Went to eat there as I was in the hotel next door but the gentleman at the door was so kind and said he is fully booked with half of the restaurant empty. He look in the book, pointed to all bookings (5 or 6 of them) so I can see that. I went somewhere else for my dinner and when I return to the hotel the restaurant still half empty... If I'm alone can I not eat in your restaurant? You are not Italian for sure... Italians take care of all their customers. Same on you !

Big disappointment. We came for a pre-ordered event. Nothing was prepared and we had to wait for almost an hour to get pre-ordered food and drinks. The food was rather average, my garlic mushrooms were nowhere near the garlic, seabass average and chips overcooked. At the very end we ordered desserts but after another hour of waiting we left as the staff asked us to wrap up the party to make space for other customers. There supposed to be two bottles of wine on every table, but was just one. If you want to host a pre-ordered party there it is a waste of money.

Shocking!!! Only got sat down 40 minutes late. 1 hour for starters to arrive. And they forgot one of them. Tinned mushrooms, cheap sauces, cheap olive oil, rude staff. But to top it off, we walked out refusing to pay for our starters and they could stick their main meal where the sun don't shine. Won't be going back there ever. Don't go through what we went through.

Not had a bad meal or experience here yet. My partner loves the espresso martinis, she says they are so much nicer than a lot of places. Once again it's the little things that make the difference between somewhere being good or being great. My little boy is extremely fussy when it comes to eating. At the moment he likes garden peas so I asked the waiter if they had any. He went to check quickly came back and said yes and how would I like them serving. A couple of minutes later there were a bowl of peas in front of a very happy little boy. Keep up the good work Ballaro👍.

Attended tonight a table of 8 (5 of which were kids). We got our drinks no issue but waited 45 minutes for our food order to be taken, despite asking twice. Witnessed an older lady fall down a step and hurt herself. Myself and other customers helped her, no staff helped her, whilst I was trying to help a staff member bathed past me to take someone their drinks, no thought for the lady. Once the lady was sat on a chair, she was very shook up and in pain, the manager (I believe) handed her her bill! There was no empathy at all. We received our starters after an hour, kids meals didn't come with starters and we had to ask twice again for the kids meals as they were starving. We noticed the pizza guy used the same cutter on all pizzas without washing it, I wouldn't be happy if I didn't eat meat or had allergies. Mains were a ridiculous wait, everyone around us seemed to be getting bits here and there. The mains weren't served together so all of us had finished as the last main came.. food wasn't great. I did complain to the manager and thankfully my main was removed from the bill. Staff were very inattentive, looked like they had no idea what they were doing, one lad kept roaming around and glaring at everyone which made us feel very uneasy. The play area outside is very dangerous! My 4 year old fell and cut her knee open, management saw me with her and offered no plaster etc or even asked if she was ok.

1st visit here with a friend, very spacious, atmosphere is relaxed, music playing.Table prebooked online..Time given to choose our food..starters, main, dessert ordered..excellent food, customer service, price of food was reasonable for the quality of food, presented well also. A few families with children too, & they're made to feel welcome, parking available on site same as Travel Lodge. Definitely a firm favourite now for us!

I have been here many times before and every time it’s brilliant. I think the system they have set up to smoothly run the service during this time works very well also. I was there last night, mine and my partners meal was fabulous. Highly recommend the pizzas. The cocktails are also great. Service is amazing, one waiter in particular was incredibly helpful, however I failed to get his name. Only disappointment was neither me or my parter felt well last night after the meal. This could just be spent to the fact we had calamari which can be hit and miss at many places.

I came here for tea with my friend. It was a weekday around 6 pm. Lovely atmosphere, the staff were so friendly and helpful. There was an offer on too so the price was very reasonable and the food was absolutely stunning. It was the best burger i have ever had. I will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend it.

Went here for an evening meal after work with colleagues. The guy who seemed to be in charge told us that we would have to wait! The bar staff were welcoming and the waitresses friendly and courteous. The food was very tasty. Just sort the grumpy man out.

Excellent service and really good food! Never disappointed when I go to Ballaro'. There is plenty of options on the menu, accessible parking and a kids play area! The prices are reasonable as I believe you get what you pay for.

