This was an easy five star's for me to give. Firstly parking was ample, with easy access into the premises. A warm friendly greeting, and seated promptly. The seating was allocated with a good distance between dinners. When enquiring whether they had Gluten Free options on the menu? The response was exceptional. * A separate menu, and an app that you can access for a list of ingredients, should you wish to check other options.* The food arrived hot, and the option of sticky toffee pudding or chocolate fudge cake was a huge bonus treat for me. ( Usually it's meringue, fruit, and or ice cream) Lunch can be quite stressful when you have dietary restrictions. Thank You for making lunch today a pleasurable experience.👍

The brickworks is very easy to spot as it’s on the main road. Access to parking on the premises. We opted for the let’s lunch menu where you can add a starter for £2 and a pudding for £2. The portion sizes were just right and it was really good. They do have an outdoor area for children to play on the swings etc. When seated a staff member told us it was table service. The staff were very attentive and checked on us to make sure everything was ok. Enjoyed our time at the Brickworks and will definitely will return when we are in the area.

Myself and partner went yesterday, I had scampi which was really nice, partner had the mixed grill, everything was cooked to perfection, The staff were so polite,helpful, friendly and very professional, overall we had a lovely time, and will definitely return, the young girl and I presume manager are a absolute asset to the company.

Terrible service the staff need to be retrained in customer service the food was awful over cooked, dry most was cold and a waste of money 1 person went to complain and acting manager escalated the situation by being provoking and being full of attitude. (Power tripping) my daughters chicken burger came rock hard 1 chicken cold and it was ment to be a bbq chicken burger she didn't touch it I spent alot of money to come home to feed the children and everyone again

Eight of us ate here on Sunday at 6.30pm. The service was excellent, really friendly and quick. The food was lovely with no complaints from anyone and we had a diverse choice of meals. The room was warm and welcoming and the prices were fair. We would happily eat there again.

Menus out saying they have drinks, when asked they didn't have any. No steak sauce available. Other than that, cheap, family friendly pub grub

My first visit here, lot's of parking availability was a Thursday 6pm, so started getting very busy. I didn't have a main, only wanted Garlic bread, didn't fancy the Thur Steak n drink offer as eaten late lunch. I chose the Passion fruit refresher which was lovely, & after looking at the cocktails on offer, chose 2for£10.75, Long Island Iced Tea/Sex on Beach, very good, but my favourite was dessert, Sherry Trifle Cheesecake with sauce & custard, exceptionally tasty, could have done with a double portion though £5.75, portion was small. Overall it was a good visit, part of a large group, we were waiting a while, & those that ordered 1st were served last. There was also an interactive Quiz on also to keep us entertained, & lot's of Sport's TV on, around the venue, & another room's sectioned off, a big place. Every night there are food offers available, great for families too with a kid's menu 🙂.

Came to the Brickworks over the weekend, the service was good, the staff was kind and polite. The garlic bread stater was amazing, for the main, I had the cowboy burger which was delicious but the chips was a little undercooked for my liking. My partner got the fish and chips but found the fish a bit too oily/greasy. Was definitely better since the last time we went.

Great venue with a good varied menu and fantastic outside space. Super child friendly which makes it easy for us mums and dads. Tried various dishes and have to say the burgers and homemade pizza’s are excellent. Would definitely recommend

Absolutely horrendous!!! Ordered a burger and waited 45 mins to receive it. Once received all 3 patties were rock solid to the point where it was impossible to cut through. Returned the food to the kitchen another 20 mins went by and nothing! Complained to the bar staff had to demand a refund which was eventually given.

Lovely place and staff, i went to a gender reveal party here. The staff where really accommodating, they blocked off an area for us. They offered buffet style food and some people bought there own food from the menu. I didn't eat much but all looked amazing. It is family friendly the kids loved the outside play area. Ive also seen they do a mother and baby morning.

I was advised to go back to the Acorn by my two sisters who had had lunch there earlier this week. I went with my grandson and daughter-in-law and son and was very very pleased with the quality of the food the pricing and how quicker we got served. We were assisted to place the order by a young man called Andrew who could not have been more helpful and cheerful. I highly recommend trying this place I hoped it's great and I will be going back.

All the staff were helpful and efficient, the food was very good and reasonably priced. The atmosphere and decor, I thought was pleasant. I felt very warm and comfortable on a chilly day. Thank you for an enjoyable dining experience, we will be back.

New name and layout but unfortunately still same quality. Layout inside is really nice but went on a Wednesday evening it was really quiet and took nearly 1 hour for the food to arrive. Once it arrived it was burnt like it'd been left under the heaters for a while. Unfortunately didn't have time for puddings

I’ve been going here for a few years now and food has always been good. This visit I had to send my food back as it was cold. They did replace it and we got on with our meal. The after effects of this meal was brilliant, I gased the grandkids out when we got back to the car. Kids head were hanging out of the car as they could breath from the smell! I though it was great! The bad (well as I’ve said I thought it was brilliant) smell continued for a good couple of hours. Extra bonus the kids stayed quiet because I threatened them with putting the windows of the car up! Thank you for a lovely, windy evening. Lol

Would definitely recommend, came in unsure on what to have and our bartender/server Anna let us know about the daily deal on which turned out to be great value for money and about the deals on the drinks, great customer service from her. The chefs did a great job aswell. Thank you.

Overall a great experience, the place looks very homely and the staff were all lovely! Hannah and Hayley have amazing customer service and very quick/ efficient service. Compliments to Danny and Rachel, the food was delicious.

