clean everytime. We are Bearley out of a pandemic and you think this is acceptable.

Not the happiest of staff here. I've just read the review below of the customer service and I concur. Interestingly I tried to complain on asda website about lack of customer service at this store. Ironically the Web page told me to contact customer service, which I couldn't because it was closed!

Hi asda... went this morning... 1 till open lots of people queueing, there were 4 members of staff chatting at the self checkouts whilst people waited. Please pass this message on to management that people want face to face service not to be told to checkout themselves. It strips jobs away from people that need them and also takes away any form of personal friendly service that some people rely on. We are not robot customers and will vote with our spending to get some personal service.... off to aldi I go 😪

This Asda in Accrington has got the most rude staff ever because every time I have been to Accrington Asda with my family, the staff are so rude and arrogant especially the Pakistani security guard who always gives evil looks to me and my family every time we have been shopping for no reason like we are criminals to be honest with you. Asda needs to teach their Accrington staff about customer service to be honest with you because they haven't got any respect or manners for customers at all especially as it's the customers who are paying their wages in the first place.

She made a really embarrassing situation for me feel much better and kept hold of my shopping until I could go get some cash wish I had gotten her name. Fantastic customer service skills

I bought a box of angle wipes from asda super store. They caused a reaction on my kids skin. I went to return them after a week as thats when the last lot finished and was told i cant return them as i dont have a recipet or the box. I didnt know i was expected to keep the box on a asda branded product. I explained this to the manager karen as well but she said our hands are tied. Shoped here all my life never such a problem as they have always taken products back, even the ones that were open. Very disappionted because of 1 stuburn person

Not a nice atmosphere. Went there today on my lunch break, no mask on because I’m exempt, but rather than offer me a mask, the female security guard just gave me a horrible look as I was leaving. Childish, unprofessional and uncomfortable.

No tills open even though staff were milling around, self-service only and the pharmacy was also closed at 9:30pm. Going downhill fast! Edit - the pharmacy wasn't actually closed, I was just told it was by a member of staff. I have since received an apology and am assured the pharmacy is open as normal

Ordered and paid for my item on the 24th November I'm disabled and live about a mile from the store I'm still waiting for the delivery and I have been informed that it could take another 3 days to deliver meaning it's going to take 8 day's to get my paid for item, delivered less than a miles distance. Well done haha

Never had an issue when shopping here. The only thing that annoys me is there's a product that isn't listed online so I have to go in to buy it. It's ok to bulk buy now so i can go longer between visits but during lockdown, purchases were restricted to 2 items per person.

I went to do my Christmas shop to find that there were still only 2 tills on and another 3 tills had been taken away from the store itself. Since the Isa brothers took over they are cutting corners. Upon speaking with a couple of staff members the cleaners have gone and humans are being replaced for electronic tills meaning more people lose their jobs. What about elderly people who want a little chat with someone or just to get out to see people? What they are doing is ALL wrong and it isn't the way forward. I hope all the machines break and I hope people start ditching their trollies and leaving them. The staff need to make a stand and WALK OUT will never ever go to an electronic self serve till. BRING BACK THE PEOPLE
