This is such a beautiful place to visit with pathways for every ability. Short, medium or long walks surrounded by the most beautiful scenery, we spent a whole day just rambling around finding the tree sculptures, playing and climbing trees and hiding out in the handmade shelters with the children. Brilliant cafe and toilet block on site and you park for just Β£1 a day! Perfection right there and a brilliant family day out.

A beautiful place to go for a walk, lots of paths for different levels of ability and always a beautiful view to see. A nice cafe/shop for ice cream, coffee or cold drinks and plenty of parking.

Today, we went to Beacon Fell, and to my surprise we had a brilliant afternoons walk, the youngest of the party was only 6 yrs old, that was our grandson Jack, he was thrilled with the following, the head, snake, lizard and owls, he got to climb a little, and let loose for a little while with his Grandma, Grandad, and Uncle Paul. Absolutely fantastic to visit, especially when it's been such a good day, car parking was easy to find and get a space. All told we walked about 5 kilometres.

A lovely place to walk around. Various walks to choose from that start and end at the visitor centre. Parking is only Β£1.00 and you can pay by card via an app or telephone.

Its pretty and well maintained, but the walk was underwhelming. The outside route of the park is only 1.6 miles all around and the summit takes 5 minutes to walk to from the carpark.

Ideal place to stretch your legs with great forest walks and lots to see. There is a visitor centre (see current covid restrictions for opening) and toilets which are open. There is a choice of car parks.

Very misty today, quite a few people walking. The forest has taken a serious battering from the recent storms. Requiring a lot of trees to be felled the results being many paths aren't suitable for prams or wheelchairs and covered in mud due to tree felling plant using the footpaths, a work in progress that will result in a renewable woodland. πŸ€”πŸ˜

Lovely ambience and scenery, with some wonderful views of surrounding areas. So very peaceful too. Lovely place to visit, either on your own or with friends and family.

Plenty of parking (if main carpark is full, there are others around the oneway circluar). Visitors information and toilet facilities on main carpark. Great views, various sculptures dotted around and a play area. Good paths, it was raining for a few days before but not muddy. Cant advise on wheelchair suitability but did see people out with prams. Dogs welcome. Overall, very enjoyable :)

Beacon Fell in Preston is a stunning nature reserve that offers a fantastic hiking experience. The area is well-maintained, and the trail is not too steep, making it accessible to hikers of all skill levels. The scenery is breathtaking, with beautiful trees and open fields to explore. The highlight of the trail is the stunning viewpoint, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The park also has a lovely cafe and picnic area, making it an ideal spot to relax and unwind after a long hike. Overall, Beacon Fell is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable hiking experience in the Preston area.

Always a lovely place for a walk with family and friends and a picnic. Very popular with families and dog walkers. Good for children as there are many wood carvings to discover amongst the trees, and the ever popular stone snake. The volunteers here work hard to keep the park tidy. The cafe at the visitors centre was still only takeaway when I last visited; but there are tables and benches to sit at. A lot of dog walkers. Plenty of parking. A small fee is required if you park at the visitors centre but there are many other car parks around around the fell. There is. BBQ area on Carwags (the road up from the east side) with a path up to the main part of the Park. There is a one way system around the fell which avoids problems on the single track road. Great views across Parlick, Fairsnape, Bleasdale fell, and out toward Morecambe bay from the summit. Nice easy fell for smaller children to summit before trying harder walks in the Bowland area.

A family oriented walk through managed forestry over decent surfaces and complete with a cafe and toilets upon your return to the very reasonable car park. Pleasant, green and lovely with just enough effort to make you believe that you deserve coffee and cake aftwards.

I hadn't been to Beacon Fell since before Covid, and now osteoarthritis makes walking difficult. There are more paths and amenities (Sept 2023), and various areas have been replanted with mixed woodland. The view from the trig. point at the top is as good as ever!

Lovely walk round. We only did the red route(about 40 mins) nice sculptures to find along the way. The teenagers enjoyed it too.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Wonderful city park, free from city noise, down by the river Ribble. All you can see of the town itself is a row of beautiful Georgian houses along the top edge of the park. It must have been this peaceful and looked this way for well over 100 years