I absolutely love the Acorn anyway, so was definitely going to come for the Santa breakfast. The amount of effort and hard work the staff put into this was obvious. The food was brilliant as always, and great value for money. I love how this pub is so family friendly and puts on so many things for kids. I come at least once a month with my mum and daughter. Honestly love the place. Great down to earth pub, and the Santa experience was spot on. Really convincing Santa too!!

I help run a Facebook friendship group with 3 others for the Lancashire area. This group has a total of 500 members, so we are always looking for new places to go for our group meets. I thought this would be a nice place to go as it is in the area where a few of our members are. There were approximately 15 of us at this meet and non of us would return. Pro *Nice atmosphere *Enjoyed the quiz. *Nice beer garden. Cons *Staff need training as not very attentive and non asked how the meal was. *Prices are very high for the area. *Food not the best-paid extra for a sirloin steak which had a big streak of fat all the way through the middle as well as the side which deemed most not edible. Half of the group asked for steak and none was cooked as asked (medium). *Filthy disabled toilet. We won't be going back and won't recommend which is a shame as lovely looking venue.

Friendly staff very helpful. Small queue at till to order food but didn’t wait too long. Food was good quality for price point, with generous portions. Food was presented well and as a table of 7 everyone was pleased with their chosen food choice. Food arrived in a timely manner with a smile. Thanks everyone, loved my tea out with my children/grandchildren!

The staff we're very helpful and accommodating, and it was very easy to book a table. We booked a table ahead of time as we had a large group, although we were originally booked for 14 people only 10 were able to make it, however management were verry helpful and were more than happy to accommodate us all on one table which was very much appreciated. The food arrived promptly and was more than satisfactory, in fact there were no issues whatsoever with the food at all. All in all it was a great visit and we will be back again next month.

The meal was very good with excellent and friendly service by the staff. The venue was clean, tidy, and had a pleasant atmosphere. Also, I found the price of the meal to be good value. Plenty of car parking available in a pleasant setting.

We came for the unlimited cocktails! Had a great time! The food was delicious as well as the cocktails made perfectly! We were served by Kieron and Kate who my whole family enjoyed their service. Thanks guys.

Had our Christening meal here and I must say couldn't be any better. Brought some flowers and a sign for the table and I was pleased with how colleagues set the area for us so nicely. Food was great, service was great, thank you again.

Yvonne was lovely. She took our orders quickly, asked if we needed any more drinks, asked how our meal was and nothing was too much trouble even though she was busy serving other customers. A thoroughly great experience with excellent customer service.

Service was great. Comfortable place to sit and eat. The mega chilli cheese burger was great but bigger than I expected! I thought it sounded big and wouldn't be as big as it sounded because who would serve that for the price?! I would definitely visit again

Booking online was super easy todo. Upon arrival was greeted by a member of staff to guide us to a table. We didn't know but staff was dressed up for Halloween looking absolutely incredible. They was all friendly and wouldn’t have asked for a better evening. Food and drinks orders all taken at the table and arrived in great time. We are close by and will be back

I came with my Son, Daughter, Sister and Granddaughters. The was servce was great and we enjoyed our food, the chicken burger was excellent. The children enjoyed doing the witch hunt kept them entertained

Went in to the Acorn pub yesterday. And what a transformation from when it was the Brickworks. Modernised to a high standard, food excellent and bar staff very helpful. The garden is fantastic the lay out and what they have done. Nathan the Assistant Manager was absolutely great with us nothing was to much trouble. We will definitely go back for a meal.

Me and my hubby came in for lunch earlier today & it was pretty quiet on arrival but got busier. Our waitress was Shannon and she was really lovely and attentive even once the place filled up she still managed to get to us for more drinks. She was superb. We got our drinks quick and food wasn’t a long wait either considering how many other people there was. 1 thing we did notice was the waitresses looked rushed off their feet so I think more waitresses would have benefit them poor girls but regardless we both had a realLy nice experience and we both loved our roast dinners and will return soon. Thanks again!

Great service but the food let it down. No one came to ask if everything was ok! Steaks were requested medium but one stark came medium rare and red. Th either I could not eat as it was chewy, sirloins are not meant to be chewy that’s why we chose a sirloin and not rump! Service 7 out of ten. Food 4 out of ten. The pizza was good.

Ample parking, polite staff, but had to wait 40 minutes for main course. We didn't stay for dessert as nobody asked us about placing our order. Had to go to the bar to ask for the bill, as there was only 1 waiter working.

This place has gone downhill in recent years. Our most recent visit saw us experience a long wait to order our food, a long wait before we received our food, a long wait before it was cleared, a long wait to order our desserts and then a long wait before we received our desserts. The food was mediocre at best, my steak was overcooked and my sundae had all melted before it had even got to our table. A clear sign that it had been waiting for a while before being taken out of the kitchen to the table. The staff were friendly enough when interacting with us but that was just when taking our orders and payment. On arrival, the staff advertised a full table service but customers were getting so tired of waiting that queues were forming at the bar just so they could get served.

Terrible service, so inattentive. We were waiting an hour for our food on a quiet weekday evening. We were going to order dessert but then no one came to clear our plates and ask about dessert for a further half an hour after we had finished, so we decided against the idea. Food was mediocre at best, we will not be going again

What a great addition to the town. Fab refurbishment. Lovely friendly welcome. We were a party of 7 and we all enjoyed our food which was served really quickly as it was very busy. Good menu choices with very reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend and will go again soon.

Really nice Decor.....food decent at a reasonable price. Lovely place. Staff member Andrew was very chatty when he was asking us to leave a review.....however once my partner had left a review and tried to speak to him to give him the positive feedback, he was quite rude/ignorant...muttered and walked away as she was talking to him. Terrible lack of manners stopped this from being a 4 or 5 star review
