My son wanted to treat me to breakfast on his day off and thought we'd try here for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised how lovely and friendly the place and staff were. Made to feel very welcome. The food was excellent! I had poached egg on advocado with asparagus. Perfectly cooked and delicious. My son had the full English. Again perfect. Top ingredients. The prices are more than fair. Will definitely be going back to try the afternoon tea and have recommended it to several people. What a lovely relaxed and friendly cafe and staff. 😁🤗

I received an amazing afternoon tea for a birthday surprise from my thoughtful sister in law. I have never had an afternoon tea like it ever. It was high quality products and there were so many of them on my platter. It was suited to my vegetarian choice and every morsel was so tasty. I felt so pampered. My thanks to Elsie and her team for making my Birthday so very special. And if you haven't done already, I recommend you try it yourself. You will not be disappointed. quality

Overall the butty was good and the presentation was nice, the only thing that put me off was the fermented coleslaw which is a real shame.

Great food my only complaint is please wait till both people have finished eating till you clear table nothing worst then you still eating and they take your partner's plates away have you not been trained to know you wait till both r the table have finished . apart from that would highly recommend you try cafe if in Accrington

Went yesterday.First time i have ever been here,Will definitely go again.Lovely and friendly staff.And good food.

Bizarrely, we saw a write-up for The Boardwalk online, while we were in the middle of France. It sounded well worth a visit so upon our return, Julie and I thought we'd pop in. The Boardwalk was warm and inviting, the atmosphere perfect. Laughter met us from behind the counter and some good banter with the customers there. The breakfast had been recommended so I went for that. Julie went for scrambled eggs on toast. Tea and coffee arrived quickly with a smile, followed soon by our breakfast choices. Both meals were good to look at and very good to eat. A happy place with free laughter and banter, good food and a warm welcome. This was our first visit. It won't be our last.

Lovely pannini afternoon tea for 2 and children's afternoon tea for 2. Great value will definitely come back.

I have celebrated two birthdays with boardwalk, one before covid and one during lockdown 2.0, both times we really enjoyed it and had a fab experience. Brilliant, friendly and helpful staff!

Best cafe in Accrington a lot of effort going into every serving ever time

Just had an afternoon tea delivered for my wife’s birthday, what can I say it is fabulous couldn’t fault it for the price, everything you needed and more would definitely recommend them, give them a try you won’t be disappointed I’m sure

I had the broadwalk breakfast, well presented, well cooked, good quality ingredients, the sausages weren't quite the best for me, but that's just a personal opinion. There's only one place in Accrington that do a better breakfast, I highly recommend, I will be going again.