The restaurant was bustling when my grandson and I arrived but we were quickly seated and had a drink in our hands and food order taken a short while later. Our steaks were served on a hot stone and were superb. I can’t remember when I last enjoyed a steak this much. And because it was a steak night, the cost was very reasonable. Great service too. All in all a fantastic night.

I'd rather give it 2.5. to be honest the spaghetti Bolognese wasn't really unique to me it tasted like something you could get from the supermarket, and my Bolognese was rich? so I left half of my pizza. Additionally we was left waiting for a while after eating like they forgot about us we saw our server just chatting to the pizza oven guy. I liked the garlic bread and the starters we ordered were better then the mains

Exemplary service from the front of house staff to squeeze us into a packed house when we turned up on spec without booking prior to a cinema date. Our food was gorgeous and we had a fabulous time at this excellent restaurant. The staff were very attentive and noticed when our glasses were empty. Our food was high quality and served promptly so we couldn’t have asked for more. We even made the cinema on time!

Back in the 70/ 80s we had the little chefs (little thieves) Ballaro's takes it to another level. The pizzas are good cooked in a traditional wood oven, the rest of the food is just about average to poor standard. For a so called Italian eatery the salad was limp old and very under assuming the squid tough and rubbery as was the rump steak. The service was fast and furious a bit like the film with loud music that overpowers any chance of an atmosphere situated in grounds that really do resemble a motorway service area with drink prices to match. In summary if you want poor food with fast service and an empty wallet too boot this is the place to go! Enjoy...

Had mushroom in whine cream sauce on toast for starters. Tasted amazing just like my mum used to make. Then had a steak on stone cook urself. Enjoyed it all that good I eaten everything. I don't usually finish all my food. Will be back again for that starter again defo

A great experience from start to finish. Visited for Friends birthday. There was a steak option or 2x courses for £17.99 with a bit extra for a steak but still excellent value. Food was amazing and the steaks brought on a sizzling hot plate each. The service was fab and the wind bill worth every penny. Would definitely recommend and will be back for more

Spur of the moment visit with family after open evening at college. It was reasonably busy for a Thursday night, with some rowdy punters celebrating a Birthday. The food and drink were good, portion size was fine, waiting staff friendly. The rowdy people got rowdier...kind of spoilt it for me.

My experience at the Ballaro has been amazing, everyone is so sweet and kind. And helping me to make the best of my stay. The breakfast is far from normal. Gamze, walked over with a smile and was so helpful and kind. She answered all my questions, and made me feel like I'm part of the family of the Hilton chain. Thank you again for making our stay enjoyable.

You wouldn't expect this place to be here but what a great find! Delicious pizza and great children's meals. Really child friendly and even a little play area outside for the warmer days. Definitely want to try the steak night next.

If you're after substandard service, long waiting times and fairly ordinary Italian cuisine, then Ballero's is for you. After an inordinate spell twiddling our thumbs hoping our meals would arrive, our waiter (who appeared to be the manager, actually) plonked the food on our table without any hint of politeness and, when I tried to get his attention to let him know he'd given my wife the wrong main course, he simply waved his hand, scowled and waddled off. I understand that the restaurant was busy -- I've worked in catering and recognise how frustrating it can be dealing with the public -- but I've genuinely had better dining experiences at service station McDonald's. In all honesty, the food was fine. I'm sure the chefs are nice people. The dining experience, however, left me pretty annoyed. Two thumbs down from me.

Food was cold and the place was cold too. Not for me in all honesty.

Had a takeaway for four delivered last evening , it was by far the worst takeaway we have ever had. The tapas were 3 quid each and were dreadful. The mains weren't much better, all for ££65, never again.

Great food and drinks, reasonably priced, excellent staff, clean restaurant and very well run kitchen. We were in a huge group and all the courses came out perfectly timed and cooked perfectly. Would definitely go again ? Pics show the chicken risotto and the plum and rosemary cocktail.

Me and my wife came here at 4.30pm today, As it was our 9th wedding anniversary. We were greeted with a friendly welcome and shown to our seats . We ordered our drinks and was supplied with 2 choices of menus. We ordered salt and pepper chicken wings which were tasty and moist. I had the 10oz fillet steak with cheesy mash and vegetables and peppercorn sauce and my wife had the lasagne with chips. We both had soft drinks and the service was excellent, the meals were excellent and we thought the price was worth paying what it came to A really pleasant meal and environment
