Smashing cafe bar with friendly staff and nice food.

Absolutely lovely. Very friendly staff. Extensive menu which made it hard to choose. It was my 1st visit, and I will certainly be back.

I was there for lunch with my best friend. And I must say the Burger was brilliant. And the Service was also good and friendly.

Nice place, good coffee; uninspiring food choice Pros: good coffee, friendly and professional staff. Cons: ordered eggs on toast and two pieces of half buttered toast came out with 1 x egg on each. It just looked 'badly presented' and expensive for what it was. I had been led to believe I would be impressed. I wasn't. In fairness, I got what I ordered but expected more. I'll be trying other food places on the street in future.

Had some dinner here last week and it was beyond disappointing to say we are regulars to the cafe. My food order was wrong when I clearly pointed out on the menu what I wanted, the waitress was rude and not understanding. The groups food was brought out at a different time so I had nearly finished mine by the time my family received their food. You never know what other people are going through especially when they make special requests, this was for good reason as my nephew has autism. Therefore he suffers with what foods he will eat so we requested 2 hash browns and a pot of beans as it’s the only thing he would eat, only to be told “ we’re too busy we can’t do that”. But if I would of been getting a breakfast they would of had to Cook hash browns and warm some beans up anyway. ( I understand when it’s busy but there was no apology or understanding as to why we wanted that specific meal for him ). Overall, the food was bland and the tomato soup was sour like there was no sugar added to balance the acidity. This is unfortunate because it was our favourite cafe.

Service was great but the portion sizes were disappointing. Ordered smashed avocado on toast with poached eggs and halloumi which cost over £10 which was 1 small slice of sourdough with a thin layer of avocado and four slices of halloumi. Overpriced in my opinion. We also ordered waffle with salted caramel which was £4.95 so we expected freshly cooked. Unfortunately this was shop bought. Outside was warm but the middle was cold. Real disappointment compared to my last visit.

Four of us went here for coffee and cakes, on Saturday 16th Sept. There was a great selection of cakes all tasty and fresh, good-sized portions. Also, there is a good selection of milk for the latte. The service was excellent and the staff were polite and friendly. There is also a good selection of hot foods etc, which we will try on our next visit. 😀

First time I've been last week, it was a lovely place. Looking forward to going again.

visited today on a cycle trip and got an excellent coffee and scone. They were doing a roaring trade around mid day but still managed a fast service. Very much recommended.

Always a lovely atmosphere and tasty food, can get a little busy at times but staff are very attentive and accommodating.

Seated upstairs for the second & last time. Order taken, drinks served after 5 mins. My wife had plenty of time to browse the over priced clothes shop upstairs prior to the very bland food was served. Im sorry I had to leave this review as my expectation was higher the second time around. Call me daft if you must but I'd rather eat at fresh cafe a few doors down. Been many times with only 1 complaint.....

I have been going here for many years. The gluten free options have always been excellent but this week was quite disappointing, the cafetiere p0ts leaked there was coffee everywhere and somehow I felt that you was losing your way. I love this place please get it back together again

Wonderful food. The staff were all friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble for them.

We had Tuna and Cheese Panini coffees and cake. Which came to £31.00 The panini was a little greasy with more cheese than tuna. Coffee was good carrot cake was good. Staff were really nice. The place was busy and the ambiance nice. Maybe we chose the wrong dish.

Had a chicken burger and chips was delicious Staff very helpful,friendly and checked everything was ok

Didn't rate the food or service when I last visited, never went back. Used to really enjoy the place with family but went very expensive and poor quality. (Old review and based on my last visit in 2019)

Long wait for my coffee the wrap and salad etc took 30 minutes to arrive it was cheese ham and Branston but have to say more Branston than cheese and ham for almost £9 very disappointed coffee cold by then did mention this to the waitress but just a grunt.

Lovely service and atmosphere and the food was delicious. Really great value for money too.

Had a lovely lunch here. The staff were so welcoming and checked on us regularly to see if everything was okay with our food and drinks. The food was delicious. I will definitely be returning here in the very near future.

Just been here, frequent visitor but won't be returning back. Food was cold & tasteless, very disappointed. Staff friendly & service efficient but felt like I had wasted my money today.

One of the worst places I've been to. Not quite sure where to begin... the chairs were so old and soft you feel like you've sunk into oblivion. 'Cappuccino' tasted like it was made with uht long life milk and was a watery mess. Garlic bread with no garlic; reminiscent of cheapest range from a supermarket. Paninis/baps made with no effort, no butter, no sauces , kids meals just so mediocre, usual stuff in between two slices of cheap white bread and jacket potato filling was mushy and fishy tasting. But really attentive and pleasant staff though!

Food is amazing and customer service really makes the trip worthwhile. Great selection and always polite. Can’t recommend enough!

Stopped here for breakfast, we are not local but lovely full breakfast the sausages and bacon were good quality.

Lovely friendly cafe, excellent service, great coffee and delicious cakes.very comfortable surroundings with a very relaxed feeling, we will certainly be back the next time we are in Rawtenstall.

The staff were amazing even when it became very busy they had time to be nice polite and honest about how long food would be which I found wonderful my concern was eating off wooden bread boards I understand its all new and trendy but not for me the pricing was a little high until you see the quality of food than its so worth it I will be calling again and do recommend everyone pays a visit
